Mortified
January 30, 2017

I posted this on Ipsy's Facebook 5 days ago and no response
I posted on your Facebook as I'm still getting no response. I posted this last Thursday.:
Yesterday my whole personal email contact list got over 300 emails each from you saying I was referring them. I had no way to contact anyone- I emailed 3 times with no reply. People were getting these on their work computer as I did too. I don't know what happened but I wonder more why no one will get back to me

Hi Kim,
So sorry to hear that your contact list was unintentionally messaged. This bug was flagged last week, and our engineering team is working on a fix. In the meantime, the "Invite All" button on the referral email page has been disabled. Please accept our sincerest apologies. If you haven't received a response from ipsyCare yet, you will shortly. We answer all emails we receive!

Not bad for what it is
January 30, 2017

I have had Ipsy for over a year. Its gotten better with every bag. I pretty much like everything I get. At least 95% of the time. I do the reviews every month so I continue to get items I like. Only thing kinda going down hill are the points and selection of the items for redeeming points seem to run out way to fast now but other than that (that's why I have 4 out of 5 stars)... Its not that bad. I don't mind some stiff being small. I do get one or two full sized products each month. You get discounts on brands each month, they offer lots of giveaways each month... I don't plan to cancel any time soon. I have dealt with their customer service and I didn't have any issues. They answered all my questions and replaced my missing glam bag when it got lost in the mail. No questions asked. I'm still pretty happy with Ipsy and will continue to be a customer.

Basically a scam
January 20, 2017

I enjoyed ipsy for about a year before deciding to cancel. My problems occurred when trying to cancel. In order to confirm cancelling my order the site kept telling me I needed to confirm an e-mail, which they never sent.
Customer service is a joke, I couldn't find a phone number so I had to resort to their Facebook page (I let them no I have checked all folders and no email from ipsy and was unable to cancel). Over a week later a representative got back to me and her advice was to "check my junk folder". This process was so long they had already billed and sent me a box that I didn't want.
Their customer service just kept telling me they would resend the e-mail and never did (They had the right e-mail stated on my log in page and account settings, their was no reason it wouldn't send). I ended up having to cancel my bank card and be frozen out of my account for 9 days until a new card arrived. HORRIBLE SERVICE don't waste your time or money only to get locked into this service scam.

Hi Claudia, apologies for the trouble with cancellation! As you know, cancellation is a two-step process. Step one is to confirm from ipsy.com, and step two is to click the link that is sent via email.

The confirmation email is sent automatically, so if the email address was correct, and your spam folder was empty, we're unsure what happened. Per policy, our representatives can cancel your account for you, so make sure that the process is completed. Our FAQ and contact page is found at help.ipsy.com, and our direct support email address is [email protected]. We also provide support on our social channels, like Facebook and Twitter.

Please contact ipsyCare to verify your account cancellation! Some banks participate in an "account updater" feature that securely shares your new card information to companies that you authorized recurring purchases on. We want to make sure you don't see any future charges from ipsy.

Terrible.
January 13, 2017

Reading some of these reviews it blows my mind that people obviously dont understand the whole point of ipsy. You get SMALL TRIALS. That's what Ipsy does... Send TRIALS(which happen to be TRIAL size...) So those of you who are dissapointed about the amounts you are receiving need to research what Ipsy actually is.

That doesn't change the fact that they have terrible customer service. My shipping date is constantly changing. I got a tracking number and when I tried tracking it, USPS tells me the tracking number I was provided isn't correct. When I email customer service about it, they obviously didn't read the message and proceeded to provide me with the same tracking info. Then they tell me it should arrive by the end of the month even though originally it was supposed to come on the 11th.
They have you fill out a profile... But for what? I say that I hate liquid eyeliner... So they send me liquid eyeliner every month?
My family and friends spoke so highly about ipsy so I am extremely disappointed with the products and especially their customer service.

Hi Beth, I'm so sorry to hear you've had a negative experience with ipsyCare. If you are still having trouble with your package, please send another email and request a manager so we can help. In the meantime, I'd be happy to clarify shipping and product selection.

When we hand your package off to our shipping partners, we don't have control over how long your Glam Bag is in transit or final delivery. The estimated delivery date provided by USPS or FedEx is just an estimate, and can change over time, especially this time of year when weather conditions are poor. We stand by the quality of service of our shipping partners, and always offer a free replacement if your Glam Bag doesn't make it to you. Also, if it's been over 14 business days in transit, we offer a free replacement as well.

Apologies that you're receiving too many eyeliners! We have an exciting new feature that ipsyCare can help set up for you to make sure our system strives to omit eyeliners. Please contact ipsyCare to request this, and one of our representatives will be happy to assist.

