I'm a long-time customer of Lancôme. I've got in excess of 50,000 rewards points. Problem is, trying to claim a reward using the points. You can't directly use the rewards from the website. You must first "redeem" the points and the points are immediately deducted from your account, but then you must retrieve a special code from an email they send in order to actually get the reward. I've tried to claim rewards for one of their higher ticket items 3 times. Each time, they deduct my account, send me a code that doesn't work, and then I spend 30-40 minutes online, by phone, or through email trying to get matters worked out. I just did this again today. Although they show the item as being available, it has never been available when I claimed it. And, they don't automatically restore your points even thought they don't send the item! After this last experience, I received an email saying they were sorry for the inconvenience, they restored the 15,000 points, and offered me a 15% discount available for two weeks. Right. They don't really honor the reward request but instead try to get you to buy more items at a 15% discount. I don't think so. It's the most user unfriendly reward program I've ever seen and at best, it's dishonest. You don't get the reward you really want. They give you what they want and if the item you choose is one of their more expensive products, you obviously won't get it. My days with Lancôme are over.
This company is a joke. They have the absolute WORST customer service I've ever experienced in my life. Lies, deception, bait and switch, faulty and misleading Elite Rewards program, untrained 'beauty advisors', GWP scam where they get you to buy a ton of stuff during gift with purchase, then either 'forget' to include your GWP or state that your items are out of stock, promise points for writing reviews - you will never receive the points, I could go on for days. Horrible - they have lost a long-term customer due to their horrible business practices and useless 'customer service' people.
Severe allergic reaction and a terrible burn on my face and eyes, where applied. Expense lesson learn. Hopefully they will refund me. Doctor' appointment tomorrow!
Horrible service. I will never order Lancome directly again. I placed an order and my credit card was charged immediately, but I never received a confirmation for my order. After a few days, I called in and they could not even find my order even though my card was clearly charged by Lancome for the amount of my order. Forget it. I don't even want the free gifts or my original product. It's enough for me to switch skin care lines evne though I have been loyal to Lancome for years.
And the list goes on. First am I the only one who struggles to use the website? I feel like I'm transported back to 1996 with my web tv keyboard sitting on my lap! Bad links, click on anything and you'll get nothing or something other than what you clicked on. Try checking out. Good luck! It times out or asks you to repeatedly sign in. I swear it's a sign from god saying stop don't order from here. Place items in your cart, watch them add free samples and perks, blink then watch them remove these perks and say they are out of stock, but expect 2 or 3 more emails in the days that follow promoting this fine gift with purchase perk you could have got if it wasn't out of stock. Don't like your product if and when you get it? Tough luck, your paying to return it! Got to be one of the last company's on earth that don't want there customers to be happy! Like the product you see in the picture? Well if they feel like it they will send you something else with different packaging or old stock and claim it's an online exclusive! Per the very rude customer service rep, it's all very simple. My particular color comes in an old package because it's a web exclusive! It is sold in the new packaging everywhere Lancome is sold... hmm. What does that explanation even mean or have to do with getting something that wasn't in the picture? I guess they should state items may differ from picture because they are old! When I have been successful in placing an order they have sent me an email within a few hours telling me I left something in my cart and was there a problem, did I need help checking out? When I've actually left items in my cart they've left emails for me saying I could have 15% off, just use this code, then there is no code listed! I know I sound crazy! I've only been ordering from them a very short time, I prefer to order from Macy's or Nordstroms but thought I'd give them a try because of the point system and frequent GWP perks but this is all just to ridiculous! Wish I didn't like there products so much because I'd like to abandon them all together but I have un-subscribed from there emails (saving some 60+ a month) and will never order directly ever again!
They are so great! I always get excellent service and they always give out samples. Orders always delivered on time, within a couple of days! Always a pleasure!
Placed an order to get the free 7 piece gift. Also spent another $30 to get an additional 3 piece gift. Order arrived and only 3 pieces free of one gift came. The rest was just pictures of what I was supposed to receive. Called them 10/17/16 when the order arrived and they said they would fix it and send the samples I chose. Today 10/26/16 I received the samples, only three things are what I chose. They said I called them 10/24/16, I said no I didn't call you that day I called the 17th. I told them out of the 10 free samples I picked out only 3 were what I ordered. I would not have spent that much money if I was not going to get what I picked out. They said they would send more samples but I know they will be nothing I picked out. I told them I would find makeup from another company in the future because I would not be ordering from them again. Lousy customer service!
I placed an order online with Lancome. I had a 15% off discount and qualifed for a free gift with purchase. The site had me choose my products for the 7 piece free gift. When my order arrived, the was no free gift. When I contaced them, they said that I could not combine offers. I pointed out that according to their website, I did qualify for the free gift and was given options for choosing my free products. Their solution was to offer me 15% off on my next order. Really? I told them that this was not a satisfactory solution to the problem. They should send me the free gift. Still waiting for a response. I will no longer be buying from Lancome. While I have been satisfied with their products, their customer service is terrible and they have poor businesss practices.
