I didn't check my account and forgot to cancel the subscription. I got charged 15 dollars for these horrible blades and on top of it my girlfriend threw away the stick. Can't blame her though she obviously notice I never used them. Shaving your neck with these razors is painful and you won't forget the experience.
I have to say that I am pleasantly pleased and surprised at the nice shave I just got. I tend to look at the negative reviews just to get a flavor of the faults that some seem to find. I take them with a grain of salt until I can prove to myself the worth of any product.
As some had mentioned, it seems that you have to find the best angle for your self in order to get the best shave.
I find that getting the razor positioned properly while shaving does help immensely. If you arent gliding with the lubrication strip to take the drag out you are probably not shaving to produce the best results.
I have a full beard and only shave my neck beneath the beard line every other day. I found the shave to be clean and smooth using the shave gel (only takes a small amount)
I got used to the battery power/vibration of the Gillette Fusion. Might be nice to introduce that as an upgrade at some point.
No irritation thus far but we shall see tomorrow.
Im tired of paying high prices for razors that only last a few shaves
**Tip: run the razor backwards up your arm in the opposite direction of shaving to strop and hone the blade. Keep it dry. It works**
When I began using Harrys razor blades several years ago I found them of equal quality to the Gillette blades I have been using for over 50 years - with the exception that Harrys blades lacked a trimmer.
Because Harrys blades now come with a trimmer I purchased an eight pack in March of this year, and I use the first blade about a month ago resulting in cuts on my face that had - in my memory - never happened with Gillette products. Thinking I might have picked a bad blade out of the eight, I selected another one and the same thing happened again - cuts and bleeding. When I tried returning the blades to my local Target store they said they couldnt take them back due to the duration of the purchase. My advice is to steer clear of Harrys blades with tremors.

When I first started using Harrys razor and blades they were adequate at best. As time went on their quality went downhill fast. Dont know if they changed their supplier but the quality of the blades was awful. Stuck with them for a while but I saw no improvement. Started out getting 5 to 6 shaves with one blade, but eventually had a hard time getting even one good shave per blade. Cancelled my membership and went back to using the Gillette fusion power razor. I am now getting 12 to 15 shaves with one blade. In the long run, the Gillette razor is a much better deal. WOULD NOT recommend anyone wasting their hard earned money on Harrys razors. The quality of their products is awful. Remember the old adage You get what you pay for. It definitely applies in this case.
The products are sub standard and their customer service is appalling. After I had requested to cancel (cancellation at any time being such a BIG part of their marketing), they responded to me with a very informal email, proceeded to send their goods and charge me regardless. Upon pointing this out to them they responded in a cocky and self-righteous manner as if to say they don't make mistakes and they are supremely professional. The customer service moron I was dealing with (Joe, if that's his real name) couldn't even spell his colleagues name correctly after three email correspondences. Utter waste of time and money. Bunch of cowboys!

Have been using Harry's for about 2 months and I am very pleased with the shave, price of blades and overall experience with Harry's. The blades last as long as any other blades I have ever used, including Gillette.
These men are selling cheap blunt blades and they are more expensive than Gillette, my Gillette blades cost £8 for four, yet if I want these harry's blades, it costs me £10.45 for four with postage for an astonishingly bad shaving experience, and yet they have the front to start their advert with (WHY DO RAZORS COST SO MUCH) and then charge a higher price than I pay for Gillette... all I can say is WOW
Sorry about that Shane. If you order any product over £10 you will receive free shipping. Please send us a private message, we would like to turn your experience around.
Could not be more disappointed, but I guess it should have been expected. When anything costs so little, you get what you pay for.
Marketing is the only thing this company has going for it, because its products are literally trash.
I was an early adapter of Harry's; the original blades they made when the company started were superb. I could use them for a month without nicks or cuts and I have a very coarse beard. Then they made the "new and improved" blades: the ones that come with a built in trimmer: they are terrible: they rust out after a few days and they cut skin very easily. All the recent reviews, at least during 2017, are of this new blade. Obviously when Harry's went big (and to mass markets like Target) they compromised their quality and relied on their start-up reputation. Not sure if the original owners out literally or just figuratively. I bought up all the original blades I could find and have a stock for several years. After than I will look for a new razor. BTW: DO NOT waste money on the heavier "chrome" handle:" it's cheap metal with a chrome finish or plating that peeled off after a year or so. Sad decline. Their shaving gel is still the best, however.
First of all the good bit. The whole Harry's experience does take you back to the good ol' barbershop days. There is a manly flair about what they do that I like actually like a lot. Everything is very nicely packaged, you can pick a colour, so far so good. Until you start shaving...
First of all the Gel, which does smell really nice, is actually a foam. To me this is important as a gel sticks much better to facial hairs and thus softens them much better. I started shaving and the experience was not great and I thought it could be the gel,... sorry foam. I tried the next day with a proper (Gillette) gel and whilst that was better the shave was still poor.
