Their website malfunctioned and added a bunch of extra products to my order. Then they ignored my email attempts to correct it until the duplicate items had already been embroidered, now claiming that they weren't returnable. They don't respond to their emails or texts until they accidently pick up the phone on you.
This supposedly "toughest" dog bed for the most aggressive chewers, like Belgiums, German Shepherds, etc. It lasted one hour with a 12 week old, 17 lb. lab puppy. They don't honor the warranty either. Save your money and expectations. They put more into marketing than product quality and customer service.
Don't waste your money. You think the reviews are great? They emailed asking for my experience so I submitted my 1 star review on 2/28 after our $100 bed was in pieces within 48 hours and surprise! My review is no where to be found. Shady business when they gain the trust of people buying into their false advertising and glowing reviews only to guarantee customers 1/2 back. If they're so confident they should allow all reviews to be posted and a full refund within 30 days or 1/2 within 90. It's a scam.
They claim the bed are chew proof, my dog ate through the pad within 5 minutes of having it. They sat there is a warranty if you dog chew it. I explained replacing it would be useless because the dog will just chew it up again and they told me they will not give refunds only replacements. Do not waste your money.
Our first ballistics dog bed did last quite a while and they did keep their policy on replacing the cover if the dog destroys any part of it. The issue that we had with that and the current bed we have from them is the liner on the inside flaking off. It is a HUGE mess and we followed the washer directions. I recommend using a handheld cleaner to clean these beds to make them last longer.
I bought five "indestructible" beds that "will last a lifetime." Nope, they lasted just about a year, until the fabric just fell apart and failed. Company stated "easy to clean, just wipe off." Also NOPE, the dirt gets embedded so no matter how hard you scrub the beds will still be dirty and stained - and then they will crumble and fall apart. The company's advertising repeatedly states "will last a lifetime" while showing a dog digging and scratching at the bed. At first they told me it wasn't possible for the fabric to fail. Then they said "oh the backing does come off but it won't affect the strength." Then when faced with photo evidence they said "oh yes that does happen once the beds are a year old but we don't cover it with our warranty" while STILL making ads stating the beds "last a lifetime." These people are creeps and need to be sued for false advertising.
Rarely do a write a negative review but at the cost of $1,750, I contacted the company. I needed replacement covers for the (7) deep den beds that I have and the website kept stating out of stock. I kept waiting patiently, and thinking they would return eventually due to the lead time of supply chain issues. Finally, I contacted the company and learned that covers were not only out of stock but discontinued! Couldn't the website state this? I WAS a loyal customer, have seven large/xl deep den beds and have gifted four. Obviously, I really like the quality and look. The company's fix: a bottom cushion only cover in black but the gray or black dog bed is still visible. The rep could care less that I had seven beds. My choice: live with the non-covered dog beds or buy new ones with covers from another company. I chose to buy new ones from a different company. K9 Ballistics lost a loyal customer today.
We thought this bed would be great for us but it was too heavy duty for us and heavy to deal with. It was also much too large for our dog and we wanted to send it back the day we received it but then we say their policy on the website and it was really horrible. They expect you to put the vacuum sealed stuff back in the box or no refund and it's only store credit if you can perhaps squeeze an elephant in a toilet bowl. There are many other stipulations that make it very hard as well. I would have ordered a different bed until I read the policy. Now I'd just like a refund and to send this bed back The beds or expensive and this customer service isn't going to make me want to order from them again.
My 12 week old puppy that we just picked up from the breeder chewed right through their chew-resistant bed advertised for "moderate" chewers! No guarantees about their product—just a store credit to buy another one?
For me, was a great experience. My dog chewed the tuff bed and I took advantage of the 180 day guarantee. My tuff dog bed was replaced very timely with no hassles and shipped free. All I had to do was send pics of damage. Personnel was very helpful both by phone and email. Grate experience doing business with them. I have proof of purchase on pdf. File
My dogs wouldn't even go on it. They are very hard. I can guarantee your dog won't chew them because they won't go near them.
Paid $85.00 for a dog bed that is hard and tight, my dog won't touch it, even with a blanket on it. I wouldn't sleep on it! Guess I didn't research the return policy well enough cause now I find out that they only issue store credits for returns (like I would actually want another of these horrible beds). Should have looked at the reviews before ordering anything from this company! Make sure you stay away from this company.
