Bought this guitar with high expectations which were smashed by Gear4music, really nice clean guitar with easy assembly and a very nice tone.
One small gripe i would have is to ensure that the wires on the diagram are the same as those in the guitar.
A piece of advice would be to spend the extra £10 to get the ash body as it is a harder wood and will last longer.
Loved the product and the service provided.
Ordered an Ibanez JEM, they took the money but delivered an Epiphone acoustic, so I rang them and arranged a pickup, then waited for email about the location of my actual order. Nothing, so rang again. Was told they didn't know where the order was so they had to email the warehouse. Then a few days later was told it wasn't in stock. So they had taken the money but didn't have it in stock anyway! So I gave them the benefit of the doubt ( I'm too nice) and ordered another Ibanez from them and they suggested to me they would use the money they already had to order it with, i. E. credit note on my Gear4music account. I removed my bank details off my membership account so that they did just use THAT money! Was told a few days later whilst waiting for the next guitar that I owed the money for it! Even though they told me they'd use the original money! Told the telephonist this and they said they'd go and find out what has happened as I was reluctant to pay over the phone until it was sorted their end first.( and I was suspicious of their administration by this point and was reluctant to pay anymore money!). Got the next guitar delivered, and apparently the original amount they had refunded despite me being told otherwise! So instinct told me by this point to check the new guitar over and plug in before paying... and it didn't work, dry soldering or some fault but the electrics didn't work, kept cutting out.So I returned it and didn't pay another penny. Bad admin and stock communication (my emails had no replies and they only phone you if they want money!) AND I suspect their stock is either seconds or refurbished, because to be out of stock when they said they plenty ( shouldn't be advertising them if they have none) and faulty guitars being sold at FULL price! Apparently 5 years to become one of the biggest and cheapest guitar retailers in the UK? No... AVOID... totally.
My laptop was sent back to be repaired under warranty more than one month ago. 2 weeks ago the guy from customer service said "the laptop it's been repaired and we wait to receive it back from the supplier". Today i called them again to ask what's the situation with the laptop. The guy from the customer service said "the supplier it's still looking for issues to fix it". It's so dodgy. Totally disappointed
I have ordered when I lived in the US now living in Portugal I did the same, excellent service and delivery thank you keep up the good work!
I've ordered with this company so far twice, I'm in New York and the products arrived in 2 days. Products were as expected and better priced than in USA even with the international ship cost. DHL sent a text which allowed me to sign for package and leave delivery instructions. Very satisfied
Disgraceful way of treating customers. They sold me a guitar that was warped and has other defects - for nearly £800 - made me pay for the return and now refuse to give me a refund. Apparently we are out of their 30 day policy which as it was bought for a Xmas present well in advance is a joke. Also being told I'll have to wait up to 2 months to get the broken one back. Just give me a refund, you've taken my money and I want it back. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. And look at the other reviews, seems I am not alone!
Ordered a keyboard, 4 of the keys didn't work. Sent it back and now being charged for postage after fighting for a refund rather than store credit. Avoid at all costs!
Told my son to buy a saxophone for is wife for Christmas what a shambles arrived broke phoned up to get a new one, when he phoned up about it they said it was repaired so he said I want my money back I paid for a new one, still waiting for a refund disgraceful to treat a customer who bought this for a present for Christmas a I recommended you because I bought something from you and it was ok get your act together
Thank you, I do appreciate your understanding of the DHL delivery issues (Gear4Music refunded delivery). The Casio machine is amazing, it sounds fantastic up to the tears, the all set is magnificent, and your customer service is second to none (immediate and understanding reaction). Overall we're very happy with this purchase experience, it is something to share proudly with anyone.
I tried to order a $185 microphone from this website I had around $220 on my card.
I entered in my card Info and pressed continue it said that the order could not go through, so I called my card company who informed me that I only had 30 cents on the card when I had just loaded the money onto it, please do not do business with this company I'm glad I used a prepaid debit and not my bank account these guys will just try to take all your money/drain your account and not even give the products offered
I ordered a item from Gear4Music. It was time sensitive due a project I had been commissioned. I Realised it was the USB version & not the thunderbolt so I arranged for a return & exchange.
I was informed that once the item had been received at their warehouse it would take 24/48hrs to process then I could order the exchange.
The couriers chosen by Gear4Music didn't put the return label on the return package initially and it got delivered back to my house! I was so confused. I had to reject the package which resulted in it taking another two days to reach their warehouse.
Upon receipt (tracked & picture) I called in to double check the time it would take to arrange the exchange only to be informed that now the product had reached the warehouse, it would take a further 5-10 day to process my returned item before I can order the product I actually want.
I was fuming, the Gear4Music.com employee was completely un-empathetic & almost blamed me for not knowing their policy. I told him I was clearly mis-informed, he said I was not as it was written down that it would take that long.
Due to how Gear4Music.com handled the process I decided that I'd rather have a refund and order the same item from somewhere else that doesn't take a million years to process a returned item & has better customer service skills.
I ordered a piano from gear4music.es which failed to arrive as expected.
It turns out that UPS have either lost the package or damaged it.
I requested a refund from gear4music which they are refusing to give me until UPS gets the piano back to them.
I have tried multiple times to explain to them that I have never seen the piano and the issue is with UPS but they are refusing to refund me. The emails were not polite and they clearly don't care.
I would advise against using them
Ordered a product. Got an email after the delivery date. "The was a problem in delivering your item. Ok. We couldnt deliver it to you by the stated date. When can you deliver? Were not sure... Silence on the phone. Hello? We dont know when we can deliver this to you. Shocking company, terrible service. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
I have no idea when I will get my 1500$ order but its 3 month and they dont have a clue when it will arrive. It was supposed to be a quick delivery.
Fraud?
Purchased a guitar for my Daughter, easy site navigation, ordering simple, no issues with delivery or product, would recommend.
I bought a dean flying V in the sale still £320 with extended warranty, I opened it and noticed it was full of cosmetic factory faults G4M should have picked up if they checked and set up the guitar and most online retailers do. Long story short I sent the guitar back it got scratched in transit and they claimed it was my fault dispute the fake I have proof it wasn't and the guitar should never have been delivered full of fault's anyway. The retailer us supposed to be final quality control before it gets to the customer. Unfortunately g4M like to leave that to customers! As many have stated once they have your money they couldn't care less they're rude, argumentative and just terrible to deal with after purchase. Needless to say I've not really played the guitar as everytime I pick it up it reminds how badly I was swindled.
I purchased a footswitch for a laney amp and despite contacting these twice and being fed crap about slow post etc due to covid i still have not gotten the item, bought stuff from china and japan and got those weeks ago. Contacted these again last week and they have not even bothered to reply this time. So avoid like the plague..
Customer service and supply of instrument was very good but when I went to get the beginner cello(the black cello as a beginner starter pack) I was told that the bridge was the wrong shape and the bottom fixing for the strings was off centre so would make it harder to tune and play. Having said that for someone who wasn't sure about learning how to play an instrument it was a good start off for me and generally speaking you get what you pay for. Ok product, great customer service :)
Want to say how pleased I am with this company's after care. Bought a microphone over a year ago (with a two year warranty). The mic suddenly stopped working. I sent it off and without any hassle they replaced it, and it was done within a couple of weeks. No hassle or lengthy process. Fantastic
Bought a tenor ukulele in figured ash, first one had unsightly mark on the front, they organised collection and replacement free of charge, I'm quite impressed.
