I was in the process of trying to sign up to the site. Before I could even get through the questions or anything, this showed up:

I believe this dating site is linked with some other international and interracial dating sites including afroromance.com. It making me want to start using some non American dating sites.

This site is full of scammers. Especially scammers from Nigeria, Kenya and ghana. But what I'm also finding out is there's a man for Nigeria that post profiles of beautiful women. He tries to lure you in and try to scam you. Everytime I go online I get at least 5 to 10 messages within a minute or two from women especially from Ghana that will immediately give out their Hangout WhatsApp and Skype ID's. These people are completely relentless they will sit there and wait for people to come online without reading your profile and they will send you a message immediately. Just ignore the messages. I'm not a bigot or racist whatsoever what I don't like are scammers that try to scam people of little or no means. You have to be very careful and who you correspond with on this site best thing to do if you do become interested is to Skype with the person and to make sure that they're real and you're not just watching her pre-recorded tape ask them either to stand up or wave. Once you're on this site for a while you'll know as soon as you open up a message whether it's a scam or not. If you get a message from the Ukraine with a picture of a beautiful woman you can rest assured that it's this Nigerian man hiding behind this profile waiting for you to stirred corresponding. Then they will exchange e-mails back and forth until they know they know they have you hooked which could go on for weeks or months and then all of a sudden you will get an email with some kind of sob story about either they got into an accident or their mother is really sick and they need you to send them money. All I can say is DON'T BITE! From a lot of people that I've talked to on the site a lot of people have bitten and lost a lot of money and once you wire the funds you will never hear from them again. Be very careful on this site. I'm not saying that everybody on here is a scammer there are some good people but take your time and recognize what's going on with the site. Most people give this site one star I gave it two Stars because not everyone on here is a scammer but there are a lot and you need to be very careful. Don't fall for the tricks of a scammer they're very good at what they do.

I sign up yesterday and site had a problem with adding photos when I enter to add photos later as it asked I was deactivated and it is already second time like this. I try to sign up already 2 times this week and I even added my document to site to they see I am real person but it didn't help. Looks like all reports which people write are correct and they don't want to have real clients, good I didn't pay it yesterday, wanted to do it today. It would be big waist of money.

This is a review of Cupid sites in general and International Cupid in particular. I have used International Cupid, Dominican Cupid, Latin American Cupid. I still have a complimentary membership on Interracial Cupid. I don't not think the sites themselves are a scam because I have actually met women on some of these sites. So far there have never been issues with my card or membership. I only sign up for one month at a time.
First my rule is if you can not video chat, then I'm not going to waste too much time talking because I can not see who I am talking to. Second, I am not sending any money to any one. Most of the responses on International Cupid come from Ukraine, Ghana, The Philippines and Thailand. Many of them may not have cameras on their phones, ( or so they say) so you can't really see who you are talking to.
Most have no passports or visas because they may be poor and because the U.S. makes it a pain in the $#*! to enter the country unless you are from a European contry and maybe one or two Latin American countries, so you will be doing a lot of long distance flying trying to find some one. Then you can not be sure that they are not in it just for the money. I have had experiences where I have developed actual relationships with women who eventually Even if youmeet some one and get a K-1 visa and they come to the U. S you will have to get married in 3 months which to me is not musch time to really get to know some one. Bottom line is that it's an expensive gamble unless you're just looking for potential fun in a far off place

I am quite aware of scammers and really think i know how to spot them. But there are highly organized teams of scammers on this site. Girls individually gathering information on you. You might give one bit of information to one girl and another bit of information to another girl. That team will then put all that information together on you. They will then begin the scam. They will want your email address or skype or whatsapp, your real name. What you work at and were you live. You will think you are getting on well with this person. They will video call you and send you pictures. They will make you think that you are getting on really well with them. They might offer to send you a present, they will then get your address. Through your facebook they will get your family information. Brothers, sisters, parents etc... If you send them any provocative pictures they might hold you to ransom by sending those pictures to your job (linkedin) or facebook. You might get caught up in a situation where the boyfriend is beating the girl as he found your texts a very popular scam. I only used the website for 3 days. I blocked about 200 scammers yet 3 scammers got through but managed to catch them before the scam could start. All 3 were from Brazil. I was lucky enough to protect myself. They were all really charming, funny to talk to, i knew they were scamming but still enjoyed the conversations. I would cut them off just as they started scamming. I can see how people can easily be caught out. I would say stay well away, its just not worth it.

