Terrible customer service, they will do anything to argue with you (I had one even hang up on me because the email address she gave me for rebates wouldn't work.) If you don't have all your info re: previous purchase you won't get you $10 rebate.
I even checked the site out & all merchants you purchase from they only give you certain items that (Freeshipping) picks out in order to get you $0 ship charge, not the item you want, the item you want is not there pick so you still have to pay shipping on that item.
Plus you have to pay there $12.97 monthly fee.
Since I am disabled and have to get a ride to go places, I do most of my shopping online. I therefore thought freeshipping.com might work for me. I went to the website to find the cost and it wasn't there. I didn't want to sign up for a free trial for fear of having to cancel by a certain time to not incur a monthly fee if dissatisfied. A phone number was provided so I called. He didn't know the monthly charge if I signed up that minute. When asked if it was closer to $100 or $10, he didn't know. When asked if it varied each month I was told "yes". He said to go to the website and the fee would be explained - and, of course, I was on the website. I was more confused than when I started. I never became a member and w/ these reviews and my experience I never will. But I still feel it may work for people who do tons of online shopping.
Hi Lysbeth, I would be more than happy to help you with this. Please contact me directly at [email protected]. Thanks!
I was shopping on eBay and saw the ad to save $10. On freeshipping.com. After clicking on, I began filling out the form. The Chrome settings on my device have my banking and credit information that was apparently asked for and applied. I never once used the service, but was checking my bank statements the following month and this place took $12. From my account after promising to save me $10, and never have I used their service. I wasn't eligible as a buyer. Scam, stay away! I had to take the time to go to the bank to get a new debit card number and cancel the card number I've had for years so they couldn't do this to me again, wait for my new card to come in the mail and charged me with a debt that promised me a service I didn't receive. Nothing but a stressful hassle. I was schemed! Where's my savings, freeshipping? You owe me $12 and some change! Review this! You took the time to take my money, are you going to take the time to read this and give it back?
Hi Molly, I would have been more than happy to help get this refunded for you. If you have any questions please contact me directly at [email protected]. Thanks!
I'm an avid Internet shopper. In my first three months with Freeshipping.com I have incurred hefty savings. Bought a large screen TV, picked it up locally, dry goods groceries, birthday gifts - and with Freeshipping saved 10% on orders from Walmart, HomeDepot, BestBuy, Kohls, VictoriasSecret and Shutterfly, and got the shipping back. Plus I've purchased items from eBay and TextBooks I would not have bought if I weren't getting up to $10 shipping back. Being the savvy shopper I am, I sometimes combine with an online coupon (read each vendors specific rules) or use a previously purchased discounted gift card (HomeDepot, Walmart, Victorias Secret) to boost the savings. It takes some time for the checks to begin to flow, and that's clearly explained. I've received over $65 so far and have another $150 in the works. Not bad for my three month membership dues. Looking forward to Christmas shopping and saving with this amazing site.
My email was hacked and I was signed up for all these sites I was not aware of. I have yet to see my refund as I did not use this service or website.
Hi Molly, I would be more than happy to help you with this. Please email me directly at [email protected]. Thanks!
I never shop online but I saw the perfect thing on Anna's Linens so I went ahead with the purchase. While I was contemplating the shipping options, Free Shipping popped up and offered free shipping since I was spending over a certain amount. They made it seem like they were a subsidiary, or affiliated somehow with Anna's Linens and they used my credit card information with that order to charge my credit card every month since May. I realized it when I was reviewing my statements and immediately called to cancel the "membership" I never signed up for. The customer service rep said "But you cashed the check we sent you for your Anna's Linens order". Of course I did, I thought that was my benefit for using the site in connection with Anna's Linens! Sneaky, sneaky, underhanded site. Don't fall for this!
Hi Brittanie, I'm so sorry for any confusion regarding our program. Please email me at [email protected] and I would be more than happy to take care of this for you. Thanks!
I did the 10 day free trial a couple of months ago, and found it to be a pretty decent site. I haven't joined yet, but am going go to join soon. I found it pretty easy to email my invoices showing the shipping fees to them... I've been reading a lot of reviews here that claim ppl didn't know there was a monthly fee. They do state it very clearly on the site that there is a monthly fee... I also had called them twice with questions, and they were so nice and professional... I think the bottom line is if you do a lot of online shopping, like I do, then this is a good site to join. Just my opinion. Thx!
Thanks, Joni. We're glad you enjoyed our site! Feel free to let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!
I sold an ebay item and I paid 7 dollar shipping. I saw the ad free shipping under my order statement, so I clicked it. The site wanted me to login in my information and credit card info, so I did for the service. Unfortunately I was not able to use the service because I wad a seller, not a buyer. So I tried for 30 minutes on canceling but said nothing about a membership cancellation. I even went to the help tab, and nothing. I don't believe this service was all effective to me and Would like to recieve a refund of 12.97 and membership cancellation.
