I'm an American woman who is looking for a European, Australian, or New Zealander man. I specifically put in my bio I am only interested in men from anywhere in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. I get likes and messages from men from these regions yes, but also tons of messages and likes from men from the Middle East, South Asia, or Africa when I put in my bio where I would want a romantic interest to be from.

That's bad i cant chat with someone unless i am upgraded... well crap... things hard for me as it is... well it was too good to be true.

internationalcupid.com along with russiancupid.com and ukrainedate.com is operated by a group of scammers who run multiple fake profiles of gorgeous ladies and handsom males to scam real people who pay for the service. We never get the service though and have to write the honest reaview of these so called dating websites.
I had a real life experience of using these sites and for a few months and found their fraud scheme. I reported fake profiles multiple times but they never got removed... i can share more proof if needed
And after repotring abusive speech from these scammers, internationalcupid has blocked me...

My email was used to create a fake profile by InternationalCupid themselves to show more live profiles. Dishonest company with low-security site and profile verification.

The moment you join, you get 1000's of messages. They are all the same and scripted. They either start or shortly after ask for your email and/or whatsapp number.

They need to find away to combat the scammers. If you use this site, I suggest you don't even respond to random people who message you first.

Immediately upon signing up, I have been bombarded with young members, (I'm 60) who profess how much they're attracted to me and must get to know me, when you know all they want is you to send them money! It's a JOKE! That's all this site it... members trying to get you to send them money or bring them to the US.

I've joined the site on and off for a couple of years and I find it to be very legit with lots of messages and interests from women all around the world with no issues what so ever. I just don't bother with the much younger women messaging me. But all in all I think the site is great and easy to use. That's my intake on it anyway

I have been on this site for a while now. I have yet to get any legit responses. All of them are scammers wanting to move our conversations off the site, try to get me to sign up for outside services (OnlyForChat has come up several times) and bilk me for money. Its all a racket. There seems to be a real source of this in Ghana (Ghana keeps coming up even when I remove Africa from my criteria) for some reason, and a lot of Asian posts as well. Now I know, they will follow this complaint up by saying they have a zero tolerance policy for scammers, but there is no way International Cupid can be serious about that. Nearly all of the 'women' on this thing are scammers! If they were serious about enforcing a no-scammers policy, why is it so thoroughly inundated with fake profiles? They're obviously not doing a very good job!

I took $5000 out of my bank account and used it to investigate Cupid International. I am an x insurance investigator and agent of Burns International retired. I approached over 200 women on their site over a 4 month period. I found 156 wanted money for one reason or another. Many were selling porn videos. I selected 4 girls to see if I could import one to the USA. All four were frauds. 2 used false passports to convince me they were real. One was selling live videos and I could order her to perform any sexual acts live. The fourth tried to convince me she was the victem of a storm in the Philipines and lost her home. She wanted to come to the USA to be my girlfriend and to work so as to send money home to her homeless family. I reported all four girls to Cupid. Cupid droped my membership.

I created account 3 times with different email address and all three times I have been blocked and denied access to their services because first time my sister helped me to set it up and they said I am fraudulent and won't ever have access to their website. They are the ones that are dodgy and won't let people who don't pay stay there. Do not recommend at all

Nothing is preordained but it's nearly impossible to find your true match on IC because you have to break through a lot of scammers, the site doesn't care about ferreting them out. They only want to keep the cash flowing and make money. There is no screening and no profile verification. Also there is no banning. So all scammers seem to go on Internationalcupid. Usually it's pretty easy to identify these scammers and you don't easily get to the stage where you send them money, but you just waste so much time on them: one after one. I have better things to do with my time and money, so I left IC.

I have used this site on and off for a couple of years and wanted to give an account of my own experiences, as I've noticed quite a few reviewers who have come away feeling confused and distressed.
It is a basically genuine site, so long as you also accept that not all the profiles are real. One problem is that signing up is very easy - you can create a near blank profile if you like - and so scammers do turn up and will make contact with you. Perhaps the site administrators could make ID verification compulsory (at the moment it is optional), although of course they would lose a lot of their members who might not want to upload a photo of their passport or driving license into the site.
So my advice is, if you want to get the best out of the site (and there are real jewels within to be found), then you just have to learn to deal with the scammers. For example, be instantly suspicious of any profile which shows a beautiful, model looking girl with a single photo and almost nothing written on her profile. And not least when she writes you a generic email, having obviously not looked at your profile, and tells you she wants your email address so she can continue correspondence elsewhere.
In general, if a woman's first response to you is monosyllabic, or she is immediately asking for further contact details in some ways, through other social media, then don't bother. Someone who is really interested in your profile will make the effort to write in the normal way and get to know you a bit better.
And in relation to that, accept that while some beautiful women who seem interested will be fake, others will be completely genuine. You just have to be able to judge it. You don't have to walk away straight away if you're suspicious, take time to check out the person, as you would in a normal face to face situation. Just don't part with any personal information (or money) until you are sure. If they are honestly interested, they will accept that from you. And in relation to that, don't fall in love with the first beautiful woman who comes along and flatters you, as if you'll suddenly do anything for her. Avoid getting carried away with your emotions until you actually meet this person and see them in the flesh.
Keep it real: think about how you expect to communicate with people in normal life. If a woman seems a bit strange, or disinterested, or there are obvious contradictions in what she tells you, then be suspicious as you would if you had met her face to face in a bar.
If you can exercise a little judgement and not get carried away, then I can tell you that the site is otherwise a little treasure trove. I have been on hot dates with women from South Africa, Germany and Denmark over a period of 12 months, and I was not even a regular user of the site. I am now engaged to the third women I met - we corresponded for a month online before first meeting, and we just clicked. I just knew she was for real quite early on.
So to sum up, I would say that at least 80% of the profiles are completely genuine. Over time, you do get better at spotting the bad apples. So don't give up hope! There is someone out there for all of you. Good luck!

Inbox is instantly flooded with messages from asian / african accounts ignoring everything you write in your profile, sending standarttexts and are only up to collect data and have you add them in whatsapp where they will start asking for money. 9 out of 10 are a attempt to scam you. They even send exactly the same messages with the same whatsappnumber from different accounts at the same time. I dont blame the platform itself but ist just horrible

Usually it's pretty easy to identify these scammers and you don't easily get to the stage where you send them money, but you just loose soooo much time on them: one after one. I have other things to do with my time and money, so I just prefer to use a working dating site!

I will score 3 stars for now because I'm not sure if some things are true. More than 20 beautiful women every single day are starting a conversation with me. And obviously the site suggests sign up as member to keep the conversation. I do have sense that im not SO NICE LOOKING ti have so many giirls after, I even cant open all messages Im seeking for someone saying thas is website BOT to force user to be member, doesnt looks real methinks... At moment
