He has blood in his stool since I got them from Amish in Carrollton ohio I don't believe he was ever given any vaccines like his paperwork said I know they are an official lancaster breeder I'm pretty sure he's dying the breeder won't answer my phone calls

We bought our "Maria" from a nice Amish family in Spring Mills, PA. I saw parents and property and both looked nice. We've had our "Raven" now for almost 3 mos and she has been nothing but a pure joy to add to our home! She's so intelligent, inquisitive, healthy, funny, and sweet! I'm so glad we made our trip from WNY to get our newest "baby"! She is majestic (and a night owl)!

While I understand that there are puppy mills in Ohio, and that lancasterpuppies.com probably does represent some, we had a very good experience in May of 2022. We contacted a representative (Anita) about a couple of portipoo's in Fredericksburg, OH, and the communication and service we received couldn't have been better. They were forthcoming with all veterinary records, took the pups to a specialist for a check at my request, and I was able to speak with several veterinarians in the area, including the one that did the first puppy check of record, to verify not only the puppies health but that the breeder is reputable. The breeder was not high volume, but was licensed, and we were interested in these particular pups because of the parent's sizes. The rep even sent us pics of the breeders kennel area to ease my mind on where they were brought up, and it was spacious and clean. We used a very reasonably priced transport company that the representative trusted and recommended (Furry Trails), and the pups were delivered to us in CO in extremely good health, and had obviously been well cared for.
They have been thriving in our home for the last month, and we couldn't be happier with our choice of pups and seller. We didn't even have to pay in full until the puppies were delivered. I of course recommend you do your due-diligence as we did before deciding, to make sure the breeder is doing a good job, but I would definitely recommend this site based on our own excellent experience.

Been on there off and on for 4-5 years. No problems. Its a classified site. With thousands of breeders from 10-15 diff states. They dont sell dogs themselves. They charge a lil less than anyone else. Buyers are a rough bunch now-a-days. Weed thru interested parties carefully. They are not always good people and they are often ill mannered. Meeting adopties is a good idea for sure. Dont adopt to ignorant people and dont adopt to aggressive pushy
In-a-hurry people. Take your time. Feel people out. Pick the best. It works two ways. Join breeder groups. Share info and experiences. Our family appreciates Lancaster site. Good experience.

I've had an excellent experience with Lancaster puppies. Both of my dogs have been bought on this website & I would do it again.

We just got a terrific puppy from one of the breeders who advertise with Lancaster Puppies, the vet has checked her and pronounced her healthy, The thing to keep in mind about Lancaster puppies is that it is an advertising organization. They don't have any puppies. They advertise puppies for the breeders. As with any group, some breeders are reputable and some aren't. My advice is to personally go to the breeder and see the puppies and the situation before you buy. Don't make a deposit and if upon seeing the puppy, you aren't impressed just leave. Was in contact to get a particular puppy. Breeder knew I was traveling 7 hours to pick up the puppy. We had been in contact for four days (every day) before picking up puppy. 10 minutes before we reach the breeders, I received a call from him stating that 1) the puppy was at another persons house 2) the puppy I wanted was sold on Monday supposedly by accident 3) The puppy we did get cost $40 more than the other puppy and this was never told to us until we decided to get the other female 4) Breeders partner or whoever he was, kept trying to get us to get a male puppy at a discounted rate because one testicle hadn't dropped. Overall experience was not something I would recommend. Also, instead of being all together, each puppy was separated in different stalls so who knows how much interaction with other dogs and people they have had even though this particular breeder stated in his ad that they had been socialized. Also, was promised a one year health guarantee and never saw that either.

Got the cutest 12 week old chihuahua through them, the smartest dog I've ever had. We are in love. It was such a great experience and it was nice to meet his mom and brother as well.

At first when I arrived I was very skeptical and worrisome bc I suffer really bad anxiety and the Yoders just appeared out of nowhere. The Yoders were very welcoming, offered me to go into their house to pick up 'Kotton', and I declined but everything looked super clean and well kept when I arrived. Both apodera were super friendly and informative. She asked for the money, and I kindly asked if we can exchange at the same time I received the pup, and she was very understanding and said "yes, of course, I get you do not know me very well". It was a rain full event that ended with sunshine at the end. None the less, I drove from R. I. to PA, the Yoders were very informative and waiting for my safe arrival to pick up our beautiful Cocker Spaniel. Very well taken care of and full of love I received my playful, warm hearting, and HEALTHY PUP! I highly recommend their services. The following day I got my Mothers Day gift pup checked for everything up to his fecal and thank GOD all of his labs were negative! The pup came with a bash of food, ACÁ. Paperwork to transfer ownership, Guarantee Health Certificate and updated Immunization records. He didn't even have parasites so we are forever thankful for, Lancaster Puppies! Hi I was wondering if anyone has used Darren hilty while purchasing a dog I was looking on the site and I see you are supposed to do your research on the owners of the dogs before purchasing please let me know if anyone has a good or bad experience with him they are in grabill Indiana

