I cannot imagine why they even have a website! Reminds me of some schyster, money laundering operation! I ordered a wall mount fireplace and understood the 28 business day shipping policy. I was actually comfortable with that considering this was part of a complete remodel. I had plenty of time. When it went beyond the 28 business day window... we called. We were told that the they did not have the item and they didn't know if it was going to be 2 weeks or 2 months. Hmmm... really? They now show the product on their website at a higher price and wait for it... IN STOCK! They didn't try to get us to pay the higher price so that tells me that NO... they do not have it IN STOCK! While we were on the phone with them, you could hear another sales rep in the background explaining to another phone customer that they did not have their TV in stock either and that they didn't know when it would be in. Imagine that! After you place your order, you have to call the 800 number and verify all of your information. This is weird. Luckily, I haven't been charged for the product but will be watching my account closely. If I get charged $1 I will be pressing fraud charges on them! After reading all the negative reviews, I cannot believe I was naive enough to think my order would be different! FACEPALM!
I won't do business with them again.
I see by reading reviews of this company that my issues are not unique: When I ordered a TV from Joe's, I received an odd e-mail saying I had to call them to confirm my order. No problem, except when I called and asked how long my order would take, I was told "28 business days." I quietly hoped this was a generous estimate they would beat but started to become concerned when about a week passed and there was no change on the order status to "shipped." That's when I phoned and was told the TV was being shipped to Joe's from Japan and there was no chance it would arrive sooner than expected.
OK, I was patient until we got up against the end of the 28 days. It was obvious it still hadn't been shipped to me, so I called again. This time it took three times to get anyone to talk to me -- one time a voicemail went unreturned and another time, a guy took down my info and said he'd get right back to me after he investigated.
Being ignored is bad enough, but eventually I got a rude woman on the phone (again, not unique, based on reviews) who alternately called me a liar, then insulted my intelligence. She said the 28-day thing was for THEM to get the TV, not me, and that it was being held up in customs. She estimated it would take an additional 2 1/2 weeks before I'd get it. Think about that: She obviously thinks it's acceptable, when a customer asks for a delivery estimate, to give the time before the product will arrive in their warehouse.
This was when I first did research into the company and found this to be their pattern. Customers have complained about long waits, of rude reps and of products arriving in unsatisfactory condition. The BBB site refers to bait-and-switch tactics.
After becoming convinced I may never get the TV, I ordered it elsewhere for about the same price -- and it's coming in just a couple of days.
Oh, the ultimate shame: My order says I'm getting "enhanced delivery."
I ordered a TV on January 22nd, It's April 4th and it has not shipped. I've called and emailed several times without any response. Today I finally got rude and got a woman on the phone telling me it was "stuck in customs". I cancelled my order, these people are rude and are running a scam business, DO NOT BUY FROM JOESAV.COM
I ordered online then received an email telling me to call and confirm my order. Once I did I was told that the shipping I paid for was standard and it would take a month because it was coming from Washington state, apparently a lie. Once I paid for expedited shipping that still took two weeks coming from New Jersey, I received a shipping invoice that said, "standard shipping". I definitely don't agree with how they receive their up charges.
I ordered a 65" Samsung tv on 12/11/16 thinking that would be plenty of time to receive it before the superbowl. I was greatly mistaken! I called a couple of times in January to inquire about the status of my order but Earlene and a couple of others could not give me any kind of realistic delivery date whatsoever. I was blown off like I was bothering them by asking where my order was. Over 2 months later, I cancelled my order and will never attempt to do business with this deplorable company ever again! I don't normally complain because to many people just love to complain but this company truly is the worst i've ever dealt with online. Also, don't try to email them because you'll never get a response.
Joe's AV is the most unprofessional Company i ever dealt with. I called on 2/8 to order a 65" TV for an upcoming party the following week. Since i had concerns about making the delivery date, i called Joe's Av to verify that it is doable. I was assured by the sales person, if i Pay additional $160 for expedite shipping, the TV will arrive when needed on 2/16. After explaining one more time how important timely delivery was, and if he has concerns to please tell me, so i can find another option, his response: Dont worry Bro, ill get the TV to you on time. Today is 2/21 and Joe's AV just created the shipping Label for the TV. Means it hasn't even left NJ yet! So glad i payed the additional $160. After calling them to find out what was going on, i was told the sales rep should have never made a promise like that, and its impossible to ship a TV in 7 days and was promised (again) a refund for the $160 expedite shipping. I don't have much faith receiving the refund, but will update if i do.
