Tech things can be so nebulous and short-lived. You find a useful site but it goes away after a few years and you have to find another. It the ephemeral nature of the internet. I have been following the publication since its earliest days on Medium. I followed them because there were tech how-to articles of great utility as well as insights into what the future held. I am quite pleased to see they have successfully transitioned off of Medium to stand on their own. I have been coding for decades and understand the great value of a publication like this. A place where coders show the code they write, but also where they WRITE WORDS. It is the 21st century, so if you want to know what is happening and more importantly what is GOING to happen, go to the place where coders tell you what they are up to and what they think will happen next. And they do all of this for free! That is why I have no proof of purchase, but I do upload my Linkedin profile as proof of my decades as a coder. https://www.linkedin.com/in/anthony-watson-332ab714/

Better version of Medium
November 4, 2020

As an avid Medium reader I am delighted to discover something that goes deeper into technical and tech topics. Great place for writers and place to highlight and showcase tech content, overall would recommend this over Medium for technology enthusiasts!

Love the green!
October 29, 2020

I've been reading the publication since early 2016 and loving their aesthetics & brilliant design choices so far. Simple things like the highlighter green whenever you hover over an anchor text, or their recent choice to put the rainbow underline in writers' profile. Subtle but effective! Keep it up, team Hacker Noon!

I write A LOT of articles, usually for money, but none of them give me a buzz like when Hacker Noon sends me an email to say my latest story was published. And when it comes to support, Richard Kubina is a superstar. Thanks, Hacker Noon!

I like hacker noon because the team is quite open to post all kinds of stories. As long as the content is good, they've even allowed affiliate links as long as the author posts full disclosure. They are pushing towards a free blogging space for tech enthusiasts, that has more renown and recognition than posting your own blog on Medium or Wordpress. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

No Support
August 17, 2020

They just ignore their support email, leave people's articles with no review for days on end. Serious waste of time trying to contribute a nice looking blog. False advertisers be warned.

My story with Hackernoon begins 2 years ago. With the latest updates, they give me an ability to drive my readers to my personal website and it's cool to see traffic coming. Now I'm publishing my new articles on Hackernoon only.