Hi Mario, I do see that we cancelled your account and issued a refund for $12.97. If that did not post to your account please let me know and I'd be more than happy to help. You can contact me directly at [email protected]. Thanks!
Never signed up but had recurring charge. Actual direct phone# for freeshipping.com is *******047 and they will cancel immediately
Hi Carol, I would also be more than happy to help with anything. You can contact me directly at [email protected]. Thanks!
I did not consciously sign with Freeshipping to be a member. When I made my purchase I thought I was given a choice and I clicked free shipping for purchases above $59. I did not know that there was going to be a monthly fee. I was surprised that I was charged $12.97 for an item that up to now I have not even received! I want my money back and my "membership" be cancelled!
This is Lorenzo
Hi Lorenzo - I apologize for any confusion regarding our program. I have cancelled and issued a refund to your account. If you have any other questions please let me know and I would be more than happy to help! Thanks!
It is a garbage service, filled with backhanded business methods. It makes you bend over backwards to make any sorts of money.
Hi, unfortunately we understand our service is not meant for everyone. However, we are always making an effort to make it easier for our members to use. If you have any feedback or comments on this please reach out to me directly at [email protected] and I would be more than happy to discuss these with you.
Thanks!
I wrote an earlier post about being scammed out of $204. Freeshipping.com and Proflowers both contacted me. Free shipping.com DID refund my money. I will still say, read the fine print and it should be OBVIOUS when ordering from ProFlowers and signing up for a rebate that your are PASSED to Freeshipping.com But... they did make this right. Good for them.
Hi Dave, I am happy we were able to take care of this for you. Please let me know if there is anything else we can help you with.
Thanks!
I ordered books from Earlymoments.com and was charged a shipping fee of 4.99. I was directed to this website Freeshipping.com and was told the shipping charge will be eligible for a cash back rebate. It is such a scam, and there is no mention of a menbership fee of 12.97/month until I received the email, which has teeny tiny letters mentioning the amount in the bottom of the email, which I missed. They charged my credit card 12.97 to give me back 4.99. WOW... what a scam. Please stay away from both Earlymoments.com (that is another book club scam that charges 19.99 a month for childrens' book) and Freeshipping.com
Hi Ranjani, I apologize for the confusion. When you signed up with FreeShipping.com the membership fee was listed directly above where you put your credit card number. Also, as you said it was sent again in the email. However, at this time I do see that we did refund that charge back to your card, as well as process the rebate from Early Moments. You should receive that rebate within 2-5 business days. If you have any questions please feel free to email me at [email protected].
Thanks!
I'm in the middle of a divorce, so I am buying a lot of things in a short period of time. Bed, stereo, furniture, lots of items from Walmart and Lowe's for my new (smaller) house. So far, in about 30 days, I have racked up $200 in cash back. The truth is yet to be told though, because the payout date is not until mid-October on these purchases, but I am not pessimistic.
I have not tried the rebate portion, because you can honestly get either free shipping to your home or to the store from most places. I did make a toaster purchase from best buy yesterday that I will try out the rebate on and let you know. -RJ Craddock
UPDATE - Still using this service. I saved $70 on my XBox One Purchase on Black Friday from Best Buy. I have received all payments, totaling over $400, so far.
Hi Randall, I'm glad that FreeShipping.com seems to be making your move a little cheaper with the cash back and the shipping rebates. If you have any questions about your account please don't hesitate to contact me directly at [email protected]. Thanks! Mike
I have joined many online shopping rebate clubs and they all have their perks. This is the first one I have ever paid for. I wondered how long it would take me to earn back the monthly fee and decided that as long as I made more than I spent I would keep using it. I joined in September-ish of 2014 and even though it took me a few months to save a substantial amount of money, I can honestly say that this is the best rebate site I've ever joined, even with the monthly fee. The max you can "earn" per year on % rebates is like $1000. And the most you can claim for shipping refunds is like $500. I will certainly hit the $1000 maximum and will definetly claim almost $250 in shipping refunds. I've used the return shipping a handful of times and that is probably worth about $100 today. Then, with the price guarantee, I received a refund of almost $100.
So - for $156 a year membership, I have received this year alone about $1400 - $1500 in savings. It's work but it seems worth it to me!
My only complaint is that sometimes, I follow all the requirements for a rebate to a "t" and every so often it doesn't get recorded for a rebate. Trying to dispute it is a waste of time, they won't hear you at all and just send a form letter saying basically "sorry but you are SOL" That makes my blood boil. If another company offered the same program and had a better tracking system I would join it in a hearbeat.
