Prices are quoted in U$
And exchange rates change
In Singapore, any mail order exceeding S$400 draws a 7% tax
It is very annoying to be charged 7% on a S$405 purchase - all because of currency fluctuations
Even more annoying is this:
The delivery company pays the taxes for me first
AND then charges me S$10 more - because they paid the taxes first
This is rubbish and even tv mobsters don't make that kind of money
So I suggest -
Let buyers put a deposit with keh first
Shipping charges are then drawn from this deposit
By keeping costs down, likelihood of me paying taxes and S$10 to thieving delivery guys is reduced