I'm so annoyed that I had to make an account to write a review. I initially signed up for this in october. It was too late to get the october bag so they sent me the november bag. I liked one out of 5 items, but then the december bag came and I didn't like any of the items. So I immediately cancelled. I even checked my account status to see if it's actually cancelled and it said "unsubscribed" under my name. However, they charged me on january for a new bag even though I was unsubscribed. I checked back and saw that my account was subscribed again. I went ahead and unsubscribed for the second time and went through the same process for cancellation. Let's just hope that they stop charging me

Hi Vivian. Apologies for the trouble! Once your cancellation is confirmed, there is no way for our system to automatically put you back to an active status. While I'm unable to look up your account without your email address and name, it seems like the cancellation wasn't finalized, or was finalized after the 1st of the month. All cancellation requests must be made before the 1st to be effective for that month. If you want to ensure your cancellation is all set, please contact our customer service team! They can look into your account and make sure you are cancelled. [email protected]

I subscribed because a friend recommended it to me and told me how great it was, well after 3 months of having a subscription I never have received any products or any glam bags but have gotten billed every month so far. I wish I had never signed up for this. Worst Idea I Have EVER had.

Hi BreeAnna. Oh no! If you paid for 3 months of Glam Bags, all 3 Glam Bags would have been shipped to the address on file with your account. It's possible that your address is incorrect, or your packages were undeliverable by USPS or FedEx. Please email ipsyCare so we can verify your address and send free replacements!

Let me start with I never confirmed my first subscription. I opened a new window and started reading the reviews. I decided it wasn't for me and closed the window before completing so j thought. Anyhow I later received an email saying it should arrive soon. I thought what the hell got excited and waited for it to arrive. I gave up on it and forgot by the time it finally did. Which was the 27th. What a wait and for what eyeliner that disappeared right after applying it I think right into my eyeball. Although I must say it wasn't black all over my face. Oil I was excited about even though it says to try for thirty days to see the difference. The bottle was tiny might last four if I stretch especially means u can try on hair dry skin and wrinkles. Not sure where to start. I don't have my bag beside me as I write this review so I couldn't tell you what the other items were which is to show how impressed I am about them. As for canceling I hope I did right everybody needs to keep their profile open after canceling. Which it says. It will say active status. Open separate email go to site ipsy s email says open confirm and than pull up you profile again on ipsy refresh and it should say status not active. That is when you know you did it right. I will be putting a stop to all charges hereafter. I canceled last night. 12-28-16 now if I am billed I than know what these others are saying is true. If not they should probably go back through the steps carefully.

Horrible
December 21, 2016

I recently emailed customer support at ipsy because my eyeshadow came broken. The representative didn't bother to read the email correctly or she must've not paid attention to it or the photos I sent. She replied stating she would send me a new one and that this would be a " one time only " type of deal. Why would she write that as if my request was some type of special request? I looked at their guidelines and it says they will replace broken items. I asked her to give my email to a manager, that was almost 5 days ago and she never bothered to reply to me. I am highly disappointed in their customer service and the sad part is there is no way for me to talk to a live person.

Hi Yolanda. I was able to find your email case, and I'd be happy to explain! When you're checking out your online Glam Bag, you'll see your products for the month, but not necessarily in the exact shades we chose for you. Your Glam Bag goodies are customized based on shade, but you won't know the specific color of your items until you receive them–that's part of the surprise!

Since you requested a different shade as a replacement, we let you know that we're happy to do so, it's just considered your "one-time alternate product request." I hope that makes sense!

It looks like your replacement order was placed, and you'll be receiving a new shadow soon. Again, we're so sorry for the confusion. Hope you love your NYX Eyeshadow!

1 star because I had to click something. I never ordered your products. However you obtained my debit card number is illegal. I thought I had this resolved 4 months ago, but you are still charging my checking/debit account. Such shoddy business practices. You won't answer a phone call and are VERY slow to answer email. I don't see how this company is something to be proud of.

All charges were refunded to you! We recommend contacting your bank to get a replacement card so any future fraudulent charges are prevented!

BAD COMPANY
December 16, 2016

They obviously do not read your profiles. I didn't get anything that matched my profile. The products I did receive were super small and poor quality. The only reason I gave it a one star was because the only thing I semi enjoyed was the bag it came in. The packages always late too. I've tried to cancel several times but they keep taking money out without my permission and I haven't received anything I can return back. I will have to close my bank account in order to stop the auto withdrawals. I hope this company goes under. Lol. As a matter of fact. 8 think I will just start my own, then they will be out of business. Bye Felicia.

I really like Ipsy. Sometimes I get products I'm not super excited about, but I've yet to get anything I never use. The samples aren't huge, but they're samples! I usually look up the prices of the items I receive and I've never felt that it wasn't worth my money. The bags themselves aren't usually my favorite designs, but I just give them to my younger cousins or use them for tampons or something. My August glam bag got lost in the mail and I just barely emailed them about it. They're sending me something (even though it's way past the 45-day limit) to make up for it and they're sending me an eyeliner to replace one that broke on the way for this month (first product ever to break from them). They got back to me within hours and were very nice through email. I think it's a really good subscription service, and hopefully, they maintain that quality. I'm very happy with them and would recommend any makeup loving person, young or old, to try it out. I don't have kids, but if I had a preteen or young teenager I would even probably get it for them so they could start playing and learning about beauty products with good quality stuff that will treat their body well.

