They make you feel the test is free. When you finished they ask you for payment to see the results. Sneaky bastards.
Stay away!
Wasted time taking a "free" test, only to not be given the results, and instead it requests my credit card number at the end.
BEWARE!

There is no charge for the general score. Your free general score was emailed to the address you entered on the registration page following the test, and it is also available in your account at IQTest.com. To have your score sent again, hover over "Contact us" in the header until you see "Lost Score."
We offer a Complete Personal Intelligence Profile for $14.95, but it is completely optional. It is an extended analysis of your IQ in thirteen categories.
After spending 15 minutes taking the test I was extremely p*ssed off when it said "only 14.99 to see results". I mean it DID say free. I came here to see if other people had the same problem and after looking in my inbox and not seeing it, I found it in my spam folder. I don't believe it's accurate because mine was 145 and everyone in here keeps saying they got around the same score. That's extremely high and it is rare to have an iq that high so I don't believe it's accurate. They tell you what you want to hear so you'll buy their "full package" to read more about how "smart" you are.
Cayla--
Actually, we don't inflate scores. But we offer the test as entertainment because we cannot control the test environment. People who know their IQs from the Stanford-Binet or the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale often tell us that they scored within a few points of those previous scores when they took our test, but very few of them have scored as high as 145.
Seemed like reasonable questions, good test... As mentioned in other reviews, cannot take the place of a proper psychoeducational test. Results emailed immediately for no cost. Additional charge is only for in-depth breakdown of scores. Fun and free on a lark!
The individuals who wrote that they had been scammed should have first checked their e mails. Test results are sent, and there is no fee. They probably realized they were mistaken, but were too lazy to go back and fix their negative reviews, thus affecting the overall rating. I imagine these individuals were not happy with their IQ scores.
Why would you make a person go through the whole thing and then ask for money? There are so much more reliable IQ tests online. Would never recommend this one.
The test at IQTest.com is free. Your free score is available in your account dashboard and was also emailed to the address you entered on the registration page following the test. If you would like your score to be emailed again, hover over "Contact us" in the header and then select "Lost score."
Enter your email address and your free general IQ score will be sent again.
If you want an IQ test, go to a real psychologist with years of training and the proper tools to accurately measure your IQ. Online tests are unreliable and invalid. Of course, never pay an online company for anything. Again, see a PROFESSIONAL.
I've heard from several places that tests like these aren't that reliable. So I say avoid it.
The team of psychologists who created the test at IQTest.com were given the task of developing a valid, reliable, and fun test that could be taken online. This was a new thing in 1994 when the test first went online.
Not just any test can be taken online. Most of the tests found online today do not give valid IQ scores. We recommend that you don't definitively judge your intelligence by your score on any online test, even ours.
The most recent versions of the Stanford-Binet and the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale have the same standard deviation as our test, i. E., 15, and will produce scores that can be compared to the scores received on our test.
We offer the test as entertainment because we cannot control the test environment, but many people who know their scores from either the Stanford-Binet or the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale tell us that they scored within a few points of their previous scores when they took our test.
I mean, I thought the test was pretty conclusive. Made me FEEL smart with an iq of 135, although I'm not sure how accurate that was. Reading a specific previous post led me to believe it was reliable, but who knows?
No, you don't have to pay the $ for the results, they sent it directly to my email. When the "Pay $ for extensive results" popped up, I just looked online to see if there was a way around it. Turns out, they send your score anyway, & that was just to delve a little deeper on your results, aka squeeze a penny or two out of you.
It's good. Take the test!
The site is okay, it emails the results to you. It is a bit misleading though as it makes it look like you have to pay to see them. The results do get sent to your email though as it states. Check your spam if you can't find it.
No idea how accurate the results are though, the test seems pretty basic. It's probably okay for a vague idea but don't take it too seriously.
The site could definitely benefit from a more thorough test and clearer pricing terms.
I did the test and thought they'd conned me. In fact, the result had been emailed to my inbox. I do not know how accurate is the result.
The score is free. You pay for an in - depth analysis. The score is sent to your email, immediately!