Let's talk about puppy shoppers ----
Been advertising on Lancaster for about 7 years. The people that shop on there are horrible. Letting them know... all of us dog breeders keep track of yuins. We share our info. We keep track of shoppers that are rude aggressive pushy demanding don't use the words please or thank you, don't respond, don't show up & treat us poorly or tell lies about other breeders. We share your info so other breeders can *beware. Particularly when they don't get what they want, maybe a certain puppy, maybe a certain price, maybe a certain time or date they want for pickup or shipping. I've had people turn me into my dog warden on a made up false complaints because I wouldn't hold a puppy for 3 weeks. I'm sure all dog breeders can relate. Just know we keep your info. As for Lancaster puppies, I have no issues with them. They're not always polite. They'll take your money and keep it in a heartbeat and delete your ads. Or so ive heard thru the grapevine. As far as it being a good place to get a puppy. Well it's a classified site. It's not puppy mill. For all you people that ship your dogs and then you get a sick puppy and you're complaining. That's your problem. Why didn't you go to the person's house and pick up your dog? Too lazy? How about half you puppy shoppers get up off your butt and do your job. Get off your butt get in your car drive to people's home. Stop doing shipping and then complaining about what you got. If you go to someone's home and and you see disgusting filth and you decide to buy a dog anyway. Shame on you. Shame shame shame on you especially if you came on here and complained afterwards. What a disgrace disgrace you are.

The puppy advertised in the picture is not the one we purchased (ours is much more cute) although the "middle women" said he was. The breeder is not the one selling the puppies the "middle lady" housed many pups in her barn (which we were not permitted to see b/c she "had not cleaned it") knew nothing about the background of the puppy or the mother. This was our first time buying so we thought it was standard as she said she was just selling/showing them them bc the breeder had no room to keep them. We asked the name of the breeder and was only given a first name, she "couldn't remember" his last name. (Through research we found out) We were given no medical info except a basic vet info. We should have walked away, but the pup was so sweet and adorable, we fell in love. He is still precious and loving and life w/o him would not be the same without him.

Since we brought him home, we've spent over $4000 so far for care and a surgery is inevitable. A mediocre vet would have found the congenital disorder but there was no mention of an issue.

We drove 7 hours to an Amish area of Ohio in the middle of nowhere to get him. We were hesitant but paid, in cash (which the "middle lady" was glad to grab) for him. We'd spend a million dollars to keep our baby healthy but would NEVER use Lancaster Puppies again. I wish we'd conducted more research.

If this sounds like your situation, RUN. Don't look at the puppy, don't talk to anyone, don't even stop your car. It was a complete business transaction and not an act of love.

Lancaster puppies advertises puppies from puppy mills. You will get a wormy and sick dog. STAY AWAY!

I bought a pup from Precious pups USA in Bedford Ohio. Upon receipt of my pup who had to be shipped to me, I took him to the vet where I found out he is very sick. He not only had bordetella, but also an ear infection and giardia. Considering he has never been around any other dogs or outside since I purchase him there is no way he could have gotten these after coming to me. Lancaster puppies was a recommended site but this breader is not. Contacted the breader who was uncompromising and did not take responsibility for selling me a sick pup. The vet records were also forged.

Warning! This is a puppy mill! These people are awful and don't care about animals. Do Not Buy From Lancaster puppy mill!

I advertise on Lancaster Puppies and they arent always fair. Actually they are pretty rude. They dont treat all breeders the same. They are definitely on the side of Amish breeders and not the *other breeders. They charge $17 per puppy and most times you have to pay twice. Their site is outdated, a lil slow and the worse is if one does anything wrong at all. As in, even on accident like break a posting rule, they will delete your ads and no refund. They dont care. To say the least the Amish men that run the site are pretty rude sounding and if you aint Amish, they even ruder. Thing is they make money on us breeders. Lots, they clearing at least $250,000 a year for sure. For sure. Customers are no better. Aggressive is a good word for people searching for puppies. Dont expect to be treated with respect or kindness. Dog breeders are treated like crap in general. But hold up... They all wanna buy a puppy tho. The irony.
I keep track of the folks that treat me poorly. I keep a list and give it to other breders.
