Simply do favor to your self and use other free tools such as Microsoft Word.

This is useless and expensive. And it makes your writing have no sense.

I really do love Grammarly, and it helps me in my calling as a Missionary in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Employment Services. Most of my work is done on resumes and cover letters for job applications. Grammarly helps me make sure spelling, grammar, etc., are good before anything is sent out to potential employers. I do understand that Grammarly needs to make money, but wish I could get more information without paying (I'm old and retired).

A great app. I am truly impressed by it. Even though visible, its functions in a quite subtle way. Even as I am writing this review of my experience it is correcting my English. Truly, a great tool.

I am not a native English speaker, I learned English as the language of communication as I progressed through my years of schooling.
When school ends, English speaking also ends as we communicate in our mother tongue and local languages.

That is why being employed and trying to now communicate in English is mentally draining and is always a stop-start, think, formulate, read, write, rewrite experience.
Many of the people I know give up their education and opportunities to seek employment just because of the fear of being put down because of their poor English.
Grammarly is like having my own personal English tutor correcting and guiding me along. It mentally frees my mind as my thoughts, energy and ideas flow freely. Thank You

So Grammarly is an extension you can add to your browsers that works a lot like auto-correct on a phone. It's meant to help you correct errors when typing, but like auto-correct, it causes a lot of errors as well and gives recommendations that go past wrong, keeps going, and stop somewhere near Singapore before realizing it's a moron.

I think the idea for it is great, but it's clear that whoever programs it either isn't great at programming or they're a little too good at huffing rubber cement.

As a writer, I oftentimes think faster than I can type, so the result is some garble that sounds like your drunken neighbour Farbor after a three-week binge on rum and paint thinner. Wait... Is Farbor a name?

But like birds yodeling, it happens. So I like that Google Docs will give me recommendations for minor mistakes I've made. Grammarly is a nice secondary 'mistake catcher,' but some of the recommendations it gives me makes me think back to the time I got hit in the head with a hammer and called my dentist to ask for directions to The Gap. True story. Well, except for the last part... And the middle part... And the first part...

I was told the paid version of Grammarly is better, which is what I have, and quite frankly, I've found both the paid and free versions to be about the same. Overall, it 'can' be a helpful app for minor things and if English isn't your first language, but other than that, you might get further having your cat proofread for you. I mean, unless you're more of a dog person.
