So I worked doing Instacart for a few hours today and made $130. Doing my last order the customer ask for my phone number to let me in once I arrived and I did. Well just my phone number allowed the scamming customer to access my account and steal all my information and earnings as well as locked me out my account. I'm in disbelief that just my phone no password, allowed this scamming customer to access my account and locked me out. Instacart low security measures is the cause of this and I hope they step it up cause I'm livid oh someone will email me in 24-48 hours like wtf

My Instacart delivery was delivered by Jessica. She was rude to the receptionist and spoke to her in a despicable tone of voice. When she came to my residence she dropped the groceries on the ground with a loud bang and left without speaking to me. Obviously she was mad about something. She brought groceries back two more times with a rude, made look on her face. We do have carts to help people move large loads. But because of her rudeness I'm sure she didn't give the receptionist time to tell her.
When I asked about the problem stated couldn't find the address in my complex. Each building has a separate address. All she needed to do was look at the first building to find it. And, she wouldn't give me a receipt because she would have to return to her car to get it. And, she yelled down the hall she wasn't coming back.
Her main reason was I didn't give specific directions in the notes. Just tired of the conflict that always happens when Instacart is involved in any grocery delivery.
Will be changing grocery stores to avoid using them again!
Instacart failure wrongly terminated of something I didn't do they try to say that I misuse they card at a store so they deactivated my account but I send them proof of it because I know they lie on me they say I spent $5.26 on the 19 of December so if I that why did they let me do Instacart on the 20,21,23 because they are liar
UPDATE2: Back to a 1 rating. I actually went to the site for the Grocery Store, and they offered "Orders to go". So I compared prices. One example Banana's $.49 a lb vs $.59 a lb at Instacart. And that was the SMALLEST Mark-up. I did my next order through the store and saved over $60.00. And guess who delivered it. Instacart. Wow! UPDATE: Upgraded from a 1 to a 4 stars. Once I did finally get through the website an placed the order I was lucky enough to deal with a great person who asked all the right questions via text DURING the shopping. The only mistake in the order was MINE. The Delivery person was FANTASTIC! The site though still needs some work to be less pushy on unwanted items. ORIGINAL POST: My Granddaughter said I should try instacart now that I'm not so mobile, So I signed up. FIRST, they show a bunch of useless stuff they are trying to dump. I don't HAVE pets. Then, once you figure out you can search, EVERY TIME it defaults to "Best Match", which are NO where near what I am looking for. SO, I have to click "Low to High Prices" EVERY TIME! There should be a way to select a default to have it remember, otherwise you are scrolling through tons of unwanted or unrelated items. With "Low to High", the items I ACTUALLY want are within the first few rows. It will take me 5 hours to do what I could do in one hour going myself. THey show items I never say in that particular store, and there's no easy way to leave a note on certain items, like the looks of Tomatoes, the Age of milk, the size of Banana's. I think I tip EXTREMELY well, but I don't see this being easier, only more expensive.
Hi there, as of writing this I work for Publix. And as someone who does, I like shopping there once I get off of work. However, after using this service just THREE TIMES; I've decided that I'll just shop in-store myself, because it is highly unlikely I'll ever use this app again.
Funny enough, these orders all involve an order with a sub. First I ordered a meatball sub in one of my orders... never got it. Though at least they refunded me for that one. The second order, I got my sub with wheat bread when I asked for multi grain, though at least the rest of the sub had the ingredients I wanted in it.
The last order, oh boy; this caused me to never use this service again, I asked for a custom order sub and they replaced it with a "custumer sub", which was just one of the pre-made Deli subs (the Italian one). I specifically listed what I wanted on the sub and the shopper just... got me the wrong one? And it didn't help that they took HOURS to get my order done when I only got a few items and didn't live very far from the store.
They didn't really talk much to me though; and while I guess that may be due to English not being their first language, have they ever heard of Google Translate? Anyways, if I were you, I'd either use a different service or go to the store yourself; I'd advise you not to waste your money on this service.
Never use them again! I am in the third day of waiting for a delivery from Sam's Cub. I am extremely disappointed!
First off, how in this day and age can it be that so many services are short staffed? It's almost like everyone wants to make big bucks but no one wants to work... anyway, I have ordered a few times through instacart and gif the third time now, my order has been pushed back and rescheduled to ridiculously late times, resulting eventually if not being delivered at all. The burden was then on me to reorder. The excuse is understaffing, really? Why do they even offer tine slots? None of my orders were actually adhering yo the desired and chosen times. Mostly they were late but one was even so early that the store has not yet had done items due yo deliveries yo them were not in yet. It's extremely frustrating! So yes, I got a 5 buck credit, but guess what... I have not yet found any instructions as to how to redeem it...
My account was hacked 6 months ago. I contacted via email to close my account because this person kept resetting my password over and over again. They said if I provided them with all this insanely specific info they would close the account. They never responded. I emailed another 15 times. Nothing. Someone keeps hacking hacking the account, they send me a dozen emails per week to reset the password but it never works. They don't give a $#*! that someone has access to my credit card information. I continually have fraudulent charges I need to remedy with my bank. I would never EVER use this service every again.
Todays is 1-10 and I ordered some groceries from INSTACART that was delivered from PUBLIX. Everything was fine except the whole chicken I gut was wat too much skin so crunchy and the date was marked SELL BY 3-7. Whatever that means.
Publix said I could return to the store (which is impossible to me). Or call INSTACART a d they would refund me if I had a 9-digit number..