It didn't last more than 30 minutes with my husky. If I could give it a minus star, it definitely would get it! As soon as it happened I sent them an email. Just to get a response on Monday telling me that the warranty does not cover destruction like this if chewing the bed they claim I got was only for scratching. But when I looked at the item it said for chewing and scratching. Do not ever buy from these people
Purchased a dog bed needed to return dog hated it! They send me a label and then charge $30 damm dollars to use it! Stay away from this company!
I bought this bed because my youngest dog kept eating their dog bed. My oldest was having knee surgery and I wanted a comfortable bed that the other one wouldn't chew up on him. I ordered the expensive orthopedic one $250! I opened right away as he had knee surgery day before and hates it. He went on it for a bit as did the other 2, but now they won't. Called company and only accept returns if unopened. Their policy says they can't resell used items. Today many companies donate to charities. How about standing behind your product and make your customers happy and donate returned items to a dog charity/shelter? How do I know bed is hard and uncomfortable and dogs will hate it unless I open it and try to use it? VERY DIsappointed!
I ordered the very expensive bed as they said if your dog eats this, we'll eat it. Well my dog ate it. I filed the form on their web site and sent an email about it. They sent me a credit, not to replace the entire bed, but the cover. After I ordered the cover, there was enough credit left for me to get his name embroidered on it and there was still a little credit left. Well after not receiving the cover I sent another email. Like I didn't see this coming-they say they didn't get my order. I provided a screen shot showing exactly what I ordered and when. I asked if they just couldn't put the order through for me since I used the credit. So they put it through but wouldn't honor putting his name on it. Their reply was "I do apologize for the mix-up but the gift card should have only been worth the value if the cover which is $119. You can call in to pay $10 if you wish to have Nuggets name on the cover. " I was going to buy another very expensive bed for one of my other dogs but after not honoring putting his name on it, they just lost a $200.00 sale for the $10.00 to put his name on the cover.
Really people? I spent $259 for a dog bed that was all over the dining room in less than an hour of him getting his Christmas present. I would have expected a little better performance! He chewed both corners off the front of the bed and pulled the stuffing out before he got tired and decided to take a nap. He does have an apologetic look in his eyes and does look comfortable though doesn't he?
This is a perfect example of marketing and how the right words at the right time can sell products. Who would have thought that anyone would spend $259 on an "indestructible" dog bed. Probably because you thought you'd end up not having to invest in $30 dog beds that only lasted a few days. That gets you interested, but then to set the hook they throw in things like "ballistic material". This sounds similar to what saves our military and law enforcement professionals every day- so who wouldn't want that? Clearly, if it can stop a bullet it will hold up to a dog's chewing and scratching like the description indicates. And who would turn their nose down at "ballistic reinforced corners" which would be the first place a dog would try and chew. Clearly, when the dog can't rip up the always vulnerable corners the dog will know not to mess with the rest of the bed. But there's more! "Patented Rip-Stop Fabric" which suggests if the dog does start chewing the material won't just fray and run into the rest of the material. And, if anything happens where the dog does damage or destroy the bed within 120 days of giving it to him, the manufacturer wIll replace the product. How can you go wrong?
Well, my son's chocolate lab is no longer crated during the day, and has ripped up all beds he's had. So we bought into the hype so the puppy would no-longer have to sleep on the cold, hardwood floor. It only took him a few minutes to crawl in and take a nap, so since it's "indestructible", what harm would there be to leave him sleep for an hour. Well, the 14 month old puppy proved that 1) the bed isn't indestructible 2) K9 Ballistic material won't stop a bullet and really won't prevent a dog from chewing holes in it, 3) the "ballistic reinforced corners" don't seem to provide any additional protection against tearing, 4) the "Patented Rip Stop Fabric" didn't seem to stop the fabric from ripping and 5) the warranty is simply that the manufacturer just up charges everyone to pay for new beds for those dogs that destroy the indestructible bed. So I guess I need to thank all the others who bought into the hype and who had a good experience as you helped pay for a second bed for my son's dog.
I placed an order for this bed and was excited for my puppies to get a chance to use but it arrived used and and the wrong color I set it back the same day I opened and the company is trying to steal $40 from me and refusing to giving me money back for the mistake of the company. Stay far far away
My dog had the corner chewed off in 2 minutes. Not worth the money. Otherwise a nicely constructed bed
My K9 ballistics dog bed did not last one week. K9 ballistics only warranties cover and not actual bed. Don't waste your money with these thieves because their warranty isn't worth the paper it's written on!
