At first I always avoided Hubzu auctions, then I had to use them for an investor client. I was very impressed with the customer service, respect, and promptness they showed. Yes they have their ways of conducting the auctions, but once you know how it works and adjust your expectations you realize that its actually a great place to find good deals on houses. And they actually care about customer service. Total surprise!
My inquiry about a property I was looking at returned a prompt accurate and helpful information! And I didnt have to chase after the listing agent or any other source!

Not worth your time. Five times I won a bids five time they came back with a new offer way higher than the original bids. As far as I am concerned this is pure scam or close to it.

Site will not allow you to decrease offers and you run the risk at getting locked in at a price that you maybe didnt want to pay. Not to mention the ridiculous service charge (which ceases to make this format for the transaction not cost effective). At the end of the day, I paid $30k too much on top of a $13k service. Hubzu really stuck it too me. So disappointed.
