I am a business owner since over 25 years and the last 3 years have been the worst on google. It seems it is a complaining website where people go if they want to get their negative feedback to the world. Most good reviews are on honourable site where the people actually had to proof they have been there or experienced it. On google everything is allowed. If you experienced it or just followed an influencer to destroy your reputation. Big thumbs down

How long will Google keep serving us the worst ads from various Chinese and similar fake companies, which claim to reward those who use their games, yet not a single person has ever received a cent they supposedly earned? It's shameful how people struggling to make ends meet are deceived, thinking they can earn a little money for survival, falling victim to these scams. It's a disgrace that Google, with its wealthy executives, uses such fraudulent ads to further enrich themselves while the less fortunate spend even the minimal sums they have, believing they can earn small amounts of money, when in reality, they are falling for scams perpetrated by companies like Google, which continue to amass their wealth through these deceptions every day

We are a law office in SE Minnesota, and we provide criminal defense and general practice such as civil suits. We do not receive a lot of google reviews, most people don't post socially about their criminal defense. We received 2 illegitimate reviews over the past 2 years, one from someone who asked us to represent them in an area of law we don't practice, who was the aunt of a client, and we could not represent her, she was irked by the fact we would not represent her, and she posted saying our client was thinking of getting a new attorney and that we need to 'get our ducks in a row', Our client was happy with our representation and did not get another attorney, but Google says this doesn't violate their policy, even though it was written out of spite. Ok I guess its tough to prove the facts to google, I get that, but the process took them less than 5 minutes to decide. We accepted this, got an ad company to promote a review campaign, emailed dozens of our clients, got a lot of great reviews, and brought up our star rating, even though it didn't really seem fair. A couple years later we served a civil complaint against a woman who stole a lot of expensive items from our client, who was storing things at her property. She admitted she was not giving his things back to the police and had put herself in a position that was very difficult to defend in MN law. She gave us a one star review in response to the lawsuit. I contacted google again to ask them to remove the one star review, giving them the certificate of service showing she was not a client of ours and she was reviewing this in retaliation of a lawsuit. They responded 3 weeks later asking us for a court order, they said without a court order they cannot do anything. It really makes me think twice about believing the ratings on Google, we also do bankruptcies and wills and a one star review with no context can really effect our business. We are restricted from replying with specifics about cases and my boss is hesitant to even point out she is an opposition in a suit because it can negatively effect our case if she contacts opposition without going through their lawyer, so we have no way to address this. I think Google has really hung small business attorneys out to dry with these sort of policies considering that criminal defense can often be upsetting for clients even if we get the best deal possible if the client isn't 100% understanding of the law, or if their family aren't given 100% of the information, as often times criminal clients don't give their families all of the sordid details. All in all I'm disappointed to know that Google cares not for the effects of their policies when given proof that the ratings are illegitimate, & I've lost respect for their review system entirely.

I provided them with all the details and evidence pf a spam review left by one person using different accounts and they come back wth the same standard response that they investigated and found no violations.
I don't think they investigated this, if they did they would have found that the review I flagged came from multiple accounts by the same person.
Bad company

Google has started blocking peaple permanently that searches for cartoons. And celebrities. Medical information. Be careful what you type in Google

Search engine, ah sure? I look up topics of interest with google. I get enough to finish. But wait google instantly has my search history. Now my emails are spammed full of "similar topics" I've requested dozens of times to have them stopped through the Google portal. DOZENS! It continues. If I wanted information on things of interest I'm very capable of this myself. Google needs to reevaluate their sense of propriety sales piches and start a new. GARBAGE!

One hundred percent unrespowaited three days On hold for 2 and a 1/2 plus hours. Then the system booted me off. Called back and was booted off at 5 o'clock. Nobody ever responded to me. My business is listed as a locksmith. However, my business has not yet shown up once as a locksmith. They are unwilling to help and I think they are not worth it. I will try again and again. Because that is what everybody seems to prefer is Google. I think they have too much power.

When I search for a product for local shopping it thinks I live an hour to 8 hrs away from my actual town. When I asked who did scooter tire repair, none of the companies listed do scooter tire repair.
I ask to find 12.5" tire and it gives me all sizes even when put in "?". Very frustrating!

When you're looking for something; you google it. There is a reason for this. The easiest of all the online search engines, google is fantastic for searching for broad ideas or concepts. However, if you are wanting to find something very specific, or profession based, you can be stuck searching through hundreds of links that have no real relevance, or you could have only one or two links instead of the wealth of information you normally associate with google.

I'm 79 years old I've eaten in just about every fast food restaurant that there is and you get tired of cleaning these advertisements showing how beautiful the food is how big the sandwich is and then when you get there it don't look nothing like the picture second it's tiring to have these jocks get on there saying that the food is the best they ever ate when they're getting paid $100,000 maybe to say that and we're supposed to be stupid enough to believe them it's old it's tiring and it's a crock of crap

I've had a business to 10yrs and have had plenty of good genuine reviews. For whatever reason and without discussion Google choose to remove my good reviews at their will. They neither advise or discuss with me and then I realise they're not available to talk to to ask why. I have made a business decision to ask all future customer to post reviews on other sites as Google clearly can't be trusted.

They do not have a telephone number to reach them, only chat. Chat takes forever and your problem is not resolved. I was on the phone with them for over and hour and then they finally had someone call me back that can't speak English. Bring our jobs back to America.

Genuine reviews are withheld. And yes - the guidelines are followed. So what is the agenda. Not LEFT enough for Google?

What are your guidelines if you are sending me saying you can't post my review about a hotel which it is owner insulting us on your website, posting personal information and posting hatred speech and discrimination comments against us and I was just commenting saying that you allowed that, I didn't say any personal comment again him nor his race but he did say all that about my race and attached us personally what kind of standard is that, is that your fair standard google! You google allowed such comments on your site but shouldn't complain about it? Any answers

When you receive fake reviews on your company profile, and point out to google they are clearly in breach of their violation policy, they do nothing! We are receiving numerous fake 1 star reviews and google are doing nothing! We haven't been able to reply to our reviews for over 6 months now, and again, google aren't helping us. If you want honest reviews only, don't opt for google, because they will do nothing to help you if you receive fake reviews!
