False Advertising
December 24, 2021

I spent the time setting up an account and shopping as I was being bombarded with ads claiming they deliver within 2 hours. My delivery was actually going to take place TWO DAYS later. Unreal that this kind of false advertisement is permitted in Canada. My advice and from reading other reviews... run from this shady company.

Don't Waste Your Time

I only ever use instacart when I get promotions for free delivery. Even then I am not sure it is really worth it. The inventory is never accurate so I never get my full order shopped. I get notifications of promotions in the app that do not exist ALL THE TIME. When I asked customer service about it they told me that means the promotion is no longer valid. Really? The brand new notification I received while I was actively using my phone is no longer valid? It has just been a frustrating experience and this never happens with Amazon Fresh.

Do not trust their offer

Instacart offer spend $200 then have $40 discount on Costco Same day Delivery, then I placed the order which amount is over $200, but the shopper picked up the goods which has the final amount is 197.76, then I asked her to add one more item cost $2.26 to make the total amount as $200.02, so I am supposed to have $40 discount when I spent over $200, but I can not find this -$40 on my receipts, so please let me know what's going on? I reported this over 3 times from yesterday, but no one get back to me so far... I do not trust this company any more

AWFUL!

I have been sick for weeks. And have been off of work and sick at home for the last couple days, hence getting groceries delivered. The shopper substituted over half of my list, things that I know are usually in stock. And the substitutions were nothing similar to what I wanted. Then it said my groceries were delivered and I never received them. I called customer service and they said her GPS and phone were both turned off. They offered me a refund, but that still left me without groceries. I went to Kroger where my groceries were picked up, and they had EVERY. SINGLE. THING. She said they were out of. So shout out to Haley with instantcart! I hope you enjoy my free health food! And I hope you lose your job!

Scam
December 15, 2021

Not only did the delivery driver put my food out on the curb Instacart decided they would withdraw $205 from my account for $135 worth of groceries. I'm done getting robbed my non American companies. This is the first step of many to come

Unreliable

I ordered groceries at 11 am on Sunday, and scheduled that delivery for 4-6 pm the same day. At 5 pm I was notified it would be delayed to 7pm. Then at 6:30 pm, I got another notice that it would be delayed to 9 pm. At 8 pm, I was notified it would be delayed to 1 pm the next day. This is ridiculous. Don't sell people a delivery window that you can't honor.

I have now given them 3 chances getting taken over 400.00 for 115.00 groceries still not received any product the foreign reps think they can take advantage of innocent people with no recourse I am caring the authoritys cops and charging insta cart with fraud on a vulnerable adult

This place is horrible! And I have a very easy going a very easy to work with but this place, for one I'm using EBT so therefore it's obvious I don't have much money, but even using EBT they want you to charge debit card or some sort of temporary hold! 115 for a $90 EBT order! What a crock these guys are ripoffs!

I'm disabled I don't know what gender I am I'm laying in the bathroom naked crying and my mother's the card was charged for instacart express that is not my name it was used twice in the entire Instagram account I don't go in public that's why he's in scorched and they take advantage of disabled people and I'm do not know a gender I am and I'm also gay and I am really going through a lot and now I can't even get deliveries so thank you so much Mr card you have ruined my mental health I'm literally naked in the bathroom crying and will never recover from this and I want you to know that I really appreciate it thank you

NEVER AGAIN!

This was my first and last time ever shopping with Instacart. My order was placed at 5pm I had a delivery time of 7:45p which was fine with me, I didn't get off work until after 6p. When 7:45 rolled around and no order delivered I received a message letting me know that my order would be delivered by 9:50p. Mind you, I have children that are in school that has a scheduled bed time and I myself have to be ip early for work. Needless to say, I had to go with something quick that I already had and make that for dinner instead of what I intended to make because my order would have been delivered too late. I did get a $5 refund but I have to use it within a certain amount of time and that $5 would only cover some of my next delivery charge should I decide to Instacart again. They can keep it! It's a NO for me!

Misleading information

There is nowhere you see that they will take the money for your order which is what you pay for your order, including service fee and tax and tip but also they take off your account 18-20% of your shopping amount, they hold51 dollars from my bank and they say they will return it in 7 days, HOW IS THAT ACCEPTABLE. What about the poor family that barely has money to purchase food, or has to pay some bills. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE AND MISLEADING. HORRIBLE, There are other sites DO NOT USE THIS ONE.

DELAYED DELIVERY 3 TIMES

Supposed to receive order between 3 and 5. Then at 6:15... now at 7:30. Who knows if they delay again trying to send groceries to my brother who is sick and he waited all day. Ridiculous. Angry, dissatisfied customer

They Short Changed Me

I ordered a small order from them and they delivered 7 of the 12 items that I ordered. I did not hear back from them and after I saw that they fully charged my credit card I logged into the account that they forced me to create just to communicate to them. They responded by giving me a credit to my Instacart account which I had three months to use against an order of $35 or more. I told them to credit my card which they saved to my account WITHOUT ASKING and then crickets. I will never use them again,

Just so you know

I have been using instacart for over a year now. I order my groceries weekly.
Never a problem until recently,. I placed my order on Friday as usual I was waiting for my usual notification that someone has started my shopping... An hour goes by... then two then 3 and so on ( with my delivery time changing without notification to me)
Long story short my groceries never came and no one notified me nor am I able to contact them.
Not happy with that

Their website is awesome. It took me almost an hour to shop. It scheduled next day delivery. Checking today I discovered, in addition to taxes and tip for the delivery guy they added their fee and an additional fee. Their add on charges came to an extra $25. Then the phone locator show the delivery address as my son's where I had visited yesterday and there was no way to fix it. I had to cancel the order. Very, VERY disappointed. I just got out of the hospital and this delivery would've been EXTREMELY helpful but too expensive for a senior on a fixed income.

I clearly saw driver WHILE i was texting him in app.
He kep pretending not to see me and drove past me as I'm texting him to please stop and deliver my food.
He then finally drove off.
I see that my order was then canceled! And I was charged a fee to boot!
I figured out what happened, he pretended that he never got a reply from me.
He also claimed ot call me, but no calls received.
Completely disgusting lack of help from instacart support
They would rather cover for bad shoppers than keep customers.
You're all replaceable since Instacart is still making money had over fist because of Pandemic.
So now I have to wait 5-10 days for this huge charge to come off my credit card AND this creep gets ot keep MY food!

I cant thank customer care at instacart enough. I was concerned about availability of my stockings and pantyhose and they pointed me in the right direction... Sineay was awesome!... I will be ordering with Instacart again and again!. I love my stockings and pantyhose!... John

Trash waste of time you could walk to the nearest grocery store if you wanted to wait 48 hours when you scheduled a delivery for the day of. Stop stealing peoples money and forcing them to wait with bull$#*! promises of a delivery they will never make. Use a different delivery service (ex. GoPuff) if you actually want to receive your items within a 1-2hr time window.

Hidden costs

I picked up groceries at the local aldi's. First time shopping at aldi's. No problem picking them up. I was checking my bank statement and saw they had charged me about $15. I called them up and the phone number no longer works. I emailed them and was told that I would receive a full refund. I was never told about the charges at any time. I'm still waiting after 3 weeks for that refund. I don't know what to do anymore. Next time I want to pick up groceries I will check to be sure instacart IS NOT working for that store.