Hi Jenn, were so glad to hear that you enjoy FreeShipping.com. If you ever have a rebate that doesn't get processed please reach out to us. We would never just "sweep it under the rug." You can always email me directly at [email protected]. Thanks!
I almost signed up for the $10.00 rebate until my credit card information was requested, I then immediately went to research the site (which I normally do for anyone requesting credit card/bank information). In reading some of these reviews which is mostly negative (from what I have seen/read) this seems like an awful waste of time and aggravation just to get a rebate for a few bucks. I am not saying that this is a scam but definitely Not Worth It!
--Amanda
I almost signed up until I saw there was a "membership" charge. And after reading these reviews, I will not be signing up.
PS customer service from free shipping please spare me and stop saying the same apology/excuse to everyone. A company should not have this much "confusion"
Hi Becka, we understand that FreeShipping.com is not for everyone. While there is a membership fee, the savings that our members can receive can far outweigh that fee. If you have any other questions please let me know. You can reach us anytime at 1-855-226-7047.
Thanks!
From the reviews I see here it sounds like a lot of people didn't realize what they were signing up for - the company needs to do a better job of ensuring people actually intend to purchase the product and know how to use what they have. I've had a membership for a LONG time (like maybe 10 years if I remember correctly) and I've received more in rebates than I paid in membership fees every year. (I pay annually, about $100, and usually get at least $300 back.) It works for me because I do a lot of shopping online, regularly shop at several stores that participate, am in the habit of clicking through the freeshipping.com site to shop, and have time to fool with the claims process.
Thanks for the positive feedback, Valerie. I’m glad to hear that your FreeShipping.com membership has made it easier for you save while shopping online. If there is anything I can help you with please feel free to reach out to me at [email protected].
I really had to fight to get my $15 rebate for the item I ordered from Walter Drake. The claim was categorically denied (although I only learned this when I called to see where the rebate was), and the woman with whom I spoke was trying to "explain" to me why it had been denied: she said that I had neglected to put a specific reference number on the claim (I'd filled out COMPLETELY the form that freeshipping.com generates online, and I'd received a confirmation that the claim had been successfully submitted). The funny thing was that I had never even been GIVEN this "reference number" until I'd called time to ask about the status of my claim! They are truly a bunch of thieves. In fact, I later called the Walter Drake and explained to them that this company is ripping off Walter Drake customers. The short review? STAY AWAY FROM THESE SCAMMERS! If you've already "signed up" for their services, report them to your state's Attorney General. UPDATE: The response from freeshipping is nothing more than smoke and mirrors The ONLY reason I got my $15 was that I had every intention of reporting them to New York State's Attorney General. I am an intelligent person, and there was NO "misunderstanding." All of the complaints you're reading about freeshipping aren't simply fabricated by people who have nothing better to do with their time!
Hi JC, I’m so sorry for the confusion regarding our program. When you submitted your rebate online, we gave you the claim number. The directions stated to place that claim number in the subject line and send the corresponding documentation to us at [email protected]. Unfortunately, using the information that I have here I am unable to locate your account. But, I would be more than happy to help get this processed for you as well as explain in further detail by walking you through the rebate process. You can contact me by email at [email protected] or call me at 860.358.9198 x237.
This free shipping.com charge is on my mother's credit card and she only answered a phone call. Watch your personals.
Hi Earlene, unfortunately I was unable to locate an account for your mother using the information above. Once we locate an account I can certainly explain why she was charged and we can refund that for you. Can you please email me directly at [email protected] or call me at 860.358.9198 x237. You can also call our toll free number, who is available 24/7 at 800-515-9185.
Answer: Their advertising is a little sneaky I give you that. But that's your fault, just like out on the city streets, a fool and their money is soon parted.
Answer: Hi Christina, unfortunately I can't locate your account using the information here. Can you please reach out to me directly at [email protected]?
Answer: What's so dishonest about it? I am a regular subscriber and can easily recover my subscription fee many times over.
Answer: I did, but only after threatening to report them to the Attorney General in my state. They rely on the fact that few people will make a fuss.
Answer: You have to buy items from a website…anything from eBay to BATH & BODY WORKS, OVERSTOCK…many others. Go to "freeshipping.com" then delete the site from which you plan to buy-it will direct you to that site. (I always take screenshots of final receipts to add to my freeshipping.com submission), Afterwards you need to enter the purchase date-total cost and shipping cost…then a code is given. I have timed myself-the submission takes 35 secs if you are fluid on the computer. Have been a member for over 5 years and saved hundred$$! Trustworthy site-w/discounts as well as freeshipping (up to $10/order). $500 max shipping refunds per year…no limit on 10-20% off discounts!
Answer: Hello, Any cash back you earn as a member is yours to keep even if you choose to cancel. Thanks!
