They took money like they said on the first of the month and that my product will be delivered sometimes in the middle of the month. Which it did. I love trying new things as for I'm a makeup fanatic. I like my glam bag this month and looking forward to receiving more products. Thank you Ipsy!:-)
I joined Ipsy in November of last year and have had no problems! I always receive my package, they charge on the first just as they said they would, and I have not received damaged items. People complain about the items they get, but I like that I get new things that I haven't tried or wouldn't think to try! Why join if you're gonna complain about getting samples when you know you are gonna get RANDOM samples?!?! But I enjoy it and I recommend it!
I signed up for this bag because I'm somewhat new to the makeup scene. I only wear a little mascara and eyeliner for work and I always apply it the same way, for the last 4-5 years. It's just too expensive to try out products at full price so I thought a $10 bag would be nice to sample products with. That only works if you can use the products you get and if they're something you were already interested in trying. I got a sneak peek at what's coming and it's blow dry cream (what even is that? I air dry my hair), hydrating primer (nice but the bag didn't come with any foundation so that's useless this month), blush (again useless without any foundation as I'm very fair skinned and the blush is very dark), and the most confounding to me is "eyebrow gel mascara." I don't know of any youtube beauty gurus who even use that, and I certainly don't need it with my black eyebrows. The only thing I might consider using is the loose powder foundation brush. I don't think I'll continue though because this month, all the possible items i could have gotten, I LOVED. And 4 of the items i got were the ones I was praying I wouldn't get because I have no use for them. And of course I got them. The quiz you take before ordering is a joke because they clearly don't follow it. They also add you to a "waiting list" the first time you sign up and want you to spam your friends on social media before taking you off early. I said screw that noise and emailed them demanding them to take me off the list and cancel my order. Instead, they took me off the waiting list and charged me for my order early. In one ear and out the other I guess. Well after this disappointment I definitely won't be continuing my next order.
I attempted to cancel my subscription after being placed on the wait list. Prior to entering your payment information, there is nothing about a wait list on any of their pages. Cancelling is easier said than done. There is no phone number for ipsy, nor can you just email them. You can only send them a form through their own contact page, which is sketchy. I received no reply from them to my cancellation request, and 2 weeks later they charged my card. I attempted contact again and received no reply after 3 days. So, I contacted the BBB and received a reply that day. They said they would refund me in "5-7" business days. It has been 8 and they have not refunded me, I have nothing pending at my bank from them, and they are again not answering me.
They deduct payment but neglect to ship product. Have emailed to cancel subscription but they still haven't.
Signed up in good faith. Ipsy was more then happy to take my payment out of my account on 01/28/2016. It stands as of now, I still have not received my February Ipsy bag. Today is 02/22/2016. They email response to me with a tracking on 02/15. I guess this should teach me to not order on-line...
I used to look forward to my Ipsy packages when I first signed up. After about a year, I found that I had more products in my don't use drawer. The problem... they don't provide enough for African American women and especially those with dark skin. So, I gave it up. On the fair side, I did get some products that coerced me into buying larger sized products (. E.g. Nars). However, when I look back at the amount of money I spent on samples, it wasn't worth it.
My real problem is that I've not had a subscription in a year and they're still sending me emails. I always unsubscribe, only to get another email asking me to rejoin. You can NEVER get away from them. Be cognizant of this BEFORE you sign up.
I received my February 2016 bag and it was almost empty - only a few products. I went onto Youtube to see other reviews for February 2016, and saw that some subscribers received more and better quality of products than I did. I'll give them one more month and if they don't improve I'm cancelling and they better not continue charging my card either.
I've been an ipsy subscriber for about five months now and I'm a fan. Yes shipping sometimes takes awhile but it's well worth it. The only complaint I have is that they don't take the personal quiz into consideration because since day one I have noted not to receive eye shadow but I receive one in every bad. Other than that, the rest of the products are cute and some are name brand. People complain the products are too small... HELLO they are samples! And for only $10 a month, why not give it a try? Although, I would not recommend for actual make up artists. I think this bag is for people who are experimenting with make up. It's fun and cheap!
I canceled my account months ago and last month I start receiving their glam bag. Turns out they reactived my account without my permission. And is now giving me a hard time getting my money back. There is no way to get my credit card info off their site nor can you delete your account. This is a horrible company. Birchbox is sooooo much better!
They have sent me a brow pencil, perfume, and blush. All of which I specifically asked NOT to receive. Maybe the beauty consultants should put more effort into reading the profiles of customers. Isn't the point to get us to like the products and potentially buy them? Maybe I misunderstood.
