Tried multiple times to place order online and was unsuccessful... system errors on their end. I was told would have to wait 8 days to try again, and no other way to take my order. I guess they don't need or want the business. I will never try again!
I purchased 4 suits from Jos A. Bank. Trying to return them has been an ABSOLUTE nightmare. They've held my money, did not provide me with a proper receipt for dropping off my suits for return and now, dealing with online support, I have made 3 separate calls. ALL three calls have been "on hold" calls and no resolution. ABSOLUTELY regret purchasing from this retailer.
Went to get a custom suit for my wedding day and the suit arrived and nothing fit. The quality was very poor as well with huge stitching. It was made in India and was a stock suit and pants with the liner I picked out and a cheaply printed "custom" tag. NOTHING fit. I don't even know why she measured in the store as it was not custom made. I paid $500 for a $150 suit that needed $100 of tailoring. What a scam. To top it off, they never called when it was ready and I have only days to spare before my wedding to see if the tailoring worked. Im concerned I will need to wear an old suit to my wedding. Never ever buy their custom suits.
I went to the Danbury CT store. Service was terrible. They totally messed up the alterations. They blamed everyone except themselves (the temp worker, the outsourced tailor, et etc). My tux looked horrible at my affair. Pay a little more … go to a quality place like Mitchell's.
Do not shop here if you are not a pure bread white male or if you are over 5'7 and 160 lbs because you will be treated like trash. After paying $700 for a suit I was singled out and disrespected form across the store because they were too busy to help someone like me based on how I look. I returned to suit and will not be doing business there again.
2 workers only. Do not even acknowledge you walk into the store. No greeting, no nothing. Unpleasant experience. Took 1 hour to just get fitted for a rental.
Two pairs of the 1905 Jean's I've purchased have split and frayed by the pockets and seams. These Jean's haven't lasted a year! Don't waste your money...
I was getting ready for a wedding that I was to facilitate in just under an hour. Upon taking my tux shirt out of the dry cleaning bag, I discovered I did not have any buttons. Immediately called Jos A Bank in Southlake Town Square and their customer service was amazing. Found the buttons I needed, put them on for me as well as the tie!
Thank you thank you!
Did not have good experience with store in Livonia MI. The store manager was arrogant and did not listen to the honor the initial price.
Lacy at the university drive location in Ft. Worth is amazing! She knows your name and greets you when you enter the store.
I went to JoS Bank in Miamisburg Ohio. I just knew I shouldn't have worn a hoodie. Nobody offered to help me. In there for ten minutes! Two employees standing up front when I got there, looked at me and kept talking. Had a budget of 1500. 00 too bad! The older gentleman that walked in after me got help right away! Disrespectful
Their customer service is really bad. My first (and last) time ordering from them and the order never showed up. Of course FedEx is their carrier. I contacted Jos.A. Bank and first they refunded part of my order rather than send a replacement as they said they would. I contacted them again and reordered and the 2nd order is now being held up with FedEx and the remainder of my first order never reshipped. The worst part of it all was the apathetic attitude I received from Jos A Bank's customer service when I contacted them about the status of my order. Unbelievable.
I ordered 2 pair of Johnston and Murphy Cap Toe Melton dress shoes on a BOGO offer. After 1 month, I called and they said everything was on backorder. 2 months later, they sent me an email canceling the order on one of the shoes because it isn't in stock and saying they are sending the other shoe and charging full price. Both shoes are the same style, just different colors. I would gladly pick another color or get 2 of the same color (I wear them regularly) but wasn't given the opportunity. I have shopped at JAB for over 20 years, but will gladly find another clothier and make sure everyone I know does as well.
I don't usually write reviews. However, because I'm in sales, and critical of "scripted salespeople" I wanted to acknowledge this unexpected professional level of service. I stopped by the Spring Creek Plaza store to browse for a suit for my husband. We are attending a wedding and he needed a new suit. I was greeted and given several suggestions by Tony. Hmm, I thought I'll ask my husband to come talk to Tony. We both came in, finding Tony courteous, professional and full of helpful suggestions. Tony fitted my husband for 2 custom suits. After the final fittings, we were so pleased with the fit and service that my husband took in several old clothing items for alterations. Thanks Tony, you exceeded our expectations.
I have ordered a shoes for my husband on line, I registered and all on their website on Sept 14. It's now Oct. 18 and no shoes. I tried getting on the site but keep telling me that it's wrong password, so I did tried the forget password which says they will email me how to get my password. No email!
So I called for them to help me find out about my order, and they said it has been cancelled because the shoes was not available. I told them that how come I wasn't notified? So, they said because of the trouble they would offer me a coupon. For $25 but you need to buy worth $100!
Does that sound like, you put an order and no they don't have it and no notification, Find out why and right away they would give you that coupon to spend $100 of their product?
WOW!
I love going to Jos A Bank. The salesperson who waited on me every time is Drew. He knows his stock and does a great job fitting suits and matching clothes.
Bought two pairs of shoes online very cheap a month later still haven't gotten the shoes so I reached out to them. They are saying that they had a system issue and they were willing to give me a $25 gift card on the purchase of $125 or more. My whole honor was $19.25. They are saying that they had a systems issue at the doing a search online I found that they have done this multiple times not just with me. They lower you in with cheap prices and then you do not get your owner but they offer you a $25 discount on 125 bucks.
I have ordered a blazer, a suit coat and five pairs of shoes on their website. The only thing I received was numerous emails saying the items were no longer available. To make matters worse I called to check on two of the items spent an hour on the phone was told the two items were released to ship and then I get the emails they are not available. KEEP IN MIND WHEN PURCHASING.
I have purchased JAB clothes for years and up until recently the product and service had been excellent. I just purchased 14 polos and 6 dress shirts. The polos are great. 3 of the 6 dress shirts are the wrong size/fit. How can some not read a size and fit in the collar. Pretty straight forward. This retailer has gone downhill since Men's Warehouse bought them. Time to fine a new clothier.
They accepted a return of an expensive cashmere sweater that I had purchase over a year ago!
It had developed a few small holes in the fabric. I was given a replacement.
Very happy that they stood by their merchandise.
Answer: An agent answered after 4 minutes, but the experience was unsatisfactory.
Answer: Guess what. They saved a buck and squeued you. Banks loves your money, not you.
