It is my view, if you own a business or make any IT decisions at work or home, NEVER ever ever buy an HP printer. The HP Smart printer software is an oxymoron and the customer service is neither a service nor customer focused. Buy Epson, buy Brother, buy any other brand, stay away from HP if you want to keep your sanity. We will be ridding ourselves of all HP products.
If I could give HP a "no stars" rating, I would. I bought a brand new HP OfficeJet 3830, 2 years ago from Best Buy. Got it home, it printed, copied, and scanned just fine. Three days later it took a dump. HP said they would send me a new one. They sent me a REFURBISHED device. Funny thing, I didn't pay for a REFURBISHED device but HP doesn't give a crap. I needed a printer so thought about heading back down to Best Buy and buying a Canon or Brother, anything else but an HP. Stupid me did not do that. Over the past 2 years, how many times have I tried to get a hold of an actual human being at HP? They keep wanting me to use the chat robot that keeps asking me the same question over and over again. If you do that long enough, they'll finally give you the secret code you'll need to use when you call in, if you can get the phone number. Oh, and you'll still wait on the phone for a few hours. This last time I went online the chat robot told me that my refurbished 3830 was out of warranty. I needed to speak with someone so I paid $19.99 for a one-time customer service human being to resolve my problem. After paying $19.99 I never got the secret code so I thought, screw it, I'll dispute the charge with my bank. I went online and there was a phone number for HP which, by the way, is *******800. I guy named Pablo actually answered the phone right away. Forty-five minutes later Pablo told me he couldn't help me and that I need to be sent to another department to get a refund. The next department told me they couldn't help me and sent me to another department, who promptly hung up on me and never bothered to return my call even though I'd given it to them 3 different times. It's now 3:08pm. Between the HP website and the final phone call I've spent 4.5 hours with HP spinning me in circles. At some point during all of this I realized I can scan to my computer just fine if I use the keys on the actual printer. It's the Smart HP app that's not working. I'll keep checking my bank account for the payment of $19.99 to clear. Then I'll dispute the charge and make HP fill out the paperwork to get their $19.99. I have a feeling, though, they won't give a crap and they'll just dump it in the trash. Don't buy HP unless you want to find yourself in the pit's of he! With customer service.
Have you ever tried to contact customer support. Save your time they make it impossible. Cannot order a part for repairing what seems a very common issue with HP printers, what a total waste of money, and especially on ink cartridges which are mega expensive that are now totally wasted.
Will not and cannot justify a new HP printer at their prices with their lack of customer support.
I purchased a laptop, didn't turn on, no problem I have a warrant on it right? Nope I have to send it in. So I do, they call me about a week later, telling me they won't warranty it because it has water damage. I said that is not possible it was never out of the box. Well nothing they can do, I'm beat. Fast forward almost 2 weeks later. I asked when will I get it back, they tell me they sent it and it was signed for. That is an absolute lie, no one signed for it. I live alone, and none of my neighbors signed for it. Again HP says it's not their problem. So at this point I now have no laptop at all that I paid for. DO NOT BUY FROM HP, their products are junk and their customer service is even worse!
Bought an HP laptop it only worked three weeks and is now a 400 paperweight. Pathetic HP and decades ago a decent company. Stay away
They charged me twice for a computer I did not receive and refused to cancwl thw charges immediately. Horrible experience. Never again
Have bought 2 17 in laptops in 8 months, first one screen broke, couldn't be fixed, second one the hard drive broke, hp did not honor warranty, so no more crappy hp products in my home.
Send my 2 1/2 month ago HP LAPTOP computer to HP repair for a black screen repair. Was told the screen was cracked and had a substance on it. The screen was not cracked when I shipped to them in their packaging. The want to charge $381 for a $479 computer I got on sale for $279. Poor customer service relations, I brought HP for the last 15 years are more, I DONE WITH THEIR POOR QUALITY PRODUCTS, CUSTOMER SERVICE, AND WARRANTIES!
I am giving a friend's advice... NEVER BUY HP PRODUCTS!

You literally can't use their printers offline.
This is the most frustrating printer I ever had and believe me I will never buy HP again.
I have an all-in -one series 2600 deskjet.
The scan feature is just a complete mess. I cant scan without the account (like WHY? I dont even have control on where my documents go! Why an acount? Are they checking every document I scan!?)
So, thescan works once out of 5. Saying there is a problem and I cannot scan. I have to log out and log back in... and it not always fix the problem.
I have a color printer and there is no option to print in color. So i empty my black, never had to changed color catridge because it never gets use.
I tried to reach out but they just plainly ignore me. There is no support nor contact info. Only their ridiculous support website. Its all computer so since my problem is not common, I dont find the solution on their support page. And there is NO ONE to talk to. I found a contact after searching for some time, wrote them a polite message and I never got a word back.
They basically DONT care about their customers and their products are like a chocker around my neck. Cant work without an account. It a damn printer and I sometimes like to work offline but I just cant! Ot with HP products!
I have a good experience with hp products, I used laptop, toners, printers... etc. Most of these products have a good quality and simplicity to use.
Maybe hp laptops not better than dell laptops but for me it is ok.
Drivers keep uninstalling. I called Best Buy they won't replace the laptop. I called HP since its still in warranty and they won't replace the computer either. My only option is to send it in for repairs.
Why would I want my laptop repaired if it is under 90 days of purchase. All you will do is take away more space while all the installs. Completely ridiculous! 2 HP brand laptop will not buy another one form this company.
Only allowed to cancel order within 1 hour, even HP was unable to deliver and postposed your order to 1 month.
No Customer service, No cancellation allowed. HP only employs sales to answer your phone and will only help you submit a cancellation request. You will receive a Cancellation Not Approved reply in 5 business days from HP.
Fake their reviews. You cannot post 1 star to complain. HP will block it and not publish bad reviews on their website.

