HireMyMom is AMAZING!
September 18, 2019

Honestly, I don't know where I would be in the "Work from Home" world without HireMyMom. This site is perfect for my job searching needs and it's easy to upload resumes and cover letters. I love that all you have to do is apply for a job with your uploaded resume and click submit. From there you wait to hear if you would be a good fit for the company who posted the job. I love doing phone interviews as well. It's all legit and I wouldn't trade a thing. They are my go-to site for all work from home jobs.

I have nothing but good things to say about HireMyMom.com. When I started my work from home career in 2018, I was able to find quality jobs. This year, I have hired VAs to help me run my own business. I feel that HireMyMom does a great job of vetting businesses and recruiting highly qualified candidates. I love the new membership changes as well. Thank you for a great site!

I first used HireMyMom back in 2011 and got my first two clients as a Virtual Assistant using the site. I landed both clients after only two months using the site. I went on to use it to gain more clients after that. Thanks to the start I got using it, I was able to job in January of 2013 and only work as a Virtual Assistant. One thing I really loved is that most clients on there know you are a mom so you also have family duties, no having to explain to clients you don't work 24/7. I am so grateful I came across this site! I will say too, you must take time to write great proposals, that is why many VA's never hear from clients. They don't clearly address how they can help the client but rather talk about experience that doesn't apply.

Thank you Sara! We love hearing success stories like yours!
And great tip on addressing how you as the candidate can help the client and expressing that in your cover letter or proposal. We have several blogs on this too to help our members enhance their resume, cover letters and job hunting skills.

I LOVE HireMyMom! I've been using this site on and off to find freelance opportunities (I even found a client there I've been with for 3 years!) since I decided to work from home full time almost 4 years ago. I love it. I've never had any issues canceling my subscription. I just go to my paypal account and cancel it from there. I've had nothing but pleasant experiences with the HireMyMom team and the clients I've interviewed with. I recommend this site to all the new moms I know who want to start working from home.

While this site does seem to post legitimate job offers that are adaptable for work from home mothers... you are lucky if you ACTUALLY get to apply for them. The site has numerous glitches, the service is TERRIBLE and the once you cancel, even if it's just mere days into your membership - they take your money and run. They never answer the office phones, so technical problems can only be submitted by their email and it takes them DAYS to respond. They also do things like changing your membership without permission, which of course, costs you money. The site also advertises that it is a boutique for those who want to work from home - but many of the positions require travel and for you to be in the office at their location and still consider you a 1099 contract employee (which means you are taxed both as self-employed and then on income taxes - thus reducing your pay). You are better off spending your time, your money and your hope for working from home on other sites and freelance work. HireMyMom.com is nothing but a bait and switch to get your money!

Hi Kelly,
I am sorry about the issues you had with your account, for your frustration and that we could not correct the issue with your resume prior to the job(s) you were interested in closing. As we mentioned in our email, we recently redeveloped our site to a new platform and in migrating 12 years of data (over 1 million files), we have had some migration and technical glitches that we are working through.

We respond promptly to all emails and voicemails either the same day or the next day and if you contacted us prior to the email we responded to, your original call(s) or email(s) did not get to us. Were you sending them through the “Contact Us” page? We did return your call but your voicemail was full which you apologized for in your return email to us. I’m sorry you found our service to be "terrible" but I can promise you it was not because we don't respond or care, it's because we had not received anything from you prior to the message we did respond to.

You requested a partial refund since you had some technical issues with your resume and my assistant refunded your payment fully for the period you had used so that it would not cost you anything for the time that you had problems with your account. We have not taken any of your money. I'm not sure what you mean by that or that we somehow are "bait and switch". I am a Christian and I do my best to operate my business with honesty and integrity.

As I mentioned in my email to you, we would be happy to give you a complimentary membership to come back and try the service afresh.

As for the positions requiring travel, the majority of jobs on HireMyMom are 100% remote but there are some job posted by businesses who are looking for someone local to have occasional meetings. We require jobs to be at least 50% home based to be posted on our site. You can review some of the recent job postings here: www.hiremymom.com/new-jobs and see that most are 100% remote.

We really do strive to have a great service for moms and small businesses to connect and create long-term virtual working relationships. We're not perfect and obviously our website is not with some of the technical glitches we've had with this migration. It’s true you can’t please everyone, but we certainly try. And we are very grateful that we have lots of happy members who have found great candidates and great jobs.

Once again our apologies for the technical issues you experienced and for the frustration. Let us know if we can set you up a complimentary account.

With apologies,
Lesley Pyle,

HireMyMom was great. I found a professional VA to work with. When we started I only had about 5 hours per week of work. Having someone who was a full time mom who didn't need to depend on me for a full time income was what allowed me to get started. It's also allowed my VA to be able to stay home with her two boys. We've been working together for about 3 years now and it's been a great experience for us both.

I'm so glad I found the HireMyMom site and that I was able to find such a great VA.

Without exaggeration, I have had the opportunity to hire and work with literally hundreds of freelancers and assistants over the past 18+ years. I have also used more than a dozen services and platforms for hiring team members.