I used my credit card to pay for my niece to use this dating site, as she lives in Kenya, they wanted me to scan my credit card and proof that i had indeed given her permission, i did all that, the money has been taken from my account, i have not had any response from them one week later. This is a scam website, do not use it. I want a refund of my money. As iam writing this review her account has been suspended, she did not use it at all and they have taken the money.

They suspended my account before I had even finished adding all of my details.
But they haven't just locked me out of my account, I can't even open the website.
I've just received an email saying they want me to scan and send documents to activate my account again. When the account is reactivated they'll no doubt want credit card details. I would have to be insane to do what they are asking.
What a waste of my time, I just want my photos back now and to delete what I put on my profile.
I should have known when I couldn't progress further without adding a weight, bust size & salary that this was not going to be the dating site for me!
I'd say avoid this one...

Most profiles are fake and lots are scammers. Most scammers are from Philippines, Russia and East Europe and Africa. Profiles of most ladies of these places are only after your money. At first they talk to you normally, then after 2 or 3 times of chatting, they tell you a miserable story or any made up story of her hard situation or her problem for you to send her money, do not be fooled no matter what stories they tell you. If you see a profile with a picture of a very beautiful or sexy girl, it is usually a scammer and not her real picture, they just put it to make you fall for her.

The tell-tale sign to me that this place is mostly scammers, is that I didn't upload a picture, yet get zillions of messages with the subject "You are cute", "Nice photo!", "You caught my eye", "I like your profile" (it has almost no info). Also telling is that almost all those fake looking messages, come from users that never viewed my profile (don't show up in the Activity -> Viewed My Profile area).

Gimme a break. Even got a few messages from "Gold" or "Platinum" members that ask for my email address, or give me theirs, in the first (or first few) messages... Total scammer-ville. My guess is that this site, and the other cupidmedia garbage sites, contract out to third-party "marketers" (aka professional scammers in suits) to put up loads of fake profiles and send out fake messages.

Don't believe a word of the CupidMedia robotic responses here, this site and all the others I've tried, are *systematically* full of scammers (or "marketers" in corporate Scamese, I suppose they'd say), no doubt to bulk up their user base and get people to sign up. Look elsewhere!

Double charged twice and they never noticed, charged again that was unauthorized and refused to refund money. Paid for 3 months and they charged me again after only 2. I hid my profile and tried to go back later and they blocked me and I had 2 months left already. Site is full of scammers and they don't even try to keep it safe for anybody. This is the biggest rip off in social dating media. Avoid this site or get ripped off. Pay Pal will not even give you your money back if you use it to pay Cupid Media.

I have spoken with a couple of women from the Philippines, most recently, Riza. These women are beautiful. When I asked one women who I'd been chatting to for ages on whatsapp and shared personal information (feelings stuff not financial) with I asked for a more personal photo, such as blowing me a kiss or a wave. Since then I have had no messages from her. Ok, it could be other things but this just doesn't fit right. After all the trouble she went to, the back and forth, I can think of no other explanation than the photo I asked for would be impossible because she isn't who she says she it. That's the only answer that makes sense. SO... not sure that any of this dating overseas women pretence is worth it.

There is no doubt that this site has a wide selection of Asian ladies, most of which are genuine - once your learn to see through the most obvious fakes. Most, but not all, are from the Philippines.

However, be aware that this outfit may suspend or shut down even a paid account based solely on some automated flag. I have had at least three occasions where I have received some "light" or more extended suspension based on issues that appear to have been merely watchlist filter words such as "funds" or "transfer" or anything similar that has been taken out of context and not verified by a human being before confirmed.

The latest layer of complexity has come out of this site now requiring you to fill out a form based on some US legislation that isn't even new (IMBRA), where you have to have the correct answer or else not be eligible to be a member. After having filled out that form, I found my account suddenly suspended a few months later without any explanation. A long-distance call to Australia would not resolve or tell me what the issue was, but referred me to email them. After a long email exchange that took weeks to conclude, they said I had supposedly checked a box on the IMBRA form that I had a prior arrest or prison record (ridiculous, I have never had trouble with the law). Although it was eventually cleared up and my profile restored, it was annoying and time consuming to go through.

From other reviews, it looks like others have had a similar experience. There should be better customer support than that, especially considering that their subscription rates are not exactly cheap. I would recommend either just getting a short-term subscription to this site, or instead look for one of the very decent free alternatives that are out there.