Shipping from China. The laptop was shipped from China and arrived on yesterday. I placed order on 9/9/2022 and received on 10/4/2022. I have been called twice for cancellation before order started to assembly.
About return and refund:
I don't like the laptop and requested to return on the same day I received the laptop. Unfortunately there will be 15% restocking fee for return.
I bought an HP Pavilion x 360 laptop 3 years ago and the right hinge broke connecting the screen after about 2 1/2 years of owning it. I hardly ever opened and closed the computer. I had to pay almost $200 to have this repaired. They had to replace the whole back panel. The repairman said they see a lot of this with HP computers. Wish I'd known that before I bought it. Would not recommend HPs and will never buy one again.
I purchased an INKJET M 182 printer. Afte about 2 years the printer indicated "Blocked Ink Cartridge".
I naturallyy assumed that there was a physical repair issue, so I called the Help Squad at HP.
I was informed that I was buying an "off brand" cartridge and the HP GUYS decided to shut my printer down long distance. Whe I responded by saying that I PURCHASED the printer and could insert any cartridge I wanted. SEVERAL Help Technicians informed me that HP made their money by selling ink and the Printer sales were a minor part of the business. When I asked them if I could get the printer turned back into an operable piece of equipment, they responded by saying that they could in fact make the long distant repairs If I would order my ink cartridges from them.
I told them that i Would NEVER purchase another HP product, and that their ethics were that of a Shake Down artist and THIEVES! I would NEVER be black mailed into purchasing their products again.
I was also told that this is an upgrade to their service and had the ability and right to shut down my equipment at will. I hence found out that they had done this exact same BUNKO and UNSCRUPULOUS behavior to another employee at my firm - Any one who is interested in joining in this CLASS ACTION SUIT PLEASE POST ON THIS SITE AND I WILL REACH OUT TO YOU -
It has been nothing short of a nightmare to connect the wireless printer. After hours with an IT friend that I have, it never did connect. I will never buy this brand again.
I wish that I had seen this hp site 30 days ago. I just replaced a cheap Canon Printer with this new high priced hp OFFICE JET PRO printer. Purchased on 08/25/22 from Best Buy Customer Service PIN *******946 *******. THAT WAS A HUGE MISTAKE. My old cheap Canon printer was FAR SUPERIOR than this piece of crap. I have had nothing but trouble with it and it is less that 30 days old.
30% of the time it will not work. N E V E R B U Y HP because you WILL regret it.

We live on a mountain and cell phone reception is spotty at best. My next door neighbor came over and asked if I know computers, which I do a little bit except for Ipads. I can usually figure out a problem though but this one stumped me. I called customers support and was walked through the problem. BOB'S YOUR UNCLE! Perhaps we sometimes get what we give. Remember they can get stumped too. I give this lne 4 out of five, no make that five since my neighbor is ecstatic.
I am amazed that a computer as bad as this is actually being sold. This device is to put kindly a huge piece of $#*!. I never write reviews and English is my third language but if I can stop someone from wasting their money on this god forsaken piece of $#*! device I can die happily. The devil uses this computer to piss on it. If I were in an elevator with the person who gave a green light to the mass production of this piece of $#*! and Hitler and Stalin were also there and I had two bullets I would beat the green light guy with the gun until life were to leave his eyes because a bullet is a too merciful way to go. Then I would shoot the corpse because what the $#*! why would you sell such a $#*!ing useless piece of $#*!. Shame on you I hope a piano falls on you and you have to see your loved one be lowered to a swallow grave and $#*! you.
Ordered a New printer and when it arrived it had a paper jam during set up (with no paper) Called HP for tech support and spent 2 hours on the phone. Turns out it was defective (shocker).
Was sent a "new replacement" with shipping label to return first defective printer.
Returned first printer then plugged in the replacement only to find all lights flashing on printer.
Called HP Again, sent 2 hours on the phone trouble shooting, guess what? It's also defective. Now waiting to speak to manager (its been literally 3 days) for a refund and return label for the 2nd broken printer. Have called and played phone tag with Manager for another 4 days. No direct number or extension to call, just call main number and explain situation 5 more times.
Still have broken printer and NO REFUND!
Will NEVER deal with HP Again! They're customer service is horrendous. If i could give zero stars I would.
Bought as secondary computer. Used 4-20 hrs per week. Just over 3 years old, the charger seemed not to work - replaced charger - still did not seem right -- took to tech and they said the charger was good -- the white flashing light meant something wrong with component - need to contact HP -- and they even said - don't hold your breath - you won't be able to talk to anyone and they won't help you anway --- this will be the last HP purchase that I make and I will tell this story to others
