I don't write perfectly the first time. I use point form. I write $#*!ty first drafts. I stop midsentence and make a note somewhere else to address later. Grammarly gets in the way. It pops up with annoying notes that I didn't ask for about text that I know is not perfect -- it's not meant to be. I'd like to just use it at the end when my draft is done, not have it jumping in front of grasping for my attention while I'm drafting.
The yellow highlights that remainon the page because they are behind a paywall can be very distracting and make it difficult to proof read on my own. Sometimes I turn it off to remove the noise and distraction on the screen.
For free, the tool is very good. However, the G that floats around is ALWAYS in the WAY and slows me down. I have thought several times about deleting your application, but it's really helpful.

Grammarly is a very helpful tool that allows you to continue learning grammar while you write your e-mails or any kind of text, also it's an amicable system.
When I first started using the free version of Grammarly, I had the option of when I wanted to have the program show me how to rewrite a certain sentence. As soon as I created an account and signed in, that stopped, and I can't turn it off. It's annoying to have the only three chances I have for that help wasted because I chose to go back on my own to change something and a pop up takes the opportunity away from me. Also, online it comes up in a search as a free plagiarism checker. That's not the case, it's a service that has to be paid for. It's not worth my time to use it. I turn it off every chance I get.

There's a lot of advantage of using grammarly but honestly after using it about a year or so I started to use chatgpt instead, grammarly could help me build a better text and sentences but sometimes it feels just a bit too bland
I'm mostly using the free version, so I don't know about the premium version or the ai version, but all in all chatgpt are more reliable for me at this point.
I like having the Grammarly tool, but it slows down my browser, especially when it's active in Google docs. And it's not easy to temporarily turn off Grammarly on a given page.
