I found HostGator through a blog by simply hatch, I had seen ads for you on other blogs to and everyone seemed super happy. I can now say that the customer service I received today, after a few issues which were entirely my own doing, was excellent, really helpful and quick to get back to me. Simple site to use just as everyone said it was.

I fixed this billing issue before coming to a foreign country to be with my son PRECISELY SO I WOULD NOT NEED TO DO IT NOW. Now you send me a threatening email because you can't autoconnect to jack $#*!, and you are asking me to review you performance!?! $#*! YOU.

When I switched over to HostGator they did not convert my existing website to HostGator. After several attempts and 2 addtional months of paying the other service just to allow HostGator more time to complete the move, it still never got done. All that information was lost.

When I began to set up my sites, nothing was working. I was getting error message on everything. Wordpress would not load... Your technicians was able to resolve most of these issues but that is how I spent my time on my first day of working on this site.

I was happy with Hostgator a few years ago but was away from website creation for a while. When I decided to come back, I opted into a company with a one-time fee for hosting, email, etc and lots of promised perks but I had one problem after another and was not able to get a website up and running. The owners all sent me promo emails for related products to buy but never any info about the hosting company itself. Support was slow and sketchy. I was so frustrated at one point that I told them by email (which was the fastest was to contact them!) that I was seriously thinking about going back to Hostgator. That didn't seem to phase them though. They had gotten my original payment so I guess that was their only purpose in advertising the hosting package. Can you tell I'm still miffed with them? Cheaper is not always better!
Anyway, I'm back hopefully for a long time with a company I'm sure will supply the service and components I need for success.
