This was my 1st and last experience with Freshly. I received my 1st 6 meals today and the meal I choose to have for dinner had a hair baked into the chicken. I contacted Freshly and was communicating with Lee. He was very understanding and helped me with the cancelation of my subscription and a FULL refund.
My order was lost in transit and Alex F helped me with a refund and credit. He was quick and polite and I'd work with him again.

I was trying to get some type of promo code or loyalty discount bc I am a college student and have been ordering 12 meals a week at $500 month for the last 3 months. CJ sent me a link to student beans which appeared to show a 15% discount on your "first 4 orders". When I asked CJ if this code would work since I am a current customer and not a new customer, CJ replied "You can try this code I dont know if it will work". Not exactly what I wanted to hear. Somebody in customer service should know if the code would work or not. Also, there should be a better loyalty customer program.

I had 2 meals missing from my order, and Freshly easily credited me back the cost. Lee was very helpful in the chat, which was quick and easy to use.

I had ordered 6 meals and 4/6 meals were not confirmed by me. I contacted AJ and Freshly and he was able to refund me my money since I did not ask for these meals. I do wish in the future a new confirmation would be sent if Freshly does run out of Ingredients as I would rather choose the meals that I like than something random.

In the event that we run into an issue with the amount of product we have or are able to get, we must improvise quickly to get our customers their meals in a timely manner. In general, we try to base the swap on the products that we do have readily available and our customers' dietary preferences.

This was my first time using the service and saw I had a refund. I saw my order had been canceled so I used your chat to ask why. Nhonie was very prompt in explaining what happened with the delivery service and assured me that there should not be an issue with next week's delivery. I am not giving Nhomie a low rating as that service was great but as a first time user I was a little disappointed in the cancellation but do understand the circumstances

I've found the need to contact customer service several times during the time I've been with Freshly. Each time - and especially THIS particular time, I've been more than pleased with their response. In a world of "no customer service" - Freshly is a delight to work with. They are accommodating, pleasant and issues are easily resolved. Initially I was not going to write a review but after seeing yet another misleading TV commercial featuring portions that look appetizing and nearly twice the size of what is actually delivered I just had to say something. Isn't this actually unethical if not illegal? Someone should look into this -- either the Better Business Bureau or the Dep't. Of Consumer Affairs.
I signed up with Freshly during the height of the COVID crisis here in early spring. To save myself having to go out shopping I thus went for a weekly 12-meal plan -- MISTAKE! I also did not realize that this was a subscription service. Twelve meals per week for a single person is a lot and I am not the type to consider a dinner meal as a lunch meal. It became necessary to start skipping a week or two at a time as there were just too many meals coming in. Refrigerator space became premium. Despite several attempts at ordering fewer than 12 meals I repeatedly received a notice that in order to receive a "savings" I would still need to order the full twelve. There seemed to be no option to opt out of my original delivery plan. Additionally, having tired of the mostly bland meals, I tried to switch to some of the newer suggested options. Guess what? That didn't work either. Somehow the order went through with SIX! Turkey and white bean chili bowls! Seriously?! I didn't like any of the meals well enough to order more than one per order. Speaking of the dishes themselves-- really small, inconsistently-sized portions -- most of them were bland and under-seasoned with salt substituting for any real spices. Who is back in the kitchens anyway--a pinch of this and a pinch of that... I had to add in my own spices and seasonings to make them palatable. Also, too much reliance on rice as a staple. Not good for those who are pre-/diabetic.
As positives-- great seamless delivery system. Boxes were left in my specified location. Only had two deliveries that were delayed by one day with no effect on the ice packs. Received a coupon for the next order. Thoughtful, environmentally-conscious packaging.
Finally, out of sheer frustration I cancelled my subscription.

We will either remove an item and replace with something new, update the recipe on a current item or just add an item without removing one. As we continue to grow we will have plans to offer even more variety as well!

However, you can select to skip weeks, or cancel your subscription at anytime! Answer: Our meals are prepared and shipped out from our kitchen in Phoenix.:-) For Arizona deliveries we use FedEx.
Answer: The delivery window they give us is between 9am and 9pm. We package the meals to be safe for 2 days transit time, plus safe to sit outside for up to 12 hours upon delivery.:-)
Answer: Hi Nancy! We do not cook meals based on other programs' guidelines at this time. We're not overly concerned with calorie counts, but more concerned with where calories come from. Our meals are generally high protein, high healthy fat, low carb, low sugar. We use unprocessed ingredients free from hormones or added sugars, and never use chemical preservatives. First and foremost, I'd like to inform you that we're a weekly subscription service, which means you'll receive meals weekly, and get charged weekly as well. Here are the steps to follow while signing up: 1 - Add your email address and zip code in the sign-up box on our homepage. ( www.Freshly.com) 2 - Pick your meal plan. Just keep in mind that our meals have a shelf life of about 5 days unless frozen. 3 - Pick your delivery day from the available dates! The specific day of the week will be your weekly delivery day unless changed. 4 - Select your delicious meals from our 30+ selections. 5 - Add your contact info, payment details, and delivery address.

You can certainly reheat our meals in a conventional oven, however, our current meal containers are not safe for the oven or stove-top, so you'll have to transfer your food to heat it up. First, preheat your oven to 350° F. Transfer your food to an oven-safe dish (don't forget to scrape the sauce out of the tray!) and cover the top in tin foil. Heat for 25-35 minutes, remove foil, and let sit 3-5 minutes, then transfer to your choice of plate or bowl and enjoy! (Keep in mind, heating times are approximate. You'll want to reheat the meal to an inner temperature of 165° F.)

We can deliver Tuesday-Saturday in Southern Illinois--deliveries can occur between 8am-9pm depending on the carriers route for the day. While carrier delays are out of the norm, weather-related issues, road closures, driver confusion, etc. can wreak havoc. We have a dedicated delivery team that works directly with our carriers to ensure successful deliveries, and we're always sure to compensate when delays arise. We certainly hope this helps! Answer: I've been getting mine in on time, but I assume as with all packages going through USPS, UPS, and FedEx right now, things have been backed up since COVID and only getting worse. So it's not Freshly's fault even if they aren't delivered on time.
