I'm paying for mowing every 2 weeks at my brothers house while he is ill and not there. The city of Reynoldsburg sent an invoice for nuisance grass stating the grass was 22 inches long on 8/7/2025, which includes a $88.75 mowing fee and $180 fine. I was charged by Lawnstarter on 7/25 for mowing. There is no way the grass grew to 22 inches in 2 weeks. Lawnstarter says I only have 5 days after the mowing to dispute the charges and will do nothing about it
Very disappointed in LawnStarter. I have been using LawnStarter for a couple of years. I finally hired them to also do bush trimming. I got a text that my service was completed on May 28, but when I got home the bushes hadn't been touched. I called and they assured me I wouldn't be charged for the service. They immediately charged my credit card for the mowing and bush trimming. I kept using LawnStarter through all of the constantly changing pros and no-shows, but this was the end for me. Photos are from May 20 and June 1 - I don't see a difference in the bushes.
I signed up for this service and the pro did not show up for the 2nd week, when I tried to cancel the service they refused to let me cancel saying "you signed up for 3 services." I do not recommend this service.
Robert P. Is a true professional! He precisely cut the height of the grass to specifications. His edging is exact! What more could you ask?
I am not there to se the lawn right now but my neighbor check it for me and said it looks great.

Recently had a triple bypass. This put an end to doing the yard work this year. Contacted Lawn Starter on the advice of a friend. Lawn Starter quickly assigned a professional to take care of my property. It's been a couple of weeks and no complaints. The yard looks like there was never an issue with me. I called asking for information. My property is very steep and I cannot really mow it. I need to use a weed eater or any other tool like that. I was explaining my situation to the woman who answered the phone and she was extremely rude to me. Very unprofessional.

They refused to mow the grass because it was too long.
So, I mowed my own grass and kept it short.
But they refused again due to long grass only two days after I mowed it very short.
I requested a service the next week, but they failed to show up on the day of service.
When I contacted them, they said they were behind their normal schedule.

Always on time and communicates when he's unable to make it. We've been using him for a little over a year now and our yard always looks great after.
No telling who shows up to cut your lawn or how they will cut it. Furthermore, apparently they do not follow instructions. Contrary to express written instructions, they completely covered my new black mulch with grass clippings, and cut my newly planted grass to the dirt. Do not use these people because eventually you will be sorry.

I've just started using LawnStarter but have been very happy with my service. The same person has come out a few times and he's been very flexible and done a great job with my yard! I love how easy it is to get services and communication within the app is fast and convenient even if I'm not home. Everything has also been super affordable.

The mowers are punctual and do a nice job on the lawn. The app will send updates when they are on the way which is helpful and nice to know. They take their time and are such to not miss anything.
