Okay so this is an online website and even though its alittle scary let me tell you what i did. I went tried on dresses at a dress shop and got my measurements and tried finding one that fits me awesome. I went online to the shop to see if they had a similar one for cheaper. Turns out they did. The dress in the actual shop was close to 600. And this one i got for 200.00 plus shipping. AND! They custom fit it to my size. I got the shipment in about 2 1/2 weeks. And it still looks amazing. If you are on a budget this is defiantly the way to go. They are worldwide.

We ordered this dress a few days before the wedding. I paid extra for the express
Delivery. The dress came about 5 days AFTER the wedding. You can imagine how awful it was for us to arrange for a wedding dress the night before the wedding. The worse part was that this horrible company even didn't recognise the trouble that they put us in. We asked for a custom tailored dress, but they should have informed us that they cannot meet the deadline. They even didn't send us an apology email. I had to write them THREE emails asking for tracking number. They just replied that it is posted, you will receive it and finally they gave me the tracking number.

The dress is fine. Nothing spectacular. It definitely doesn't worth £484.68. It might even not worth £199.36 either. It was not even in a box. You buy a t-shirt it comes in a nice box, properly wrapped. The dress came totally pressed and squeezed in a plastic envelop. I had the flag in my mind when I noticed ONLY five star feedbacks -- will they filter out non-desirable feedback?

My suggestions: (1) give plenty of time, (2) don't be fooled by sales' deadline (there is always some excuse for sale -- we bought this exact dress in the exact discounted price about a month ago), (3) there are plenty of similar companies out there, perhaps you would like to take your chance with another company.

Hopefully your wedding goes much smoother with less tension and stress than ours

Urchased a custom sized wedding dress and it is exactly what I ordered!

After trawling the high street and trying on countless dresses I had got an idea for the style of dress I wanted but I think spending £1000+ on a dress, you wear for one day, is simply disgusting!
So I turned to the internet to help me save some pennies.
I am not against buying things from over seas. Of course there is a big difference between buying a wedding dress and buying paper decorations but I thought it would be worth a try as the savings are incredible.

After watching many reviews online I decided joannedress was the best place to purchase my dress. I saw you could do custom sizing for a mere £16(!) so jumped at the chance. I also bought during a 10% off sale so the total cost for my custom made to fit dress was £160! (Delivery costs included and these were high - £20 or so)

The Dress is perfect! Well perfect for the price. It fits wonderfully and to be honest you couldn't tell it is a "cheap" dress. My only concern is with the lace skirt, it is a little stiff and doesn't look as "flowing" as the picture. We should be able to sort this out with steaming etc. Other than that the dress is exactly as pictured.

From purchase to arrival it took around 3-4 weeks. Just over a week to make the dress and then about 2 weeks for it to get to the UK.

For the £160 I paid, including custom fit I am extremely happy! Thank you Joannedress, keep doing what your doing!

ORDERED LOVELY WEDDING DRESS WHICH HAS FEATHERED DETAILS OFF THE SHOULDERS DRESS. EMAILS SENT TO ME STATING THIS IS AN ADDITIONAL WRAP. WHICH I WILL HAVE TO PAY EXTRA FOR... OH BUT OUT OF STOCK. REQUESTED FULL REFUND AS NOT SOLD AS DESCRIBED... NO CHANCE! SENT THEM PHOTOS AND DESCRIPTION OF DRESS PROVING IT'S ALL ONE DRESS AND NO SEPARATE WRAP... THEY EMAIL BACK TOTAL DISREGARD FOR THEIR DESCRIPTION OF DRESS ON THEIR SITE... STILL SAYING I HAVE TO PAY EXTRA FOR NON EXCISTANT WRAP. DRESS HAS FEATHERED DETAIL ON SHOULDERS THEY REFUSE TO ACKNOWLEDGE THIS. TERRIBLE SERVICE. TAKES DAYS TO GET REPLY, WHICH IS OF NO USE AND COUPLE OF WORDS. I AM SENDING EMAILS AND PHOTOS TO TRADE DESCRIPTION ETC. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY... AND THEY ARE CERTAINLY NOT UK BASED AS DESCRIBED

I was another one of those who read the reviews and thought "Oh no, I've paid a good sum of money for a fake plastic bag dress from a scam website". I ordered a dress for my prom and when it came it was gorgeous (recieved quite a few compliments about it), I was happy with the quailty too. It needed some alterations but other than that, there was no fuss with delivery or anything and I was pleased with the service. Overall would recommend. I can't speak for anyone else but my personal experience with Joanne's dress was a good one.

I ordered my dress, then decided to read the reviews, and i thought, my god what have i done! Nearly all the reviews wasnt so good, but, i thought well its too late now. Well my dress arrived just 10 minutes ago! And hand on heart all i can say is that i am NOT dissapointed, in fact it looks stunning on. Really, really pleased. The only fault it is a bit too long, but, hey, thats not a problem i can shorten it. It was my fault because i did not state the length.it is just like the picture. Also i kept in touch and they always kept me informed via email. So i CAN NOT fault them. I would use them again, because they have a wide range of dresses. I had it made in royal blue, and the colour is stunning also has a little bolero. Its for my golden wedding on the cruise. So i am one happy person. Well done joannes dresses. It took 3 weeks from ordering to delivery.