I had the worse time on there I was wrongfully kicked off in the middle of my order twice then sent them my driver's license and credit card pictures only to have them refuse ro repay me back my money all because it was prepaid so I guess they are really picky with the payment method to a serious dumb tee. I want my 40 dollars back
I would give zero stars if I could. The company charged me $108 for an order and the shopper cancelled. My money has been held hostage for weeks. They then charged me $99 for a membership that I cancelled. They didn't cancel it. I received an email stating it was cancelled 2 days ago but didn't get a refund. My bank said it wasn't processed. I then chatted yesterday and they said it was canceled. It wasn't. I called today and they said it wasn't canceled. Why did I receive a cancel confirmation email when it wasn't and money was taken out of my bank? No one can answer it. The lady said she processed it today. What a nightmare company that needs to be shut down. Don't bother.
I like Instacart because of the convenience but I noticed something today. Two of my items were refunded but my total was the same. I looked at my receipt and noticed they had adjusted my tip so that my total would still be the same. Well, now I know I must use the rating system if I don't qant my tip adjsted but this is ridiculous.
WORST SERVICE EVER!
Placed order at 3:30pm Jan 3rd. Order got pushed 4 times! Shopper got assigned and dropped. Shopper finally got assigned and started shopping after 8pm and 2 calls to Instacart. Finished shopping checked out and disappeared. Calle din again left on hold for 30 minutes without anyone returning to my call! Horrible service
Wasted over 6 hours of my time and nerves and got no groceries, no help, no explanation and total ignorance! Shame
On Jan 4th reordered again at 10am. No shopper until 1:30pm. Then the shopper decided to cancel with no reason. Instacart reordered again! Shopper was at the end of shopping and cancelled again after I wasted my time chatting about order. Reassigned again! Called 3rd time today as well customer services sucked, was so rude after I told her what happened in those 2 days for a 20 item order and said again will reorder and order will arrive maybe by 5:30pm and there is nothing they can do. Ha?!
Do not want any Instacart service ever again!

Please review fees before ordering thru instacart. They have lot of hidden fees that you don't see like large item fee...my service charge for a free delivery was $14.24! This does not include a tip. I feel raped!
Worked for few days with them. First orders they top off as an offer then after that reality shows up. So they rely on customers tips and make sure you are never paid well. They claim they pay the tips in full that's true but they lower their pay depending on customers order. So imagine an order batch for two customers shopping for them and delivery total of 29 CAD. Tips are 21$ and their actual pay is 7$ from Instacart! Yes 7 doesn't cover fuel and taxes alone. The new CEO of instacarte is such an ashhole. I quit definitely
Instacart, great concept, but a huge rip-off. They have zero customer service knowledge and deliveries are never complete as ordered. They charge for membership, service fees, service fee tax, traveling fees and container fees. None of these fees are disclosed prior to processing payment. They also expect a 10% gratuity with the option to increase!
Customer service has been contacted several times and they simply send out form letters to address issues. Their BBB rating is 1.1/5 closing over 4,652 complaints in the past 3 years. Wonder how many have NOT been closed! Clearly not a reputable company.
Instacart practices fraudulent billing by not specifying and disclosing charges prior to checkout. They charge an addition amount on your card when ordering and return unused funds 3-4 days later. Membership only buys a reduced Service fee which varies per delivery yet they state Free Member delivery. LIES!
Service fees applies mostly to their Instacart driver background. So what does Membership include? I have not yet received an order that was complete or correct and customer service is useless avoiding known issues.
I am canceling membership as it is worthless.
Just absolutely rude and disgusting language. I'll never order again. This person has no business touching anyone's food.
My issue with Instacart is the shoppers are not held accountable. They "forget" large items such as watermelons and bags of avocados, choose goods which are spoiled, and defraud customers on weighted items. When you raise these issues with Instacart they respond with canned answers or a "grant" a credit that never appears on your account.
Here is an example:
"I sincerely apologize on behalf of everyone for all the hassle that you have faced. I realize that this situation is difficult. We've received a high number of order issues from your Instacart account.
Unfortunately, after reviewing this activity, your account is no longer eligible for credit, refund, or redelivery at this time. If you think this is an error or have any questions or concerns, please email *******@instacart.com.
The onus is placed on the customer who has to be at a loss for shoppers' mistake or bad behavior. I will no longer use Instacart and use HEB pickup instead.
I will NEVER use them again placed a online for pickup went to the store to pickup and the store had no order for me, I spent $200.00 on groceries only to be embarrassed.I reported the issue and was told I would be credited which never happened then after numerous of calls to customer service now it's a issue with there system when trying to add the credit back to my accounts.Very poor customer service and employees are able to lie and steal from clients.
Shoppers do not know how to pick produce. Constantly receiving spoiled fruit & vegetables. Plus customer service is terrible.
Answer: Instacart does not give you the sale prices from the store. So if the peanut butter is 3.50 on sale. Instacart will charge you 4.80 regular price. Their prices are all over the board but on average you are paying 20% more.
Answer: You can't! The only way I got a response from them was when they emailed me to rate my driver and I gave a bad review for her and Instacart. I got an email back. Otherwise, there is no Customer Service! I tried everything under the "Help" section and got nowhere!
Answer: Seriously? They have already scientifically proven that is not spread that way. How many strangers & kids and semi drivers and warehouse people touch your stuff before it even leaves the store.
Answer: No, they don't by policy. But I've found they don't deliver anything else either. Last two orders were cancelled. I dumped my account and told them to keep the gift card balance. Done with InstaCart.