From day one shady business practices and change calendar days to business days. Shifting responsibility from themselves to shipper and me the customer. Promised $50 refund on 1/31/2017 but yet to receive. Disputed with Bank of America and now they are energized to process the refund. STAY AWAY!
I called to verify that an item listed online as "in stock" was truly available to ship immediately. I was told that it was and immediately hit the order button on my online order at the same time. The next day I received 4 emails asking me to "call and confirm my order". When I called, I was told that although the item was again said to be in stock, it wouldn't ship for 28 days. This is a deceptive business practice and I would not recommend Joe's AV to anyone.
My overall experience was good. The only thing was my order status remained as pending for awhile, but when I sent an Email for an update, I received a very very quick response that was order had been shipped.
I had a warranty concern on an expensive piece of equipment, but it looks like it was taken care of!
Great price, very satisfied. One way shipping never called, so I called them after ten days to schedule the delivery. All well that ends well!
You do read many reviews some are good and some are bad. You keep wondering who are those people who waste their life and write reviews. However, this time I am writing a review for redemption. The thing is that I read those reviews and became paranoid, I doubted the company for the silliest reason that they are offering unbeatable price. Their website is not sophisticated but their customer service are gracious and respond immediately. They are working 6 days a week and more importantly they deliver my perfect UH8500 TV exactly the day they promised. They are up to the task and I do recommend them for TV purchase.
I ordered a TV on Dec. 1 and received confirmation. I sent them an e-mail on Dec. 3, 7, 8 & 9 asking when it would be shipped. I did not get any reply. On Dec. 12 I e-mailed them to cancel order since they would not respond. I would not use this site to order anything.
Pay a couple bucks more elsewhere and don't get involved with these people. "It shipped" "it shipped" "it shipped". Weeks, maybe months later, "it shipped". Still no tracking info though. Ok, shipped from where? Mars? CANCEL ORDER. Still waiting for credit on card, guess that "shipped" too. I'll be starting legalities on that tomorrow. STAY AWAY! Something shady going next with this outfit.
Do not use - they are a classic bait and switch store and you will not get the item you purchased!
I purchased a $1800 samsung television 10/11/16. Got an email confirming the receipt of my online purchase request. I then waited a couple days and called them to make sure the order was being delivered. I spoke to someone who stated that I should get the "white glove" delivery service for an additional $150 and that would allow scheduled delivery within a week. I declined and he said that the delivery would take 28 days because it's coming from seattle.
Well its now 11/22/16 and I haven't heard anything back.
I assume that if I had ordered the white glove then they might have sent it to me but since I didn't that it wasn't worth their time. They advertise low prices, but only deliver if you agree to the up-sell. Bait and switch
I was looking for large screen tv went to a few highly recommended websites and found that Joe's Av provided me with the best deal.
Joe's is the place we go when we want the best prices and knowledgable answers about products we want to buy. We love every product we purchase and are happy to know we always get the best prices at Joe's. I appreciate that Joe's makes purchases so easy, and that every delivery that we have had from Joe's is executed perfectly. I give Joe's the highest recommendations in every respect.
Weber Summit E-670 when everything was all said and done came to be about $250 cheaper than buying it locally and that was shipped with the grill cover. The shipping was a little slower than I expected but still arrived in good shape in a decent time frame. Would buy again.
I had some self induced issues with my order and they were quick to rectify.
Answer: Joe's AV is actually is actually run by the same people who own East Coast TVs in Linden, NJ. If you research East Coast TV's, you'll see they have horrific reviews and really bad customer experiences. Since the company had such a horrible reputation, they registered a new business name with the the state of NJ so they could essentially have a fresh new start. Pretty slick, right? Unfortunately, they deliver on the same awful experience as their previous company name did. Do yourself a favor, stick with the big box stores.
Answer: I was waiting on my order for 3 months and never got it so I called them and cancel my order. These guys don't even have in stock what they show in website. Don't believe them, it's bunch of garbage guys.
Answer: They are fake TV's. Shipped from Asia but for another several hundred dollars they will sell you the real one.

Answer: Because Joe's AV will never send you the TV. They can sell things for whatever price they want. Then when you are sitting there for 2 or 3 months waiting for your TV, you will understand. If you are lucky enough to get these scam artists to send a TV to you at all.
Answer: Too late they filed bankruptcy while ago and closed down both sites (eastcoast completely, joes av half working). Lots of people suppliers, shippers and customers got jacked in that final move. You cant change people like that, except by firing squad.