Please don't buy from here! I'm so angry with myself!

Once I placed my order I was then sent an email
Asking me to confirm the sizes to the exact measurements! I had to measure my 3 bridesmaids so this took a few days and I emailed back to say that it would be done asap!
When I did send over the measurements I was told it was too late and that dresses had been shipped!

Dresses arrived 3 weeks later, suppose surprise, none of them fitted!
I've now been told that dresses are made to order so no refund will be given! I spent nearly £300! And they were not made to order as they were sent before they got measurements! On their site in the returns and refunds section it clearly states that refunds will be given within 7 days!
There's no returns labels?

I'm taking legal action and will be contacting my bank about my money!
Do not buy from these people!

Oh and the dresses had threads all along the waistline that was very noticeable!

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES USE THIS SHOWER!

PLEASE READ IN FULL (EVEN THOUGH IT IS A BIT LONG) TO GIVE YU AN IDEA HOW UNDERHANDED THIS COMPANY IS AND THE DISGRACEFUL WAY THEY CONDUCT BUSINESS AND STEAL YOUR MONEY.

I ordered and UK 18 dress and they sent a dress which had no size label in it whatsoever and there was no invoice or details of where they are based. The dress was way too small and when I questioned it they asked me to measure the dress which I did. The next day they replied and said it was wrongly measured and sent a load of photos of how they wanted the dress measured. I complied and measured by replicating their photos with absolutely NO DIFFERENCE in results from my previous days measurements.

They THEN repeated this exercise 5 times over 5 days still telling me the measurements were wrong. I took the dress to a reputable high street bridal shop and they measured it as I did and conformed it was a UK size 12 and agreed to confirm their findings if these thieves called them. I even took it to a neighbour who is a size 12 and it fitted her perfectly.

I asked for their returns address and a full refund and they are refusing to give me any returns address and still demanding further correct measurements.

They allegedly have a 7 days returns policy, but their continual delay tactics in their non -top demands asking for measurements every day means that they make the 7 days expire so they can claim its gone over the 7 days and therefore steal your money with their disgraceful practices.

The only address they have is a moody address of Harley Street Marylebone London W1G 6AP. So they are obviously an offshore company as they respond to mails at past 2 am British time, are grammatically wrong and the English is abysmally constructed plus the fact that they do not advertise any return address anywhere or send paperwork with their goods or have a phone number which clearly indicates they are out to rip people off.

DO NOT USE THIS TERRIBLE COMPANY OR THEY WILL CON YOU OUT OF YOUR MONEY LIKE THEY HAVE ME!

We are now seeking legal advice

UPDATE... THANKFULLY WE PAID BY CREDIT CARD AND WE HAVE JUST HEARD BARCLAY AGREE WE HAVE A CASE AND ARE GIVING US A FULL REFUND! THANK YOU BARCLAYCARD.

Dont buy from them!

This is an offshore company that sells fake, poor quality dresses!
Very disapointed with how they handle customer complaints! The dresses arrived 3 sizes too small and extremely poor quality that can not be worn. Its a sham as what you see on the website is not what the product looks like. I have tried on several occasions to get my money back as i dnt want their dresses but they have refused to refund me even though their website claims that a refund will be issued should the goods be unsatisfactory. Thieves thieves thieves. I will be reporting them to the financial ombudsman as well as the bank.
Save yourself the hustle and stay well away from buying from them!

This is the first online review I've ever left regarding a shop purchase. I felt compelled by the terrible experience.

Horrible service! I bought the dress after checking the return policy which states '3. We will offer you a full refund within 7 days of delivery If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase.'

The dress was heavier than expected and I purchased it with a few other dresses to try on.

They stated the belowl reasons for not accepting returns including:
- the dress has lace
- the dress was made to order

I kept repeating their return policy back to them and they have not stopped responding to my emails all together.

Do not buy from them!

I have recently purchased a wedding dress from joannesdress, the dress arrived but to my horror the dress wasn't the one I ordered, the skirt was completly different to the one in picture and the cut along the neck line was all wonky and was VERY visible. I contacted customer service ( joke) and sent pictures of the dress and highlighted my concerns while asking for a full refund, this company did NOT acknowledge any of my concerns and stated that I would not get a full refund as I would have to pay for material and labour costs! AVOID this company. I discussed the refund policy and yet again I had no feed back from her re this, she kept stating random things on the emails.

Ordered 4 bridesmaid dresses non fit the sizing is incorrect on their website. Lots of emails back and forth to get a refund. I was told to send back so I paid £17 tracked. They claim they had never received the package even tho I had tracked proof it was signed for! They finally said they would issue a refund and it would take 20-25 days! 2 weeks later the dress arrived repackaged at my home address and they claim they refunded me. I have had no refund what so ever! And now out of pocket. Worst customer service and the emails make no sense that they send. DONT buy from them!
