After the unexpected death of my husband, Honda repossessed his vehicle after providing my estate attorney with incorrect information. We followed their recommendations to avoid repossession which was not successful. Not only has Honda refused to eliminate the repo costs due to their mistake, they also will not release the car although I have proof of a certified check being in the mail for the full amount of the vehicle. I have three children, a deceased husband and no car because of their inaccurate guidance. They have done NOTHING to rectify the situation. I do not recommend that anyone do business with them. If I could, I would rate them as a zero.
I purchased my Honda DEV and paid it off early. Instead of getting a title for my car I have a letter to go down and take the Lean holder off the title. When I called about this I was told that my state did that. That the state of Georgia doesn't do electronic filing. I call the title office and they said that is what the finance comp applied for. They do do electronic filing. Now I have to pay 18 more dollars to get the title transferred into my name. I paid tax TitLE AND LISCENSE. I don't see why I have to pay again. Plus they have the color listed wrong on my paperwork. I guess they hire anybody a job. Then they expect me to fix what they didn't do for free. I don't know how much Auto Nation is involved with guess mistakes
One of the worst decision I ever made about car is to lease from SouthBay Honda (now under Piercy Honda service with no change of any sort). I took my Honda Clarity lease in the year 2018.
Buying Process issues:
1. We had planned on buying and had talked to a sales executive just the day before and had finalized on the amount/color and everything. But when we went to complete the purchase pick the car on the weekend, the person we had talked to wasn't available and those in the place. Were not ready to give us that deal. But instead kept pushing the lease idea to us. After waiting for 4+ hrs on this, without even water to drink at the showroom, we just gave in
To the lease idea
Lease Return issues:
2. They told me, they will accept the car at the end of lease without much fuss. Only big dents etc will need to be mended. Now they are asking me to change tire and tire rim. I have hardly used to 23k Miles out of 36 K miles I leased for (thanks to Covid) and still Honda company is asking me to change tires. None of my friends faced this problem when returning their leased cars.
3. If you call Honda Financial service call center, good luck. They don't respond for hours.
4. I was told they treat you very different if you were to take a new lease under Honda.
Overall Guys, please avoid this place and Honda if you want to lease vehicle. They just rip you and leave you with worst experience you would have faced.
Starting from Leasing to returning everything is a bad experience
If I could give them 0 stars I would. My mom had a stroke and I took over her payments due to Covid I was a couple months behind. They would not let me negotiate a different payment. Only these cowards repo your car during the pandemic, no one else. They should be shut down. I'll never do business with them again!
Website is horrible, whatever you click on doesn't work. It asks for your loan, lease or vin number something you won't have with you verses security questions or the last 4 of your social security number. Don't even think you'll get someone on the phone. I left work, stopped at the store and drove home all while waiting for someone to pick up the phone then was disconnected. Don't pay and then you'll have someone on the phone.
After purchasing a 45.000.00 certified used Acura mdx from them a f paying off the car after 60 months necessary they didnt even have the decency to send me a title for the proof of clean title and instead told me to go to the dmv and purchase one, I bought a car from them 10 years ago also and they like other dealerships used to do this, I had to now due to covid schedule a appt that took 3 weeks an a day off work to also pay 20.00 to the dmv that was surprised they never sent me 1 and is now sending me what they call a duplicate. NEVER again will I purchase a vehicle from these crabs
I have had nothing but frustration in setting up ezpay. Twice I filled out the form and mailed it. They never got it. If you call to ask a live person about it you are on hold a minimum of 45 minutes. I tried to set up the payment online and it wouldn't let me complete the form. Help!
When you lease ends, either you lease another Honda without any problems. If you surrender the car they will rip you off for normal wear and tear. They expect the return of the car to be in showroom condition. They are charging me $2646. 86 in normal wear and tear to return the car. They are charging me for the 2 tires which had normal use for duration of the lease. The are charging me for not noticeable scratches / dents. I would not recommend anybody to lease from Honda ever again.
They cashed a payment of mine for over 9000. 00 and posted it to the wrong account. They tell me I have to prove it.? I sent the copy of the cleared check with their bank information on the back. They claim I have to located where the check was posted and contact that person to request they return it... How is that ever possible
Their website is a problematic nightmare. Constantly making you change your
Information and password to where I don't even know whats up anymore. What is this, Fort Knox?
When "Re-registering" which i have done three times this year, they force you to give them a new email... I don't have any other email addresses!?!?! I'm out...
You can't get them by phone - EVERYTHING WITH THEM IS THE RUNAROUND... AROUND AND AROUND ON THE PHONE - AROUND AND AROUND ON THE SITE...
And don't get me started on the Sales person who sold me the car to begin with. They do not look out for you AT ALL. Its all about them. Nothing about you. They are professional at what they do - They make money - Customers are treated like a number. Run - Just run and don't look back.
I can't even pay my car payment online or by phone - The hours I have spent jacking with their systems
Is unbelievable... Who's running this thing anyway?
For a company that claims to have military appreciation I am beyond disgusted with their customer service and their belittling of me when I asked for them to remove a late payment because I was deployed and my auto pay wasn't set up properly. The supervisor I spoke to told me I should stop seeking special treatment because of my military service.
After 9 years leasing with Honda Financial Service they send me a Lease-End Balance Statement for $1701. 30. The most ridiculous charge was for using the tires of the car, $735.00, they expect that you fly, not to drive because and the end of 3 year your tires needs to be like new. They don't ever consider that I add accessories to the car as the roof rails and town pack and paid extra for them. The $350 disposition fee after 9 years leasing are unfair. Also you will pay sale tax fee over the disposition fee, wear and damage fees, excess mileage fee... tax fee over intangible fees?. They don't have any option to do a dispute o submit a complain. The only option is to negotiate with a representative on the phone, or after 120 day they will report you to the Credit Bureau and ripped your credit.