I think that its for the following reasons:
1) The blades are just too flimsy
2) The tip of the holder actually bends, rather than being stiff. As you apply pressure to shave, it pushes the top of the blade away from your skin. To compensate you have to apply even more pressure, and you ultimately end up holding the razor at a 90 degree angle to your face. Razors HAVE to be 100% stiff and swivel, not bend.
3) the lubricating strip is too thin, disappears to quickly so after 2 or 3 shaves you get that horrible boring sensation. You'll be going through a lot of blades, quickly!
Overall, good marketing, bad razor. I'll stick with my Wilkinson Sword Hydra, 5 blades. I can easily get 3 weeks, 5-7 shaves per week, out of that thing. I tried Gilette, I now tried Harry's, but that is still by far the best and most economical shave.
Decent razor, the fun starts when you TRY to cancel. Good luck with that. It's THEFT, plain & simple. $15. Multiple attempts to cancel, hoop jumping to get it reversed, then they do it AGAIN. Think about how many times they get away with it., 1000's x $15 = REAL MONEY. Class action candidate.
Bob you can cancel at any time right from your account page. If you still need help, send us a private message and we will take care of you.
I tried the Truman, got cut on the second shave but put it down to getting used to a larger razor head. Cut made worse on the third shave and on the fourth (and last) a large chunk of my face landed in the basin.
The Truman was quickly smashed and disposed of.
I have had a better shave from a disposable Bic.
Cheap is not the financial cost on this product but the quality.
Worse blades I have ever used, never had so many nicks from a blade since I started shaving over 50 years ago.
They need to check their honing machine and their quality control.
I've tried many razors, I have a huge stash of handles in my bathroom cabinet. Gillette, Wilkinson Sword, Cornerstone and many other brands. The only ones worse were a supermarket own brand set. The worst thing is when shaving my neck it slips across my skin, not shaving meaning I need to go over it several times. I also cut my self on the second use. I have a good skin care routine, I prepare my skin before shaving and as a result I never cut myself unless the razor is really blunt. Do yourself a favour and invest in a cCornerstone subscription. They're a far superior razor.
I'm 74 years of age. I have always used a wet shave. For most of my life I used a Gillette safety then maybe 20 years ago stopped to the Gillette Mach 3 which was a compromise. Recently the blades have increased in price and certainly don't last as long. So I sent for 'Free Trial' with Harry. It arrived in 2 days and what an incredibly comprehensive and professional package it was. Not only does it feel right in the hand it does a superb job. The absolute bonus is the extra blade on the back to trim under the nose and the sideburns. Simple but pure genius. I've waited all my life for such a user friendly razor. I recommended 'Harry' to my sons a two of them have tried them and agree with me. The whole online offer and presentation is a brilliant lesson in direct marketing which in this case is backed up with a brilliant product at a very competitive price. Thank you 'Harry' you have made my daily chore much more pleasurable efficient and simple.
I shave every day unless I'm camping/backpacking. I'm old enough to have used two edge blades, single edged "injector" (Shick and Gillette, even Persona?) and two, three, four..., bladed of all brands. My very first shave with a Harry's blade seemed to require some adjustment on my part, perhaps due to a slightly different angle of the blades? Ever since I have enjoyed the best, smoothest and most shares per blade of any other I've tried.
The worst shave ever I would sooner use a blunt gillette blade than a new Harry's blade.
One review said about cutting himself you always cut yourself with a blunt blade.
I tried these new blades a few months back. I have been shaving my head and face for over 20 years. The second or third time I used this blade it made a deep cut in my head. I still have the scar and the pictures. Will never use these again.
Really pleased I didn't read the negative reviews before ordering the trial for Harry's razor. They would have put me off and I would have missed a great shaving experience. Harry's blades last for 14 shaves at least, that's twice as long as Boots Max Shave that I had been using before! One review called Harry, s razor 'flimsy' It's not flimsy but flexible! Following the contours of you face. Someone else complained about cuts to their face - I don't know how he managed that!
My advice is to go for the free trial it's worth the experience and if you don't like Harry you can go back to your great clumping Gillette
Answer: Great question, Tony! Blade lifespan will definitely vary a bit based on your particular hair type, shave schedule, and blade care habits. While there's no exact standard for how long a cartridge will last you, we find that the average person likes to replace blades every 6-8 shaves. The idea is that our blades are durable and will last a long time, at a great price.
Answer: The new blades are not as smooth as the old ones and you cannot buy the old ones anymore.
Answer: Absolutely! There are lots of women who use our razors so we'd definitely encourage you to give them a try.
Answer: I had a problem with that when I first got them and found out that I wasn't pusing them on the handle far enough. Also if you hold too close to the blade and choke up on the handle too much your fingers tend to push the blades off. When I held back further on the handles... no worries. Since I changed those two things, I don't have that problem.
Answer: Because when they changed the design of the blade by adding the trimmer, the blade lost its smooth shaving quality, life of the blade and no burn feeling. Now it burns after the shave, blade does not last that long and all you are left with is a cheap blade. If they bring back there 1st generation blades back, I will be the first one to buy them and give back my business to Harry's for LIFE!