I wish there were zero stars. What a rippoff. Dishonest. Not reputible. Do not waste your time.
Ok, people keep talking about all this "oh no don't use this site because money! Scam!" The site asks for your money for an in-depth evaluation. You get your test score via email.
Also, I can't guarantee the validity, it seems more of something to make you think... It's mainly math, but I've never taken a real IQ test before.
Wow, so many people claiming this site doesn't give you your results for free.
It's hilariously sad. But, at least they'll all be safe in the event of a "zombie apocalypse". Lol!
After you complete the test, you have to provide the site with an email address for it to send you your results. After you enter your email, check your email. If you still can't find your results, check your spam/junk folder.
As for the accuracy of this test, I think the site's meant more for entertainment purposes and not actually a reliable source for such information.
I scored 135. I'll admit I'm happy with my result but, I doubt I'm really that smart.
Though, it's nice to think I might be. Lol.
The only problem I have with this site is that it had way too few questions. Easy questions for that matter. So, I don't believe it could accurately estimate your IQ.
The people that gave this site one star must have terribly low IQs. Sorry for telling the truth. The site does give you your score by email. Not to sure how accurate it is because my score was so high. I'm a freaking genius. So it says...
Well I didn't pay to see the details for my score cause I thought I was unfair, but recently they emailed me and told me that there's a half price ($5) promotion to get my detailed results, so I did pay them. However, I am worried about the reliability and validity of the test? Does anyone know if I can safely trust their analysis and results?
If you were to check your email you would find out that they give you your score... They are only trying to get money for a more in depth analysis of your test.
This site DOES return the result of your test. However on completion of the test, whether because of ambiguity or poor design, (don't make me think) I got the idea I would only get a result if I spent the $10. However the $10 spend will give a deeper analysis of the test and identify strengths and weaknesses. If the site owners could just be clearer on how the results are returned then it will make for a better experience.
Absolutely terrible. Wasted 20 minutes taking the test, then they say you have to pay for the results.
Your free score is available in your account dashboard and was also sent to the email address you entered on the registration page following the test.
To have your score sent again, hover over "Contact us" in the header and then select "Lost score."
Enter your email address and your score will be resent.
We offer a detailed analysis of your score for $14.95, but it is entirely optional.
There is no charge for the general IQ.
Answer: If you look at the chart explaining scores in the FAQ at IQTest.com (How well did I do? What does my score mean?) you'll see how the scores are distributed and how your score compares with scores of others. IQ tests are designed so that the average score will be 100. The highest score you can achieve on our test is 156. A score of 99 would be almost exactly average. Our test was designed for native English speakers. If you do not speak English very well, your score will be lower than it would be if you took a test in your native language. If you are under the age of 16, you'll get a more valid score on a test designed for children your age. Age is not factored into the scoring of our test, but it is an important factor in tests for those under 16. Adult IQ scores usually remain constant over a lifetime. Common sense would tell us that if a child scores well on an adult test, then his IQ score would probably be even higher on a test designed for children his age. But we have done the research only on adults, so we can't say for sure that our test produces valid scores for those under 16.

Answer: Hi Lynette, Call the number on the back of your credit card and tell them that you were charged without your permission. They can cancel the charge.
Answer: Maria-- I think you have taken a test at a different website, IQTESTNOW.ORG. You are lucky that this site did not accept your credit card. Your description of your experience in the review you wrote leads me to believe that you were almost a victim of their scam, which involves making additional charges of $39 or more to your card after the initial small charge of $1.95. Please review IQtestnow.org instead of IQTest.com.
Answer: Hi Marvie, The charge of $69 is not from IQTest.com. We do not ever employ collection agencies. I think you should check out IQTESTNOW.ORG, as they are well known for their fraudulent charges. If you would like to discuss this further, you can reach me at [email protected]. A charge from IQTest.com would show on your credit card or PayPal statement as a charge from Autumn Group/IQTest.com.
Answer: The BMI test is not affiliated in any way with IQTest.com. If you have questions about the test at BMI, you should direct your questions to the BMI website.
