Overcharging
March 17, 2022

Beware ordering from Krogers and Instacart delivery. I was overcharged and there were items I did not order on my receipt. Kroger gave a credit yet the final bill still was incorrect. Check your receipts carefully.

Eh
March 17, 2022

So I will say, the people who work for instacart (some of them suck). You obviously need to know how to communicate with the customer. I hate ordering from instacart because the people who shop for my groceries NEVER LISTEN and if I chose delivery, they steal some of my groceries. Anyways some of the people they let work for them just, don't even need to work for them. They are rude and always have an attitude. One time a lady had gotten physical with me. Lord, gave me all the strength not to kick her $#*!.

When creating a profile, passwords and all, it would not lete block out my password, the phone number they give you is not a working number, and while making a password it accepted my password and there were only three letters for a password and then all of a sudden I can shop and I'm asked for a credit card, all this with out choosing any option except to try and delete my account bc as it seemed when I chose an item from a Google search, an item that Instacart delivers, all of a sudden I'm being asked to have a free membership and wanted all my info. Wth! Even when I chat with "live customer service all of a sudden all the text is super large and u can't see or read anything.

I ordered 2 items Frozen gumbo and Cold Gumbo... They sent me Chili instead of Cold Gumbo... How freaking hard is it? People make mistakes, I get it, if I had 20 items I might understand,, but on 2 items there is no excuse. I paid a $3.00 service fee and a $4.00 tip on the web site. Never saw the driver, they left the items on my front porch. I won't be using this service again. Hamel was the delivery guy. He was probably on his cell phone while shopping or really stoned.

I wanted to complain about Instacart… after they deducted 99.00 from my account. There's a free trial where it allows you to have delivery for almost a week. However, my complaint here is "INSTACART NEEDS TO LET PEOPLE KNOW BEFORE HAND BEFORE TAKING MONEY OUT FROM THAT FREE TRIAL!" What I've learned is Instacart is very misleading…. They don't even value their customers. They didn't even notify me that money was going to be taken out. If they're going to have a free trial - at least END it there. Don't make it more complicated and more of a fraud by taking out money automatically and WITHOUT permission or at LEAST A NOTICE‼ Not everyone is going to be checking their Instacart app everyday. I wanted to give Instacart a try, but having an issue with no respect or value for customers…. Has be fraud and upset.

LESSON LEARNED, don't even try free trials and add your card right away. Cos they'll end up taking money out automatically and leaving you left with no notice or RECONSIDERATION‼

It's rude for them to take out money. And why 99.00 to begin with? 100 dollars for free delivery? No thank you, I'd rather go to the store and take care of my own needs then to have an app deduct money off of my account with no evaluation

SOOO many extra fees, even as a member!
March 13, 2022

I Pay the yearly Express Membership fee. They are now adding so many additional fees along with the yearly fee. These are things that should be included. Fee for "additional items in cart," (this was an order for 14 items), fee for "background checks on employees", fee for "alcohol delivery"... look them up bc there are so many others. This, along with obscene upcharges on your purchases. We have way too many other options to use someone else which I'm doing as soon as my membership runs out.

Contact Instacart
March 13, 2022

I am a driver for Instacart over a year and changed my phone with new number and tried to get into my app and couldn't because it wanted me to get a code on my old number which was impossible. So I can't access the app and can't contact Instacart outside of the app. I've sent emails, they come back no longer available, called all the phone numbers and they are all no longer working! So their support outside the app is needed in case you can't access it. It's been 3 months and still can't get any help with my account.

Double Charged
March 13, 2022

We ordered groceries and paid online. When the delivery driver came she asked for the cash. No receipt, order wrong. Tried to call instacart but they would not provide any receipt either. We were double charged for an incorrect order. Driver was unfriendly and ripped us off.

I purchased items from Pick & Save which uses Instacart. When I received my receipt I found I had been charged $134.87 instead of the expected $63.32. After checking my bank statement I found I'd been charged twice in the amounts of $63.32 and $75.55. Reading thru my receipt it appeared that two orders had been merged and I'd been charged for both. I have spent the entire morning calling every Instacart customer service # I could find. Also contacted Pick & Save. I could barely understand the instacart agent due to a strong accent. Was transferred to another agent... twice... still unable to understand them. They also had trouble understanding me! The third one hung up on me! Was finally transferred to their "corporate Kroger office". That agent had a very strong accent as well... he just stopped responding to my questions. Also used their online email form... no reply. Tried Instacart one final time and still was unable to make any headway. Please don't assume I'm racist... totally not... but customer service employees need to be able to communicate with their clients. After 3 hours of phone calls; being transferred time and time again; being hung up on and also chastised for not understanding why it's necessary to go thru this maze of unhelpful agents... I give up. Calling the bank and reporting those charges which will also cost me money, time waiting for a new debit card... Basically this system is unacceptable.

First customer service is a joke. They get these people from India, with thick accents, that you can't understand. Then they send your shopper to the furthest store from where you live, that has none of the
Items you ask for. Then they don't listen when you ask for a certain credit back. Stupid people are running, this, probably CEO's that get a Million a year, and can't find their you know whats from a hole in the ground.

Overpriced!
March 11, 2022

1st of all I believe their shoppers cant read or pay attention. Like the USPS employees who are basically illiterate.
They dont really look hard to find what you have selected to buy, thinking that you'll accept any replacement anyway!
And lastly, they are overpriced on almost everything you pick. So. If you're desperate and just cant get to the store by any means, look for another delivery service.

I did a trial period of instacart express and canceled 2 days before the trial ended. They still charged me the yearly fee even though it was shown that my instacart was shut off. Watch your bank statements people.

Continuing bad servivce
March 10, 2022

This is a revision of my previous review. They dropped from 2 stars down to 1. Mainly because their shoppers just don't care what they do or pay any attention to the customers even after "chatting" about replacement orders. I just received another screwed up order. The final Instacart charges showed the item receipt from Kroger to be $10+ dollars more than the actual receipt in the bag. And I'm not talking about Instacart's delivery fees. Just the Kroger receipt. Items were missing that the shopper showed he delivered. Items we chatted about and agreed on a replacement were not even delivered at all. The wrong sizes of items were chosen, like the 8 oz parmesan instead of the 16 oz I had ordered. They just don't care. I am more than willing to tip generously, but not if the service is so poor I have to waste time trying to get it all straightened out. Not to mention not having the items I needed today. How can Instacart stay in business with all the refunds they have to dole out for their shoppers messing up? Still, Instacart is better than Walmart deliveries.

Placed a grocery order everything went through fine. Two minutes after I placed it I got an email that security had been breached and my account had been locked. No instructions on how to unlock the account. I spoke to the customer service people and they told me I had to fill out a form to get the account unlocked because that was done through the security department. Their security department does not take phone calls. Needless to say this is ridiculous and I will no longer shop on Instacart ever again. Terrible customer service from the customer service center and the stores!

Ever wonder why you don't get the physical reciept, or why your total didn't go down even tho the person gave u marked down produce? Because. They set their prices and do not change them. Even if you use your savings card, they keep the extra money. Or in some cases, add on to your total to gain MORE money even though your already paying more. Greedy. And they hide this from you in the fine print. Your better off getting an Uber to the store. (every one I've checked totaled over $10 more than what was actually spent.)

Rip offs
March 5, 2022

I also found a Costco receipt in my order. My ground meat was $27 and instacart charged me $32! On top of everything I bought they upped the price they still added on a delivery fee and a automatic 15% tip. Will never use them again. This company is a rip off!
