This was a small order for one item and that may be the cause for the two issues I had. One issue was that I did not receive an email with the tracking number when the order was charged on the card (could have gone to SPAM so I will never know if it was sent or not). The bigger issue was that once I did get the tracking number information I discovered that the item did not ship until three days after the charge went through my bank.
The long delay between charging and shipping would give me pause on ordering again but since this was a small item and I did end up receiving it, I have to let it go as just an anomaly. Customer service did respond the same day for the requested tracking information so that leads me to believe that this order just fell a little bit off from the normal track record.
My first order was received damaged unknown until opened.
Gordon electric promptly replaced my order upon my notifying them of the issue.
I will let all of my friends know of the excellent customer service.
I discovered Gordon Electric during a Google search. It happened to carry a hard to find item that I needed for a project. I found the website easy to navigate and the check-out process straightforward and quick.
This was easy and cost effective.
Didn't see the $5.00 coupon code deducted from the order confirmation page. Disappointed
I ordered on line and the charge hit my credit card, but I didn't receive any indication on delivery schedule until I called.
I've never received such poor service in all of my experience shopping on the Internet! I placed an order on Wednesday, Mar-19th. Normally when you place an online order, you are sent an email describing when you can expect delivery and when your order has been sent. After 5 days patiently waiting and not having received any correspondence from Gordon Electrical Supply whatsoever, I emailed them on Monday, March-24-14. I received no response. So 2 days later on Wednesday, March-26-14 I emailed them again. They finally contacted me on the 8th day after my order was placed for the first time to tell me that there was a problem getting the items from the manufacturer. I find this strange as when I placed my order my 2 items were listed as "in stock." The least they could have done would have been to notify of the delay in shipment immediately.
Answer: They offer refunds but will scam you of your time -- they put literally every electrical part to ever exist on their website and sell it to you... then they try and order it from the manufacturer. They sell you items that they don't have.