I was loyal for Lancome, but wen I went to buy the last Eyeliner, I forgot about lancome, the bottle is almost empty and I just used it 2 times.
How will i trust lancome again in the future.
I have used other Lancôme products over the year but I strongly recommend avoiding absolute skin creme. I had a burning severe red itchy swelling painful reaction and had to go on steroids. They will take over 4 weeks to reimburse me and had very poor customer support. I am no longer ever going to buy their products. Buyer beware.
I have been a loyal customer for years but when I tried to replace an expensive eyeshadow because the flimsy plastic case broke within a week I was refused because I didn't have the receipt. I phoned cudtomer service and was informed they would send me an addressed Jiffy bag in which to return it. That was five weeks ago and after repeated phone calls it still has not arrived. Dreadful service,
The quality of the product is GREAT. There is no doubt on that but... whoever is behind the special offers must be very smart... they rarely work. The "unsubcribe" word means. Please keep sending me junk to my email. I have an account, I ordered something and it is very hard to enter the receipt number to get earned points... if it happens that you change the email address, phone number or any detail. Forget about getting those points. Even when you follow the instructions on the website and typing the right number. It'll say that you are doing it wrong. Come on! Not everybody has tons of money to spend here... those earning points are somwhow of help... But it is so hard to get them in a very stupid way.The product is awesome and I would recommend it to anyone... But the way they are managing this website and offers make me kind of want to stop by Walmart for some Great Value skin care products...(jk)
I would definitely stay away from lancome.com! They advertise gift with purchase, but dont expect to receive it. This happened to me and they said that it is while supplies last yet they still had this promotion going on in their website when I e-mailed them. Why keep the promotion when you know you are out of stock? False advertising! Horrible servise. They offer the worst customer servise ever! I would definitely not risk buying from them as I have read other reviews of customers not receiving items they purchased and lancome will not replace them. This was also my first purchase and last. I am very disappointed with the way they handle problems.
I have been a loyal customer for over 10 years and decided to order online thru the lancome website for the 1st time. I am very disappointed as I was not told at any time during my ordering process that I could not combine offers/codes for bonuses. I was chatting with a 'customer service' rep while placing my order. After placing my order, I was told I could not combine offers. Within less that a minute I informed the rep that I wanted to cancel my order. Of course, it was not cancelled. An email and a telephone conversation to Lancome were not able to correct the problem. I offered them several opportunities to save a customer, but they were not interested in helping me. I will find another product line.
I placed an order on lancome.com on 11/30/12 and was very unhappy with the customer service of it. Website got frozen and it was the last day for a 20% off on each product. I then called lancome toll free number to place the order. Within 2 hrs, I received three notification of duplicate orders thru emails. I then called lancome toll free to cancel two out of those three duplicate. I called a total of 4 times during those 2 days and each time I got connected to a difference representative. Each told me diffferent situation: two duplicated orders were cancelled; I was not be able to cancel the orders because they have been processed; I was not be able to cancel the orders because they have been shipped. Finally, I received all three duplicated orders within the same 2 business days thru UPS. I had a chance to return but I did not trust lancome.com just in case they said I returned less than what I actually returned. Bottom line, I rather go to the counter in a department store to purchase lancome than purchase it online/thru their toll free number.
When I got my products, I found that my gift set was missing. I called 1-800-lancome several times in order to find someone help me to sovle the issue. One of the representative even cut off my call. I can not believe lancome representative has such rude and unprofessional behavior. What a horrible place!
I have been a loyal Lancome customer for many years and ordered from their website many times. Two weeks ago, I ordered 2 products, and when I received my package, there was only 1 in the box. I called customer service and they told me they would speak to the manager and call me back within 24-48 hours. I never received a response. I wrote an email after 48 hours had passed, and they also never responded. Horrible customer service. I won't be back. Stay away.
Very easy navigation, love the package gift they offer and most of all love the skin care products they have. Just ordered a couple of products and they where here by the end of the week with fabulous packaging. I love renergie eye- really good product and it does help. Most of all is not greasy. Highly recommended!
Lancome is a good brand. My mom started me using it when she pointed out that a lot of women in their mid 30s and 40s switch to Lancome because it's just better for that age. It's true. Lancome's foundation comes on really smoothly and feels great. It's also somehow helped me stay pretty blemish-free. I don't like to buy make-up in department stores because of the pushy, made up too much sales ladies, so lancome.com comes in handy when I need questions answered about the product. They've also sent me samples, and what girl doesn't like that?
