Much to be desired
December 6, 2023

Of the 17 positions I have applied for using Jobscan, I have received rejection letters from 14, three are still outstanding. All these positions were positions I would be competitive for based upon my knowledge and experience. While my initial scores were in the mid-30s, my final scores ranged from 67 to a high of 86, the average being about 71. The AI selects irrelevant words that are required for the position but insignificant for the resume itself. In other words, it flags acronyms for associations and credentials required to even apply, not to set yourself apart from the other applicants. Interestingly, I applied for 15 jobs not using Jobscan and I received interviews from 5. I will not be renewing my subscription or recommending to others. Additionally, the example resumes look like they were pulled off the internet. They are definitely not in a format that would catch my attention as an employer.

Mr

Looking for work is and can be painful. Using Jobscan may take some effort but really helps keep hope alive during this transition time.
One thing I wish they would do is scan through all resumes already scanned and choose the one with the best preliminary score for each new job description uploaded. This would save me a ton of time and rework.

The Jobscan tool is great.
December 6, 2023

However, no matter how high my score - I've only gotten 4 interviews in 2 years. Not sure why that is.

Amazing product
November 7, 2023

This product is amazing and the price is really worth it. This tool helps get your resume ready for the ATS scans and has so many other features. One feature I wish it had was when you obtain another interview it didn't overwrite the initial interview details. Otherwise I have recommend this product to many fellow friends who are looking and others who have never heard of the product. Game changer!

Don't waste your money
November 1, 2023

Step 1. Get laid off
Step 2. Eliminate unnecessary personal expenses
Step 3. Start applying to jobs and get recommended jobscan
Step 4. Pay $90 for a *minimum* 3 month plan
Step 5. Get ZERO traction from Jobscan resumes

At this point, I assume this software is a scam. I've built many resumes with Jobscan and absolutely none of them have gotten call backs. The added time and effort that goes into each resume appears to be a waste of time. $90 is also not a negligible amount of money when you just lost your job.

Avoid this, save your money, and just work your network. The prospect of appeasing an ATS seems futile.

Jobscan.co is the first recommendation I give to any friend on the unemployment market. There's a chance I wouldn't have gotten my job right now if it wasn't for Jobscan.co. My employer literally told me, "The reason we selected you for the next round was because of two skill sets you listed on your resume...". The only reason why I highlighted those specific skills from my experience on my resume were because of Jobscan.co. Everyone uses an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) these days and Jobscan.co gives you a better chance to get past it and to get an interview. Their software shows me how to reorganize and rephrase my experience and skill sets in a way that's more attractive to the ATS and increases my chances of hearing back from the employer. The premium package is a minimum and incremental price when it comes to having a much better chance to landing a better fitting gig for you sooner.

I recently used the tool Jobscan to review my resume in comparison to the job description I was applying for. Jobscan gave me suggestions which I used to tweak my resume. I'm happy to report, I received a call for an interview within the same week I posted for the position! Last week I accepted the position and will start my new career assignment in two weeks! I highly recommend using Jobscan to tailor your resume for the job you are seeking. It really worked for me!

The product itself is extremely basic and not worth the $$$. Chat GPT does a much better job and it is FREE. I tried to get my money back one day after use and they refused to give me a refund. I have tried disputing this charge 3 separate times and am considering legal action because I was well within the terms of the refund policy. Please avoid at all costs. Read the experiences on Reddit. There have been several negative instances and people say it isn't even based on the US, so basic review of their resume missed some pretty big mistakes.

I work in SW which for a long time has been an employee's market. But recently things have swung back the other way, and getting that initial resume look or phone screen is not as easy as it used to be. I tried jobscan on recommendation of an article, and right away noticed I got more resume views, and calls. In fact one company I was never able to get a call from finally called the third time I applied, after using jobscan to up my score.

I also tried a professional resume writing service, and jobscan caught some changes made by the service that actually made the resume harder to parse. I don't use LinkedIn, but looks like they even have something that helps with that. I was more than happy to pay for the three months once the trial expired. I think the price was well worth it, and helped me get a needed edge in a flooded market.

Next time I'm looking, will definitely re-subscribe, great service!

Outstanding product!
February 22, 2023

First of all, the product is excellent. I was having a hard time getting interviews, and every single one I submitted after using the tool received a response--either a screening or an invitation to interview. Additionally, they make it easy to cancel once you no longer require their service.

I have spent days on fixing my resume to what the review told me after scanning my resume and the exact job description i was applying for. I even paid for the PowerScan or whatever to make sure I fixed everything to have the best chance of getting the job. DONT EVEN WASTE A SECOND LISTENING TO THE REVIEEWS THEY GIVE YOU. ILL TELL YOU FIRST HAND WHATEVER PERCENTAGE THEY GIVE YOU IS BS!
Like i said i spent days fixing it to their exact specifications. And just to make sure everything was correct i decided to scan it one more time. So there was NO difference between the resume i just fixed that went from.a 32% to 55% and the one Im scanning I just copied and pasted ithe resume and the job same job description was already inputted from the first time i did it. I was so excited and relieved that I was finally done until my score came back as 29% which was lower then when i started this whole thing. Now i havent applied to the job yet since I thought i was going to send it once i made all the corrections and now i have no idea what im going to use on the application and theres nothing i can do to get the time I wasted. I emailed them for a refund and someone to speak with me about this situation so it doesnt happen again to people who are having a hard enough time just making sure they don't get scammed by falling for fake job listings the last thing we need is a company taking our money to supposedly "help" us land a job really just putting us back further then we started. All I hope for is someone reads this and thinks twice before believing this LYING WEBSITE…good luck and hope u have better luck then me

Dumb
February 6, 2023

Example: if in your cv you mentioned you are a consultant, and where you have applied written consultancy, the scanner will not recognize this word in your resume,
Example2: it is very funny this scanner considering coordinating as a hard skill, or team leader, or verbal communications,
Example 3: always shows margin formatting error though it is between 0.5 and 1 inch as recommended them but it will never work, even the resume templates i downloaded from jobscanner has shown always error margin formatting!

It is worthless it to pay this much amount for dumb and useless recommendations! This one of where I spend my money for nothing!
