This was a very positive experience and I'm enjoying my videos of my Family!
I didn't know I was going to have to do an iCloud subscription at the end of all of this. I thought I would have the ability to download them onto my computer or have a memory stick.
I had 2 very old VCR tapes converted onto a thumb drive and am very happy with the results. Would do it again if I had more as it's so enjoyable to be able to watch these important events whenever I want.
I have wanted to be able to see my 8mm home videos but had no way towatch them anymore. So this is an awesome service it was so easy, quick, so much fun to watch videos from39 years ago. My kids were so excited to see them and the grandkids have really liked seeing their mother and Aunt and their great grandparents again! I am going to find my dads old hime movues and get the done too.

I enjoyed rewatching my old tapes on digital, but I had forgotten how bad the quality of tape was. This service is great but its also expensive, hence the 4 stars. If it were less expensive, I would have done many more tapes.

It was definitely worth it to have our old videos digitized. So much bittersweet joy to view them again. What I'll never know is whether using any other service would've made them any clearer to view, or whether this is all one can expect of videotapes after 29 years (which, if so, is all the more reason to get them digitized ASAP). Faces were recognizable, but blurry. Some of the films just weren't worth keeping because of that. But we were able to view, edit, and share memories that are priceless in our family, and quite emotional to watch.
The process with iMemories was excellent in terms of shipping and getting things back. The only tricky part was accessing them online. Sometimes I'd have to re-enter my email and password 5 or 6 times before I could access our movies, and then I'd have to wait several minutes for them to populate the screen. But they were easy to download and slip into iMovie for editing and sharing. Many thanks for a truly worth-it experience.
I was very happy with the quality of the home movies that was digitalized from IMemories. Everything was easy and safe.
After a cam on my email, I changed by email address. With the result that the first box I sent was charged under the ordeal. After a couple of calls I think we got it straightened out.
What a seamless process! I look forward to digging in to the download to further tag and organize the contents.

Fun to see old memories. Happy I did it but the expense was too much. After sending in and getting quote we almost turned down until we received 50%. That brought it down but not enough to buy all the memories.
Digital files are clear and shareable and my originals have been returned. I recommend iMemories to others who want to convert old media.
We are so glad that we started converting our old VHS tapes! Some tapes were obviously starting to deteriorate. It's been such a special experience to go back in time and relive life's special moments! We plan to keep going through the rest of our tapes to totally have everything saved for posterity!
I was happy with the tracking and quick downloads online. I thought I had paid for a thumb drive with my order, but realized I only got the ability to down load which would have taken for ever so I purchased the thumb drive from imemories. One of my most important tapes wasn't downloaded and I was told it had a tape issue, but it should have been mentioned and I am not so sure it did... otherwise, glad to have it all converted.
The videos all transferred nicely. However, I'm beyond upset I have to pay even more money to get CD's. I'm going broke.!
