I LOVE this company! I have used Monterey Bay Herb Co. For 5-years. I have purchased several varieties of herbs and teas blends. They offer organic, whole, cut & sifted, and powder options for many of their products. Organic is very important to me. The quality is 5-stars across the board! I'm a big fan of Chai tea and have used many brands, but Monterey BEATS them all. For example, many brands add more black tea into their chai tea and skimp out on the higher quality herbs like cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, allspice, cloves, and black pepper. Monterey provides the perfect balance for this warm, spicy, and aromatic tea. Highly recommend!

In reviewing my cart I found problems, ones that continued again with redoing the contents as to correct quantities and this time it included a change in product specified--from desired powder to sliced--and, for a third time, again a quantity issue. As such, their cart appears to be designed to add items and change, too, specifications and is not trustworthy and items need to be reviewed several times before completing order.
Next, although the order for a pound of rosemary was added successfully and paid for, without notification it was suddenly no longer available--but hey, it was in my cart and not sold out, so why the disappearing act?--the four-items I had added to the only truly desired organic powdered rosemary, 1 lb, were shipped; and there was no seamless way to get on their "its back in stock" list, requiring two-emails to establish this.
Lastly, none of the descriptions include "country of origin" designations, and none are found on the labels of the four-items received.
In my experiences with other companies, I expect to be notified about out-of-stock items so as to be allowed to cancel my order or delay it until missing item is available; and every other company indicates country of origin.
These experiences have led to my questioning their claim "organic."

My shipment was lost and they quickly replaced it.

I have used MBHco more and more in lieu of other wholesalers. Better prices, availability, and selection.

Monterey Bay Herb Co has made it SO EASY to buy tea in bulk for use in my home. Before I found this website I struggled so much to buy large quantities of loose leaf tea for my at home cold brews. With Monterey Bay Herb Co I now have access to high quality loose leaf tea at a very reasonable price compared to the stuff I was finding at my local grocery stores. HIGHLY recommend!
