My first time the designer quoted me higher price than initial then tried to get upfront all the money even before accepting my project. Freelancer has many hidden charges and make it difficult for you to get refunds withdraw your deposit and close your account all of which they charge you for doing. The design services are mostly outsourced to India even though many designers showing a USA flag in their profile. Don't trust this service.
I was contacted by Freelancer on something that had gone wrong with my payment, I had not even noticed myself, and they have solved my problem in a personal and quick way. I am surprised by the good service.
I had a question about ebay withdrawal, process was made clear but the new process was already completed by your in house team before it became an issue for me.
Eileen kindly informed me of the guidelines for canceling the project.
Following the guidelines, I amable to cancel the project with ease.
Kayla B is the excellent Agency and help me perfectly with my problem.
Very Impressive.
Thanks.

Hey freelancer, it is VERY apparent that your current mass amount of positive reviews are fake and done VERY poorly. Perhaps you should pay them more than 50 cents an hour to post more convincing reviews? Lol
The only thing that amazes me about freelancer.com is that they are still in business.
I was upset over something and she was able to resolve the problem quickly and efficiently. She seemed very intelligent and capable.
Though I had been working both as freelancer and employer for the freelancer.com site and I have done many successful projects in both profile,
Recently my posted projects are getting fewer and fewer proposals as i myself realized i also hardly bid on projects due to their introduced repressive feature 'bid quality score' which has hardly any legit reason for determining the bid quality.
I Myself take my bids on projects seriously and complete as much of the information that I understand. If nothing, I know my skills, and I don't apply for anything I am not qualified for and many employers send me messages after i place a bid for discussion on the project, but they keep on lowering my bid quality score- may be they want me to spend money to sponsor the bid or something.
And for my posted projects too i can clearly see the response is getting crappier as i always welcome new comer freelancer to join a project if he/she has the skill. But after introducing this feature less freelancer are bidding and i am having to search for a suitable candidate for my project outside freelancer site.
If this is a business strategy which is causing harassment for both freelancers and employers by the freelancer.com site then this is really disappointing and sad.
You will get better response to your project (even if low cost) outside this site as good freelancers in this site are not being able to bid freely. Hope they change this useless feature soon.
Over all very good experience. The reply was immediate and got the required support as well. I forgot to cancel the premium membership which I got as free trial and my credit card got debited with the fee. Thanks for the help.
The technical support was great and in good delay. I appreciate that Freelancer.com give as much attention to Freelancer as it is for Employer.
Thank you
It is not against freelancer.com in particular. There is no way for them to screen all of the people that try to hire on their site. I just want to warn people not to fall for scams. Do not take any communication or payment off of freelancer.com
First time in my life I got such a fast and useful reply from a support centre. Very good experience
I'm very happy for this support. It's an amazing time with support by hector. I got my solution from him at a very short time. Thanks hector for support me. I'll consider you for my future support if possible.
I participated in a contest where the prize was guaranteed. I won. The prize money was not released. Come to find out that the person doesn't have a bank account attached to Freelancer so that they can automatically take the money out to pay me my hard earned money. Freelancer should be a website where people are unable to hose contest unless they have some sort of verified payment method. It's a website with so much potential but there are so many flaws.
Professional and understanding team of people who were willing to work on time as i needed a response to a query asap.
I had a bad experience with an employer. Freelancer answered my emails quickly and refunded my money the same day. Thank you.
Good service. I appreciate the quick respond and the help that I received. It was quick and exactly what I was looking for.
Thanks for the help. Mark did great help to my request of refunding moeny from the account. He has done it with great paciency and good attitude.
For a first time user, Freelancer.com set me up to succeed... the process was intuitive, the stafff helpful and the freelancers qualified, quick and communicative. Great experience! Thank you!
Answer: It is a PR platform that enables scammers to appear legitimate or verified. Freelancer doesn't care. They get a sizeable commission no matter if the posting is legitimate or not. Example: A fake ebook listing. Needs author to write 50000 words for US$ 2000. Unwitting freelancer bids and is 'awarded project' with message saying hurry up and accept. Once accepted, freelancer takes 'project fee' while you get tied up in their help callcenter trying to recoup not only the fee but potentially the fake employer gleaned from you using their platform. This site will be in the news soon. Trust me.
Answer: Hi Dejan. This happened to me in 2014, I lost a lot of money too, I withdrew the money on a Wednesday after the client had paid me $1000 in full. Then the next day, Thursday, I got a message that my withdrawal request was cancelled and the money reversed back to employer. My account was suspended and when I asked why, I was told that the employer looked like he was fraudulent and that the money might be fraud. Up to date, I am still bitter, angry and sad over that $1000 but I never got it back and Freelancer closed the person's account and that was that. So I hope this answers some of your questions and I am deeply sorry for your loss after such hard work. All the best
Answer: Freelancer.com focused on employer only, they just want as many employer and project as they can regardless of their country, verification status and deposits. However all the restriction is for employee. This is the reason Freelancer didn't stop them to post project without deposit. Almost 90% projects are fake (either posted by freelancer itself or fake/fraud employers). You have to be careful. Keep following things in mind will prevent you from fraud much. 1. Don't work for Employers from India/Bangladesh/Sri Lanka/Nigeria/Israel 2. Don't work for Employers whose name looks like Indian 3. Once the project is awarded to you, don't accept it unless the employer created initial milestone. Wait for at least 12 hours after milestone creation then accept it. 4. Ask for release step by step, don't work on next milestone unless previous is not released 5. Withdraw money from freelancer as fast as you can.
Answer: You can't say its fake but at the same time you can't just trust it fully. My point here is: people do get things done for the price but when it comes to money/payment, you can not trust freelancer. Sometimes it gets reversed from your account and you won't even get a satisfactory reason for it. I suffered a loss of 900 USD. All I get to hear that employer had some account issues and we can not disclose this any further. If you looking to work as a freelancer, go odesk or upwork and any other site first and then freelancer.com. Small incident: I worked for a client, designed the logo got the parent for it. Next day when looged in, my account showed negative balance ( payment reversed). Support: employer have acc. Issues Client: never came back or responded to any mails. Result: I worked and still in debt.
Answer: Dispute it with PayPal! Another beautiful example of why everyone hates Freelancer.
Answer: Freelancer is scam. I have very bad experience recently. "The payments you've received from your employer "-----------" were reversed due to their account issues. As a result, their account was closed" Lost over 800$. Freelancer also keep the fee for this job! Their support never answer. SCAM
Answer: Agree, do not use credit card details - freelancer is a terrible organisation when it comes to finances - they just debit your card at will, no warning, no opportunity to review the transaction, no notification of the charge - you just find out once you get your bank statement. Be very, very wary of this company - not saying their dodgy, BUT they are very devious when it comes to transactions. I think their motto is - "debit any time, just don't tell them and they wont complain"
Answer: Contact Paypal and file a dispute. I got a refund for the monthly amount that they should not have charged me for.
Answer: Good afternoon Rostyslav, unfortunately this has happened to most users of Freelancer including people who have been awarded projects. Ensure that you do not start any work or event accept a project until the following criteria have been met: 1. Project awarded 2. Initial milestone/deposit created 3. Client agrees to release the first payment immediately after you accepting the project. If they are unable to do this, tell then politely that you are unwilling to start on the project and keep looking for honest, legitimate clients. Be careful at all time on this website, even if you do vey thing by the book and the client still doesn't pay, the Freelancer support team will not help you. It is left to you to contact the client and chase the payment even of they delete their account.
Answer: Don't share you card. Use Paypal. First of all don't use freelancer they are scammers.