AVOID lease with this institution because at the end of the lease they will charge you with thousands of dollar if you decided to abandon the brand...
I payed off for my 2015 Honda Accord Touring on July 23/2020 & I have not hear from Honda financial services. Since that day. I call them about my Title released several times they put me on a hold time of 45min to 60 min til I finally got to speak to someone at the customer when I ask her about my Title I only hear the phone hang up on me. I call back several days & spoke to James M. Who was very nice to me when I explain my situation to him I was at my job at that time & he told me if I have a Fax machin he would fax me a official paid off in full letter. I ask my Boss & he gave me his fax # which I gave James & he fax me the letter which I have in my possession he also told me that my Title rerelease is in the mail so I can take it to motor vehicles Department so they can send me my new title with my Name alone & get the lien off. Until this day 8/9/20 I have not received nothing & them they try to mess my credit up with all three Credit Bureaus sending a bad report that my account closed my credit score dropped way down. I will be calling Channel 7 & report & Iam going to my Congress man with this letter. I will also forward this letter to all three credit Bureaus I wil never recommend Hondafinancial Services to any one..
Never had as horrible experience with a car financing company as i did with Honda Financial. I am an Illinois resident and bought a Honda Civic in Arizona. Both the dealership( Surprise Honda) and Honda Financial have given me incorrect, inadequate information as to how to apply for Illinois plates. The wait times for customer service at Honda Financial were never less that 45 minutes, at which time calls got dropper and i needed to start all over with another 45 minute wait. When finally getting through, the person would give me WRONG INFORMATION and i would wait for them to send me something in the mail that would take a week and then it would be A USELESS DOCUMENT and not what I needed to get the plates. The dealership was just as clueless and never steered us in the right direction. After spending 6 weeks trying to get the right info, i am now about to have the temporary plates expire! HORRIBLE EXPETIENCE!
I WISH I CAN GIVE A MINUS STAR. THIS IS THE WORST COMPANY EVER. I AM TRYING TO GET A LEASE ASSUMPTION DONE OVER 2 AND HALF MONTHS AGO. THE PERSON HAS BEEN APPROVED SINCE THE END OF MAY AND UNTIL TODAY THIS PROCESS CANNOT FINISH. I HAVE BEEN CALLING ALMOST EVERY DAY AND IT'S A DIFFERENT STORY EVERY TIME. THESE PEOPLE ONLY CARED ABOUT GETTING THEIR MONEY NO REGARDS FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS. NO ONE EVER RETURN YOUR CALLS. THIS IS MY LAST TIME WITH THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE RIDICULOUS!
I have two Honda's. My last payment on my accord this month June 2020. I missed one payment on 2O18 civic. I have never been late on a payment before on anything. With the whole pandemic thing and then my mom gets cancer. I'm dealing with all this stuff I'm human. I just forgot. I never got a call or email nothing to let me know I has missed it. Then when I realized I did I paid it immediately and the next payment too. They refused to remove it from my credit report. I explained the situation to them. They seen I had a good history. Y credit score was in the 800s when I bought the car. They refused to remove it. I'm done with Honda. I will never buy a Honda again. Don't be fooled buy the commercials the helpful Honda people. They are anything but. In 35 years I have never had a late payment on anything and now this one late payment is dropping my credit score. Hopefully it won't hurt it to much. Don't deal with Honda they are awful.
I am a disabled veteran and I receive my VA benefits on the 1st of every month. My due date is the 19th. I have asked for my due date to be changed several times to the 1st. They tell me because my account is past due they can't make that change until I bring my account current. I made a payment on the 29th and no late fee was on the account when I paid. I called today thinking my account is current and they tell me they can't change it still because of a past due amount of 17.03. Are you serious? I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM AT ALL. THEY DONT WORK FOR YOU THEY WORK AGAINST YOU! I FEEL LIKE SENDING THEM MY HONDA BACK AND SAY F. U. HONDA! PTSD LOL
I have been with HFS for TWENTY years. I had purchased two vehicles and leased 5! During the COVID-19 crisis, I was recently late on a payment. In TWENTY years, I had NEVER been late on a payment, and yet, they were totally unforgiving. I was 30 days late and they immediately reported it to Experian. They were totally unforgiving. They state on their website that they are there to help customers who are facing hardship through COVID-10, but apparently not customers who have been making business with them this long!
$#*!ing horrible and disgusting people. They charge you for things you already paid for then don't give your money back. It's been 2 years trying to get my money back I $#*!ing hate them and I hope they all die all of them $#*!ing burn in hell. Ducking grieve of $#*!s
So I had 2 auto loans. Things got rough and was unable to keep one. Matt who works for Northern California Honda Financial kept calling me. I said come get it, I can't afford it. He said "No, I will not lose out on $10,000 you will figure this out!" Well I couldn't figure it out so he calls my GM at work and tells him to get me to pay for the car. He jeopardized my job! So they get the car finally after me telling him to come get it for months now. Matt takes that money that is owed and puts it on my other car loan, which is illegal. I called him out on it and threw a fit because of the way he is doing business. Kid you not, a month after that I come out to find my other car gone. Matt had that one repoed too for what? Good question. I called and said what is going on. They said well you're late, I said no I paid December 20th. They said well if you want your car back you'll need to pay your payment and repo, storage fees etc. I said what will that be and was told $1391. So this Matt guy went out of his way to make sure I got punished because he lost out on $10k so he took both cars one of which is in good standing. I'm seeking legal advise now and will make sure Matt doesn't work for Honda ever again.