So I saw this bag on YouTube and Instagram and online and I really wanted one so I asked my mom if she would let me get this bag. (I'm 13) First of all the little quiz that you have to do takes FOREVER, then you have to make an account which isn't that bad but with your mom sitting there it isn't as easy. So my mom Pou her bank info in and they said I was on a waiting list. I was never told about a waiting list, it said that I would get my bag within 15 days. It has been almost 2 months and I'm still on a waiting list. I check our mail box everyday in the freezing cold and nothing. Not to mention in Canada this bag costs $21 instead of $10. Not very impressed with this bag so far, maybe if I had it I could change my mind but right now I'm not very sold. It was a scam and a waste of money said my mom.
After singing up with ipsy I was curious to see how it would workout for me so I looked at some reviews. A lot of the results ended up being very hit or miss. I'm nowhere close to a makeup expert so getting new surprised in the mail every month is exciting for me. There are a lot of negative reviews about ipsy but for $10 you get to sample a variety of products that would cost you much more than what ipsy charges you. Unless you are a makeup pro and are looking to sample specific colors and products then I don't suggest you sign up, but if you're looking to expand your knowledge about make up and are open to many different products it's worth a shot for just $10 a month.
I tried to be patient with Ipsy but today I cancelled my subscription! IT IS A WASTE OF $10! Filling out the personalized quiz is a waste of damn time because the bags I received were NEVER personalized! I am an African-American/Dominican woman with BLACK HAIR and I receive light brown and blonde eyebrow pencils! Like wtf?! And the lip colors are never vibrant, matte, or adventurous! Bland, stale colors that you can just gift to your grandmother. WARNING: DO NOT SUBSCRIBE TO IPSY!
I got 4 bags total. The only reason I un-subscribed is because I'm in supply with the products! Customer care responded quickly when I wanted to cancel. I always received my bags on time with a mixture of items varying from face creams, scrubs, eye shadow, lipstick/lipgloss, brush, perfume, nail polish, etc. If you use make-up often, this will be fun for you and is worth the $10. I don't understand why many people are putting IPSY on BLAST. If you want better quality products, then shop for them somewhere else. Don't expect that Smashbox will be in your bag every month. Overall, it's worth trying! :)
I started with an ipsy subscription thinking it would be a great way to try out some different brands/colors from what I have been wearing. When you first start, ipsy asks you to fill out a questionnaire so they know which types of products you are interested in and supposedly send you only those items. I filled mine out that I was interested in lip color, eye color and nail colors, that I was NOT interested in creams, lotions, shadow brushes etc. I've had the subscription for nearly 8 months and it seems that all I ever get are creams, lotions and shadow brushes. The smallest sample sizes possible. Save your $10 each month to go towards something you can try from your local drug store!
It took forever to cancel my subscription. They make u go thru hoops to cancel then if u don't respond to their email u GET CHARGED AGAIN AND SENT ANOTHER BAG. The products r cheap and smell bad. Their system of cancelling too is very shifty. U have to tap cancel again and again bc it won't register.
The phone # is fraudulent and I recieved my first bag no problem. But, when they went to take the $10 out today my bank blocked it. Emailed me and is saying its a fraudulent acct
A friend of mine told me about Ispy and I instantly wanted the goodies for myself too. I love trying new products but hate spending way too much for something that in the end I may never use again. So this to me was perfect!
I started the sign up process on their site, answered the beauty questionaire, and just as I was about to give my credit card info I thought to myself... I better take a look at some reviews. Was I ever glad I did! Thank you all that posted and saved me the hassle! Sounds like it might be ok here and there, but with poor customer service and too many hits and misses... its just not worth my time. Thank you but I'll keep my 10 bucks!
I've emailed Ipsy customer service 3 times with no response back from them. I've been trying to cancel for the past 2 months and finally cancelled successfully and received the email confirmation. But I'm still being charged monthly fee! Ipsy has been a nightmare, worst, worst customer service ever! I want it CANCELLED!

Answer: OK well it depends where you live because here in Canada it is $20ish dollars but if you live in the U.S. A then ya it's worth it. The products are really high quality and I havent had any bad products yet. But for me to live in Canada and pay almost $20 dollars, it's kind of pricey. So it really depends on you, where you live and your preferences. Hope this helped

Answer: Rosi, I have been a subscriber for several months. They send samples of many different brands but not Lime Crime. Here are some of the brands: City Color, trestique, NYX, Luxie brushes, Pacifica, star looks, Bella Pierre, Dermelect, be a bombshell, dls, hey honey, Marc Anthony, Eva nyc, MOR hand creme, Clarks botanicals, Avance, epice, belif creme, REN creme, and peek, and Trust Fund. During the ten months I have been a subscriber, I have only received a handful of high end makeup samples: the Balm, tarte, and smashbox. Some people love ipsy, but my experience has shown me that a lot of times they send me products that I don't like or ones that don't match my "beauty profile". So I will probably cancel soon. The products are not counterfeit, though. If I were you, I would not subscribe to ipsy. Hope that helps! -Heather
