So google put their website as the first result when I searched for a place I can check my driving record.

Put my name in, selected where I live, gave them my DISPOSABLE EMAIL.
Then there's endless progress bars.
They are soooooooo fake.
If you need that much time to get information from various sources and compile them for real, dude you should fire your programmer; I can code better and I'm not even a programmer.

And then after about eternity, they said they've done it and I should pay them.
Nope, you are so bad and I can smell it from over the internet.

But then the spam folder of my email EXPLODED.
Checked the headers of them.
Yep all of the spams use the DISPOSABLE EMAIL I told them.

Thank goodness I dodged a bullet.

If you still love your life, stay clear of this horrible website.

You wait a really long time for them to "gather information". All the meanwhile verify with additional info, mislead you by saying info they found "may be graphic", leading you to believe who you are searching has some kind of criminal record. Then when they scam you into paying a premium for the report (more if you want it in a. Pdf format, before you even get to see the info) when you do get to look at the report, the only information you get is information you can gather from the white pages, their astrological sign, and that's it! But there is more. They elude that there "May Be" even more info, and for another 19.99 you can get the "Premium Report" Funny, I thought that's what I just paid almost 30.00 for to begin with!? Now you want another 20.00 for information that you cannot even tell me is even there? The first report does not even list whether the searched person holds a license! Which of course "May" be in the premium report. Stay away from this site!

Even if you THINK you are only signing up for one month, they WILL continue billing you.

Update:
After a day and an email back to the Company, they have refunded the money that was withdrawn for a second month after my one month membership.

ANY company that tells you that you are purchasing a one month subscription, but then in the little print, says they will continue billing you monthly is not right in my book.

Instant checkmate did do the right thing and refund the second billing after I cancelled my account.

Bad for the auto billing when they sell you "One month" of service.
Props for refunding the fee for the continued service I did not want.

Your mileage may vary. Don't do business with sites that continue a subscription automatically when you try to buy just a one month service.

Instatantcheckmate.com is supposed to be about finding people and their backgrounds, all supposedly only for informational purposes, not for any kind of legal purposes, for which they have a disclaimer. I decided to do a check on myself for the heck of it. It came up with old criminal information which has been expunged by the courts and the info was not accurate and disparaging. Even though this site is not supposed to be used for employment purposes or real background checks, you can bet it get used for that purpose and people's lives can be ruined by this site. I demanded they remove my info from their site and they gave me instructions how to do this and I followed their instructions, which they say can take up to 48 hours to remove. Interestingly enough they gather this info in minutes yet it takes 2 days to remove. I will be checking back in 2 days and if my info isn't removed I will be taking legal action. Don't trust this trash website for accurate info and hopefully any legitimate institution doing a check on you will take them for what they are, trash and bad info. If you're just trying to find a friend, there are other ways to do it than encouraging the use of these trash people search and info collecting sites that only invade your privacy, for which there is precious little of any more.

Seriously? In good faith I paid my $22.95 for a one month unlimited subscription of full and complete background checks. I put in my own name as a test and got back (after a 20 minute search) my address, an outdated phone number, my horoscope, and three relatives including my late husband, my daughter and my late husband's ex-wife. I refused to pay extra for the Premium Report since I had already paid for a "full and complete report." I called and cancelled and was told this is a legitimate business. After I mentioned the words "bait and switch," "fraud," "con," and "scam" they issued a full refund. I will wait and see how well that works. How on earth does a person find an honest website?

Instant Checkmate heavily markets a "check your name for free" offer. They then suck you into watching for 10 minutes while they progress bar their way through all sorts of interesting sounding data base searches, with alarming and tantalizing progress messages, like "12 criminal records found for !"
At the end of all this nonsense, you can get your "free" report... if you BUY a subscription. It's totally annoying BS - as in bait-and-switch. The FTC ought to sue these idiots.

I accessed Instant Checkmate, was charged $22.86 for a month's subscription. The information they provided was minimal and they kept trying to sucker me into paying additional money in order to download the skimpy information they provided and they also kept trying to steer me into paying even more money to access their "Premium Database" service. This is a real crock of $#*!, and I really should have known better. I cancelled the subscription effective the end of the month I already got suckered into paying for. We'll see if they continue to automatically charge me for additional months. I just hope this SiteJabber site will not try to charge for posting this review.
