Great value and quality. The only problem that I have with these pants is that the inseam was too short.
Just got it last friday, I wear 32/33. Ordered 34 with a light cotton pants inside rode in 40 degree weather, very comfortable and warm as mentioned.
The ankles were feeling little cold as the elastic in the ankle area is loose, need to have a better quality elastic band.
works great, especially when matched with corresponding jacket
These pants are the greatest. In the cold, they are excellent for keeping the wind from chilling my legs. The pants ride a little high to keep the kidneys warm. The knee pads are a little high while standing but not when riding. Wife says these pants look sexy on me, definitely a plus!!!!
Only feel stiff at first. Once worn for a bit they are awesome!
I bought these for warmth to throw over my pants on the cold days. Leather is not prevelant on these, actually it looks somewhat out of place. They are comfortable and warm so I am happy with the purchase.
Pants offer good protection and warmth in cold weather.
Great riding pants for $70!! I am VERY please with the product for the price! I did not expect the zip out lining at all, its not listed in the item details! I haven't tried to zip the lining out to see how they will fit over another pair of pants/jeans but I suspect it will be just fine! These are my first pair of real riding pants and I am very pleased, thank you LeatherUp for the great deal!
I like these pants a lot with one major exception. They are too short. I am 6'1" with a 33" inseam and when sitting on my bike, the legs hike up almost to the top of my boots. With constant shifting back and forth on the saddle, they eventually slip over the top which causes great irritation to say the least. That's a shame because they are really well made and comfortable otherwise. I wear 34" jeans and ordered these pants with a 36" waist. I have no trouble getting them on over my jeans.
Just took a ride with these from my home in Vermont to Lake Placid, NY. 38 degrees F, snow on the ground, gusty... and my legs were warm and dry.
Fit is right, construction is excellent. Worth every penny.
very warm good medium protection, these pants are warm even without the removable liner.
above 80 degrees there hot. Good for cold weather 30 to 50 degrees nice looking. Could use
some vents to cool and more pockets. Kim, Texas hill country rider
All around these have been great pants. I feel safe with them on, and even in hot weather I can stay cool and not look like a clown. One major issue though, I've had these pants for a little over a month and the crotch has begun tearing pretty badly. I am only 5'11 and 160lbs, and pants shouldn't tear like this. It's too bad you only get 30 days to return items.
The price for the quality of pants is excellent . So far the durability has been good also ( I hope I never have to find out how durable they really are ) The fit is okay ( the knee pads and the shin pads keep riding down your leg when riding ) a hook and loop added here would help hold them in place . Overall I am very happy with the product so far .
I'm disappointed with the quality of the pants liner. One of the legs doesn't have any of the retaining loops. It doesn't effect the function of the pants, it's hard getting them off.
By far the most comfortable pants i have found for protective gear. Combine that with the jacket and presto. Now lets see how it does on a long trip.
I ordered these pants and the jacket that went with it. I wear my gear all the time! I was on the 710 on ramp when I notice a car speeding up behind me, the car came so close I thought it was going to ram me! I ended up coming on the outside hitting gravel and sliding 100 feet! I walked away with only minor road rash! A CHP officer came up and heard about a broken down bike when I told him that I'd slid a hundred feet his eyes went wide and he looked me up and down couldn't believe it and then shook my hand and said thank you for wearing your gear! I wish you could post pictures. I never caught the car that ran me off the road. So I say GEAR GEAR GEAR!
Ordered this pants to match my Xelement Jacket and can say I'm very happy with the purchase. Construction is top notch. Fits and feels perfect. Only thing is that is hot !! Unlike the Xelement jacket that allows both the waterproofing and warming liners to come out, in the pants only the warming liner comes out, not the waterproofing. The shipping as always was quick. Thanks again Leather Up !!
pants felt great, the fit was amazing, i run on the thin side 5"11 and around 140 lbs. BUT major down side was after the second day a wore them (taking my safety class :P) when i got home, the seat of the pants was Complete shredded from seam to seam. this of course worry's me, since i had no falls, and was sitting on the bike for about 6 hours over the course of two days. All i did was sit on a padded seat, and the Cordura was totally ripped. i would not recommend at all. now im going all leather, all the time.
Not sure which stars I pushed but these pants were a perfect fit for me. I am a size 40 and booth 42. I can get jeans on under them or ride naked with these. Now I need a jacket and will buy mine here. I give it 5 stars
I'm 5' 7", 173 lbs, wear size 33 short jeans. Originally I ordered a size 34", way to small, I could not even zip the jeans with the liner removed. Ordered a size 38 and they worked well. I bit big in the waist, but not a problem with the velcro waist band. Length of the legs were perfect.
Very happy with the Xelement riding pants. I took a 5 day 1,100 mile trip from Wisconsin - Ontario - Wisconsin. First hour of the trip it rained hard. The pants kept me 100% dry. The whole trip I did not use the liner. Early mornings were 50%, temps were fine on my trusty 83 shadow 750. In the afternoons, I would use the pant's until it got sunny and 75% , then the pants got a little warm.
Suggestion when buying:
1: Sit on your ride, then measure your waist. Buy 1 or two sizes up. Better too big then two small.
Very impressed so far with the pants.
Answer: Leather can be stretched some what if it's wet. But you should seek a professional cobbler to see if they can be stretched before you try it. Quite honestly you won't have much luck with customer service I found. They're very obnoxious, unhelpful and generally not pleasant to deal with. I wish you good luck
Answer: This is why Revzilla.com, denniskirk.com, and motorcyclesuperstore.com are so popular. I called each of these companies before and spoke to an actual person who had the product in their hands while talking with me.
Answer: You unfortunately made a bad choice doing business with this company. Go check their reviews. They are the worst company I have ever dealt with. I'd be amazed if you get ANY response from them at all! Sorry to tell ya.