I love Ipsy
December 9, 2016

I have been receiving the monthly glam bags fro Ipsy for about a year now. I love it. Between myself and my daughter; we can use the products that come. Even when we can't - I gift them to co-workers and then get asked how they can get the glam bags. Which helps me out as I get reward points. Granted; there have been a few times I have gotten things that made me go "huh?". But -- overall - love it! Just signed my daughter up to get her own each month! And any issues I have had; the customer service team has been great! Xo

DO NOT SUSCRIBE
December 1, 2016

Horrible service and basically no way to contact them. Kept billing me without notice and wouldn't answer any of my emails. So angry and disappointed with this company I have no idea what to do. I suscribed for a year but I decided to cancel because I didn't need anymore random products and things started to get pretty repetitive. They bill me again for the next year, $118 with out any notice and will not refund me. Wth am I supposed to do with another years worth of random nail polish and lotion? Horrible service and they do not care about their customers at all

Not recommended
November 30, 2016

I personally had ipsy for two months. Now, a lot of you probably think that isn't long enough to write a review. Well, when I got my first bag, I was ecstatic! I opened my bag and was immediately disappointed. The product sizes are WAY too small! The blush that came, I loved loved love it, but the sample was smaller than a penny. It was so hard to use! Then my next month came, and i got the exact same items, except for one, but just different brands and colors. I'm not paying this company to send me repetitive items over again. Also, my too-faced mascara came, which I was stoked about, completely dry. It does not work even a little bit.
Now, I'm not here to bash on ipsy because it is a good company, with an extremely fair price, just not for me. I was dissatisfied by what I was receiving, and probably will not be going back.

I canceled my subscription on August11th of 2016. In October I contacted the ipsy help desk because I was still being charged. The email from ipsy confirmed my cancel date and recognized that boxes sent from that time were marked return to sender. They informed me that even though they were aware of my cancellation their policy is no refunds. I explained in my email that after August 11 they were no longer authorized to remove money from my account. They continued to vomit fraud by doing so. My question is... how many of you have canceled your subscription and they continued to take 10.00 out a month. I know I'm not the only one. This company has fraudulent practices and we need to take a stand against it. Please email me at *******@gmail.com. I am contacting a lawyer to begin a class action law suit against fraudulent credit card practices.

Not like it use to be
November 16, 2016

I've subscribed faithfully for over a year but all of a sudden earlier this year I was disappointed month after month... the personalization survey means absolutely nothing to them. I've received nail polish 4 out of 6 months and specifically stated no nail products I do love the idea of mini samples before splurging and the $10 is a bargain but if I repeatedly receive items that are useless to me then it kind of defeats the purpose. I paid for the year so I'll finish it out but I already signed up for birchbox which is the same price and you receive another box free for signing up. Such ashame I use to brag and refer to all my girlfriends about the items and brand name products I got but now it's low end items.

So if you don't mind receiving random items that you may or may not like then be my guest.

I would like to give Ipsy an AMAZING customer service review! They are soo understanding! In the last 3 months I've been having trouble with my mail receiving it through the USPS. I missed out 3 months of Ipsy and I reach out to tell them what was going on with my mail. They understood. Ipsy sent me out 3 months of what i missed out due to USPS messing up my mail. That was soo nice of them and I really do appreciate it! Thank you!

Be aware
November 7, 2016

Ipsy will not let you cancel the first time you try. I tried cancelling my subscription after the 2nd month because I don't think sample size products are worth $120 a year when you can get good quality samples for free at Sephora. Anyway, my cancellation did not go through and they charged me for a 3rd month and never sent me a "glam bag". I was able to cancel after they charge me, which was very frustrating to say the least. This company scams people. The profile they supposedly create for you is a waste of time because you won't receive what you select.

BTW, no one should pay money to try products before buying. Anybody can go to Sephora and try any product without obligation to buy. And if you do buy the product and decide it's not for you, Sephora will refund your money no questions asked.

Hi L M. We're so sorry to hear that your cancellation wasn't finalized. Per policy, you can cancel your subscription at any time, without any penalty. However your cancellation needs to be confirmed before 12 PM PT on the last day of the month to apply for that following month. If you're unsure if the cancellation process was completed successfully, your account status is always listed on your "Subscriptions and Purchases" page.

We'd like to look into this issue for you, and send you a replacement Glam Bag if you paid for an order that you didn't receive. Please send us an email at [email protected] so we can help!