I'm thrilled that I found my favorite administrative Rockstar through HireMyMom.com. The caliber of the applicant pool on HireMyMom.com was far more skilled, experienced, and professional than any other resource that I have used before. Plus, the process of putting out an ad and getting responses was super easy.

I have and will continue recommending HireMyMom.com to folks looking for remote assistance for their teams or businesses.

I love Hire My Mom! I used the site several years ago to find a work from home job, not thinking it would really go anywhere. I tried probably 4-5 sites before HMM and I didn't have much luck at all. The jobs were either too technical, still required in-person work, or required too many hours. I was looking for part- time work and I was able to find tons of applicable postings. I'm really happy that I found this site, and I will always go back to it if I need to fill in some freelance hours. I've had most of my original jobs from several years ago to this day! It's a great place to find legitimate home based jobs, and they cover many industries, pay well, and have postings from professional people. Thank you, Hire My Mom!

It's always nerve wracking to try something new, and Hire My Mom, was something new for me! I took a leap of faith, and it has given me so many opportunities, that I would have never been able to find otherwise. I initially signed up seeking ONE part time job, after 7 months of being a member, I now have FOUR! All of which are still enough to consider me as a part time worker AND I still get to be at home with my son! It's fantastic for moms who just want something to do during the down time ( even though some days that's impossible!) Highly recommend!

I cannot emphasize enough how satisfied I am with hiremymom.com. This is an awesome resource - being able to find great work at home opportunities. Hiremymom caters to moms only accepting projects that are at least 50% home-based. I have had such success using the site that I cannot take on more clients at the moment.

I've now hired 4 moms from HireMyMom and it's been an A+ experience every single time. I am amaaazed with the quality of talent all found on HireMyMom - it's like a treasure trove of amazing, skilled people!

In fact, I love HireMyMom so much, I wrote a blog post about it on my website: http://www.profitfactory.com/the-best-place-to-hire-vas-and-it-aint-elance/

I've hired virtual staff for over 5 years now, and HireMyMom is the best of them all, by far, for Virtual Assistants. If I need a really specific skill (e.g. Copywriting, website design), I'll usually go elsewhere, but if you need someone to be an Executive Assistant, Marketing Assistant, Marketing Coordinator, Sales Support staff, Admin, Scheduling, Project Manager, or any of dozens of other positions, look no further than Hire My Mom. It's a bounty of incredible talent unmatched anywhere.

(And the talent is affordable too - under $20/hour and you can get *excellent* team members, very polished from their past lives in corporate / professional America).

Thank-you Leslie for your INCREDIBLE website and service. My business is light-years ahead of where we would have been, thanks to you and your team.

Tim:)

P. S, Hiring VAs is a learnable skill, just like anything else. If someone got a bad VA from HMM, or anywhere else for that matter, it's at least 50% the employer's fault for being inadequately skilled at hiring. I used to be incompetent at it and lost $10K on another VA service. Now I'm good at it and VAs are the heartbeat of my business.

As a SAHM I was looking for something to do to help bring in a little extra $ for my budget. I found HMM and loved the idea of a website specifically geared towards at home moms. After about 2 weeks I found an ad that I thought was the perfect fit for me. 18 months later... I'm so thankful for HMM connecting us.

I have told several people about HMM and even helped my employer hire an additional assistant using HMM. As with nearly every situation, there are going to be good and bad people who sneak through the filters, but if you use wisdom and sound judgment, you can typically find what you are looking for.

Outstanding!

I have been having great difficulty finding qualified, experienced hires and have found a goldmine on hiremymom.com. I put up two job postings and had a number of qualified applications for each in 1 day. Exactly what I was hoping for... ladies with years of relevant experience looking for meaningful, flexible work.

Great resource, especially if you have virtual / flexible work engagements.

Couldn't be worse
February 3, 2015

Couldn't be worse. Spoke with Woman once, spent a full weekend prepareding video and email instructions. She wanted to be paid up front, and I never heard from her again. Called to complain and no help. HATE THIS GROUP. Do not use them. 65$ an hour and did zero work, stole all my money and laughed about it.

We make every effort to only allow professionals with integrity and professionalism to post and find jobs on HireMyMom.com. Not many work from home jobs actually. If you are a mom that wants to stay home with your children then this is not the site for you. Also, once you cancel, even if it's two days into the 3 months you paid for... you are out. They keep the money and you cannot log in. More of a site for freelance workers. Ie graphic designers

I tried a few sites to find freelance work and this one was well worth the membership. The only reason I no longer have a membership is because I have plenty of work and a long-term gig. Their customer service is also top notch and when they find out that something was misrepresented, they act immediately. I highly recommend them to any mom looking for freelance projects.

I just wanted to update that another friend of mine got a long-term virtual assistant job through a posting on HireMyMom. My long-term gig lasted 4.5 years. I'm so grateful for HireMyMom for helping me find that opportunity. HIGHLY recommend them!

I have used several websites to hire people to work from home. This is the only one I've found that isn't loaded up with scams - this one is the real deal. 90% of the responses I've received are from real individual freelancers who are looking for real work.
