Ive been using these guys all summer! Ive had several different contractors come out to my place and mow the lawn over the past few months. Everyone was professional and courteous, not to mention they were on time. Highly recommend using these guys!
I have used it several times and all worked out well. I think it is pretty convenient. Except recently, I paid $27, but had to cancel the order due to an unforeseen reason before the job was accepted. After the cancellation, the job was accept. Then I sent a message through their website to the contractor. The contractor acknowledged and didn't performed the service.
Now I am waiting for my refund. I have sent them a few requests and it seems they are ignoring me...
I have other lawn service need and will only use them again if they will credit me back. I think any credible companies will take care of their customers so that their customers will come back. Then they can develop a solid base, especially for this kind of repeating business.
*********As of 9/25/2016, they have refunded my cancelled order. They also publish a new website. I think it is much better. It is more clear on cancellation policies, which are most of the conflicts come from.
I just placed 2 more orders. I tested 1 order for bid. Not a lot of experience yet. But my observation is, if you want to let contractors bid, place your price $2-3 lower than you desired price. Because the bids are all higher than your listing price. Anyway, I view this as positive since you can also pick your contractor using bid.

I hired them for a mowing because my mower had broken on me. I ended up fixing it within a couple of hours and went to cancel the order. First off, their website is horrible and poorly designed. Second, there are no options to easily cancel an order. When you finally, by some miracle, find the cancel order or file dispute page, when you click on either option - it takes you to the home page! So i emailed their support email, and got a response basically threatening me. They said they would send me to collections and I'd have to pay attorney fees, over their outrageous $15 fee that they steal from their customers who happen to need to cancel an order. If you place an order and need to cancel, they steal $15 from you, you heard that right! They are thieves. Paypal did not refund us, and they kept our $32 total order cost. No refunds, no email replies, nothing. They are con artists.
***UPDATE - Responding to Lawnmowingonline's response message below: YES, your $#*!ed $15 fee notice is everywhere EXCEPT the place it SHOULD BE, where customers would actually see it and know it exists - Can you guess where? How about ON THE ORDER PAGE, BEFORE YOU PLACE A FREAKING ORDER! Ding Ding Ding! But no, instead you leave it hidden (like the conniving thieves you are), where customers almost never go prior to making a purchase a lawn mowing of all things, the terms and conditions page. WOW. When I imagine the lawnmowingonline office of operations, all I can picture are actual chimpanzees sitting behind computers in a dark, crappy $100/month rental office running 10/100 internet with IT hardware from the 90's. And that's actually an insult to chimpanzees! Lawnmowingonline is run by actual real life, in the flesh BUFFOONS. For the record, I hope your website gets hacked :)

Doctors, dentists, hair salons, moving companies and many other businesses charge fees if a appointment is cancelled within a certain time frame of when the service is being provided. So we adopted the same polices that those businesses do. If a person schedules services and cancels within 2 business days of the order being placed LawnMowingOnline reserves the right to charge a $15 fee. The policy has worked exactly as expected, more orders are getting accepted and mowed and fewer orders are being cancelled. Avoiding this fee is simple, just do not cancel within 2 business days of scheduling service. For example, if you order May 1st for mowing on May 2nd, do not cancel on May 1st, May 2nd (1 day) or May 3rd (2 days). The order can be cancelled on May 4th (3 days since May 1st) and there will be no fee. Of course by then the order will likely be accepted by a contractor and already mowed so there would no longer be any reason to cancel.
To make sure every customer knows about the cancellation fee it is listed in 2 places. It is listed on the Terms of Service page that all customers agree to before placing an order and the cancellation fee is explained in bold text and underlined on the cancellation page that all customers must fill out to cancel an order.
I placed an order and today I came home from work and magically my yard had been mowed! They did a fantastic job too!
I think those leaving bad reviews here are simply expecting too much for their money. Keep it simple, don't be afraid to tip online and PROFIT!

They were okay until you have a problem then HORRIBLE! Do not use them. This is the absolute worst customer service ever and I complained to the BBB and am going to the State Attorney General's office over a $35 job that I canceled and they did not remove from the site. I canceled because the job had not been picked up in 10 days then after I got someone else to cut my yard they sent out a contractor that cut my yard 2 days after I had paid someone else. I did not even hire anyone until after I received their email confirmation of my order cancelation. This has been a nightmare for $35 because now they have me battling with a contractor while they are holding my money. Then to add insult to injury, after I complained to the BBB, they send me an email saying they will refund my money but they are providing all of my personal information to the contractor so he can pursue me for payment. No ownership of their error. I paid another contractor $60because my yard had become overgrown waiting on their service and they want me to pay again? I don't want anything for free and I pay for services rendered to me. I had been using this service periodically since 2012 and cannot believe the run around I am receiving. They have a D rating with the BBB which I had not checked out previously. This is the first business that I have ever reviewed but I feel it necessary as poorly as I have been treated. Recognizing everyone's experience can be different I just say beware.
The first contractor did not provide service to the customer so the order was reposted and the first contractor was removed from the website. The new contractor took the order and provided service. Customer was unhappy with service provided and requested a refund. Contractor attempted to resolve the cancellation request by offering to remow for free but the customer refused. Order has been cancelled and refunded, contractor was not paid by customer. Since contractor provided a service but was not paid the contractor was given the customer's personal contact information so they may further attempt to resolve. If customer still refuses to compensate contractor for their work the contractor may file theft of services charges or property lien against the customer for unpaid services.
I found Lawn mowing online when we moved away from a rental house early and still needed the grass cut at the rental house. We had just relocated so we didnt know of any local companies to go through. It was so easy to go online, schedule and pay them all in one spot. The satisfaction guarantee is what made me try them out and I am BEYOND satisfied.
My wife and I have nothing but positive things to say about LawnMowingOnline.com. We used their service to have our grass cut while we were away on vacation -- before and after photos of our mowed lawn let us know when the job was finished. When we returned home, mowing was one less thing to worry about.

I read these reviews and they may be correct, but my experience with this company was far from great. First, you don't get the full scope of what is going on until you place the order. Such as cancelation fees and there was an issue with someone property being broken into while they were out.
I placed an order for the next business day - saw those FYIs and reached out for more information - no response. I then requested that I be notified in advance, so I could take off of work because I did not want my home broken into when no one was there - based on their information. No response. No one selected this job and I had added the additional funds as suggested. I informed them that I could not take off of work again to sit around and wait to see if someone would show up... No response. Canceled order and they had the audacity to charge a cancelation fee- for what? A SCAM! NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED. Reporting to my Attorney General's office...

I would recommend this site because it is easy to use and because they match you up with the best local service available. I am very impressed with this service and would recommend to anyone who has a yard that needs to be tended on a regular basis. For anyone that needs this kind of service I couldn't think of a better site to visit.

I came across lawnmowingonline.com on Craigslist. I needed my lawn mowed quickly and they really delivered! I placed my order online and in about 15 minutes I had someone accept my order! If it hadn't rained for a couple days they would have been there the next day. First sunny day they were there bright and early and did a fantastic job! I was notified that it was done, checked out the pictures on their website and that was it! This service is so convenient and I will most definitely be using them again and again. Check them out!
