It has been a wonderful experience to be able to have food delivered that's not frozen nor do I have to cook it. It makes me feel good to know that it's healthy food it's a healthy food portion and I can get dairy soy and gluten free. I've been suffering from some health issues and feel too tired to cook often. It's a lot cheaper than going out to eat and the food is healthier more convenient
Due to various engagements, I simply don't have time to cook - especially to cook healthy food. Freshly's perfectly proportioned meals are a) tasty, b) diverse, and c) extremely easy to prepare (5 minutes from microwave to plate). If you're single or a really busy couple, I would highly recommend trying Freshly.
I've been shocked with how good the meals are. I've now tried everything on the menu and except for 1 or 2 items, I've either liked or loved each one. And the value is EXCELLENT. I'm on a 4 meal plan which comes out to $12.50 per dinner. I would spend more if I went out or ordered in. And reheating is super easy. I would highly recommend Freshly.

I have had an amazing experience with Freshly. The customer service has been amazing and the meals beyond exceed my expectations and are so filling and delicious! Also the packaging that they delivery in keeps your food cold and fresh for hours!
Have had 3 weeks of meals. The reviews are as varied as the menus. For example, don't advertise pork tenderloin with gravy, then send me "pulled pork" so shredded it loses all taste. I'd never use a tenderloin for pulled pork... a boston butt is better. Your peppercorn steak and Sierra chicken bowl are great. I'll give another week try before I decide about canceling the subscription.

I love all the meals l've tried so far. Wish they had some fish or seafood dinners to pick from, but overall l've been pleased with my choices.
I have tried Freshly 3 times now over the years from their inception... they have not only improved and perfected recipes... but they fixed their logistical issues, which was the reason for stopping service before. So so so happy I decided to restart my subscription!

I just started your service and am unbelievably impressed! My sister in law, who is a very good customer of yours, gave me a link, but I must not have done something right, as she didnt get any credit. Everything is really good. But the proteins are just chicken and sausage, with one steak dinner. Why no fish?
I'm a new client and have specific delivery need due to my employment. John P was incredibly helpful he answered all my questions and walked me through the program. Happy so far, now I just need to taste the food and see if I like it.
The food is great, affordable and healthy. It makes life with a new baby so much easier. Great customer service as well.
I have been nothing short of impressed with the quality of the food. The delivery was great as well up until my 3rd shipment. The delivery person left my package at the wrong apartment and when i called customer support the best they could do was offer my money back. I was hoping id at least be able to get a replacement started asap since i don't keep much food in the house because i thought i could rely on this service but i was told my next shipment would be in a week as scheduled.
Edit: Ref the Freshly rep that responded below. Though they did reach out and did in fact contact me in private message, it has now been a week since I've responded to it and they've not gotten back. I stick to my initial comment that the food is very good, healthy, and in general this service is all around good. I've received one delivery since the review and have no complaints about it. Still am very dissatisfied with the Freshly customer support response in regards to missed shipments though.

A lot of the dishes are delicious. I'm just wondering how good they are for me. I've noticed high amounts of sodium and carbohydrates. In addition, I believe the costs are a bit high being over $10 per dinner. I might need to cancel soon because of this.

I'd like healthier options. Most of your meals have either potatoes or rice and I try to avoid both of those carbs. I was using Territory Food until I moved. I felt that their meals were much healthier than yours. Less carbs, more vegetables. I also like the two meal sizes that they offer. I also thought that their packaging was more environmentally friendly. Compared to their meals, Freshly's are on the bland side. I'll be looking for additional options available in our zip code.

We will either remove an item and replace with something new, update the recipe on a current item or just add an item without removing one. As we continue to grow we will have plans to offer even more variety as well!

However, you can select to skip weeks, or cancel your subscription at anytime! Answer: Our meals are prepared and shipped out from our kitchen in Phoenix.:-) For Arizona deliveries we use FedEx.
Answer: The delivery window they give us is between 9am and 9pm. We package the meals to be safe for 2 days transit time, plus safe to sit outside for up to 12 hours upon delivery.:-)
Answer: Hi Nancy! We do not cook meals based on other programs' guidelines at this time. We're not overly concerned with calorie counts, but more concerned with where calories come from. Our meals are generally high protein, high healthy fat, low carb, low sugar. We use unprocessed ingredients free from hormones or added sugars, and never use chemical preservatives. First and foremost, I'd like to inform you that we're a weekly subscription service, which means you'll receive meals weekly, and get charged weekly as well. Here are the steps to follow while signing up: 1 - Add your email address and zip code in the sign-up box on our homepage. ( www.Freshly.com) 2 - Pick your meal plan. Just keep in mind that our meals have a shelf life of about 5 days unless frozen. 3 - Pick your delivery day from the available dates! The specific day of the week will be your weekly delivery day unless changed. 4 - Select your delicious meals from our 30+ selections. 5 - Add your contact info, payment details, and delivery address.

You can certainly reheat our meals in a conventional oven, however, our current meal containers are not safe for the oven or stove-top, so you'll have to transfer your food to heat it up. First, preheat your oven to 350° F. Transfer your food to an oven-safe dish (don't forget to scrape the sauce out of the tray!) and cover the top in tin foil. Heat for 25-35 minutes, remove foil, and let sit 3-5 minutes, then transfer to your choice of plate or bowl and enjoy! (Keep in mind, heating times are approximate. You'll want to reheat the meal to an inner temperature of 165° F.)

We can deliver Tuesday-Saturday in Southern Illinois--deliveries can occur between 8am-9pm depending on the carriers route for the day. While carrier delays are out of the norm, weather-related issues, road closures, driver confusion, etc. can wreak havoc. We have a dedicated delivery team that works directly with our carriers to ensure successful deliveries, and we're always sure to compensate when delays arise. We certainly hope this helps! Answer: I've been getting mine in on time, but I assume as with all packages going through USPS, UPS, and FedEx right now, things have been backed up since COVID and only getting worse. So it's not Freshly's fault even if they aren't delivered on time.
