Low quality service
October 5, 2020

I have had some great drivers in the past that have made great effort to deliver my items. I have recently had a few drivers that should not be allowed to deliver for this company. I get story short, my
Last driver must've been really hungry because they purchased a ton of snacks for themselves on my dime that I did not authorize. They must've been thirsty as well because they took 4 bottles of water from my 32 pack. There's no accountability because this company doesn't allow you to rate their drivers so even though I have complained about my recent experience, they are still employing this thief so they can do this to others. Carefully check every receipt if u use this service. There's a definite scam going on.

For the last 3 months instacart has become so bad that they probably refunded me over $300 in that 3 month period because of missed purchased product or damaged product. Shoppers do not pay attention to the instacart shopping list give you merchandise you don't even ask for and the delivery has become horrible they don't even knock on the door or push the doorbell they drop the merchandise and leave.so if you order ice cream you can imagine it'll be melted before you finally figure out that they've delivered it. THEY WERE GREAT BUT NO LONGER CANCELED MY MEMBERSHIP IN THEIR DELIVERY FEE SYSTEM.

They steal money
October 3, 2020

@Instacart these people stole money from me. They are extremely unclear on a very important detail. The prices they charge on the website are not always the prices in the store. They pocket the difference which for me a struggling mother was twenty dollars. Twenty dollars to shop And deliver. On your receipt they include a fee already based on a percentage of your order. This was what I believed their "service" fee was for the convenience of delivery. (Though they advertise free delivery) when I noticed the almost twenty dollar difference between The paper store receipt and the emailed receipt I contacted customer service and was told this was just a charge for the convenience of using their service. I don't know about you but I consider that stealing since this is not made clear while you're shopping with them. I feel they are deliberately misleading and I will blast this loud and clear to be sure everyone knows to be wary when using this service.

I recently received a charge of $103.95 on my credit card. They said it was because I recently purchased a grocery order from Real Canadian Superstore, which I've done a number of times. They said they automatically sign you up based on your order history and then charge you after 15 days without any knowledge of it happening. This just WRONG... even criminal!

Is there a NEGATIVE 10... driver was delivering to a tenant at one of my rental properties - HIT the building, SMASHED out a window and it's frame then sped off. The company refuses to provide the police with the drivers information. THIS IS DISGUSTING BUSINESS PRACTICE!

It's not enough that the customer pays a $100 enrollment fee to get the Instacart service... and then gets an additional $5-$6 charge added to each grocery order... and has to tip the shopper. In addition to all these things, grocery items are marked up several dollars over the in-store prices.

No sales prices applied
September 24, 2020

I enjoy the app. I did just however find out the price in the app is what you pay. I assumed if an item was on sale it would just be discounted on the final bill. I understood it would show while you're shopping. So they are now making money on a service fee, delivery fee, and whatever extra they made off of me shopping for sale items and then charging me extra. Hugely disappointed

No customer service
September 22, 2020

Instacart is awful. They were hacked on September 8. I received two bills one for 80.00 the other for 90.00, same day. A delivery to an unknown man in Kearney New Jersey. I immediately contacted them and they swore they would remove the charges. They did not. I have had to cancel my credit card and take this up with American Express. INSTACART HAS DONE NOTHING. THEY KNEW IT WAS FRAUD. THEY EVEN TOLD ME THAT SOMEHOW THIS MAN RUSSELL HARSYN (SIC THEIR SPELLING) HAD MY CREDIT CARD AND ASKED HOW I HAD TWO ACCOUNTS. Their phone number does not work... It took over an hour as the phone kept cutting out. Their email service also sucks. DO NOT STORE YOUR CREDIT CARD AND IF POSSIBLE DO NOT USE THEM.

Received 50% off coupon didn't honor.
Supervisor would not get on the phone.
Emails say after a 100.00 order just use it in the next 3 days. Already did my shopping for the week. I feel like I was scammed.

Instacart las Vegas
September 17, 2020

They delivered to the wrong house TWICE in one day. They left it outside some neighbor's house while I was sitting on my patio the whole time. This is only one instance. I've used them previously and one lady was trying to give me other people's order. Then she grabbed everything she had for mine and another order and I had to sit and sort thru other peoples groceries and mine. On another occasion one instacart person kept some of my items and gave me two other items or someone else's. I'm so tired of reporting them and calling customer support. The worst part is that none of them follow the directions as I've NEVER ONCE checked the box saying to leave my groceries outside. It's also 100 degrees here... guarantee nobody wants their milk and eggs sitting on their patio. I'm so disgusted with this company.

Horrible service
September 17, 2020

Denied my legal passport for no other reason than it being from a different country. Said they will just "hang up" on me when they didn't like the tone (?) I called to report that issue with. Refused to provide any legal basis for denying my documents. Asked me if there's someone at home with a valid ID (again my documents were all 100% valid, just not American and on their website it says they accept passports). Laughed when I said that I'll leave a review about that experience. I seriously don't know what kind of people work in this service but it's obvious they don't care about their reputation and they feel like it's okay to treat people like less then human based on the place they come from. Definitely won't ever order from them again.

The software consistently offers products for sale that show available on the site, yet are not in store's inventory.
The stores need to put aside an inventory for online sales.
When the order is placed, the item needs to be locked for purchase and removed from inventory.
As inventory of the "online reserve" is depleted, the software needs to display the current, accurate count.

Literally a Waste of Time
September 14, 2020

I placed an order but instead of it being delivered in two hours it took four days. (Granted, having groceries with very few rotted items being delivered to my door was certainly novel.) The promised time was updated by two hours or so every couple of hours (without giving a notification), Example: It will be delivered between 11:00-1:00 but nothing, but then the website updated the time from 1:00-3:00. For four EFFING days. What a waste of my time. That said, customer service was really trying to help, but they could only throw credits for next time at me. With $60 in credit I stupidly tried again. Five days of frustration, no groceries. Meanwhile I get daily emails from them wanting me to do more business with them. I gave up, I canceled the order, I had to go away for four days. It didn't cancel though. Unbeknownst to me, the whole time they keep promising to deliver in two hours every two hours. Dumbest system ever. I didn't know they kept it up until I got back. I was finally notified that THEY canceled my order. No reason was given. This sub-level of service boggles the mind. Instacart has provided the worst service I have every experienced in anything. It's a complete time sink. I will never get those days back.

Nothing was wrong with the person who pulled the order Genny, the problem is with Instacart. I was given a $100 Instacart Gift Card and my total came to $99.99, which according to the itemized total included EVERYTHING, But it showed a balance of $8.98 that no one at Instacart could explain what this was for and i could not place my order unless I paid this fee. Also, good luck trying to find a Customer Service number.
When you are done, Instacart will not allow you to post your review in there website, the All Done button is not active.
