Guys, the friendly staff at flight guru is excellent, but don't be a fool thinking you are getting the best deal available, I paid £2,200.00 for two tickets to new York, I had to change my return date, it cost me another
£840.00 for both of us to stay an extra week, the airline could not change the ticket because i book with flight guru, my advice, book with the airline direct things will be a lot easier if you need to make any changes.
I do not recommend this agency at all, HORRIBLE customer review and I would never ever re book with them. Nelson (the name of the "manager" has bad attitude and took almost £5,000 from me for a return flight then I'm now finding out (while I'm on holiday) that I do not have a return flight that it's one way. So where's my money? I have no clue. Now stranded in Jamaica going back and forth with flight guru and British airways. I am distressed and mentally drained from what this agency is bringing me through, not to mention how frustrated my kids are. This company is a FRAUD AND A FAÇADE.
They don't honour the original price. When Virgin changed the flight, despite Virgin not charging for any alterations, Flights Guru refuse to liaise with Virgin to try and sort out agreeable changes and want to charge you instead. They then failed to answer my emails from February to June, stating the reason being the customer advisor was off sick and his manager only had started to get round to going through his emails! Despite trying to change the price and hence terms of the contract, they still refuse to refund the deposit. Cowboy firm. Also no s75 protection
This company is full of Rogues, Jordan and Paul their manager are the two I dealt with. They tell you you need to pay more for a flight that they have said it was secured and collected a deposit for. The aim is to get more from you. They are liars and insist you must do business with them Their 5 star reviews are fictitious. They refuse to give back money they have taken and start to offer unsolicited alternatives. I have raised a compliant with trading standards and ABTA. I intend to flag this up the aviation complaint chain. Bunch of Thieves.

They will take your money, "buy you a ticket" and then when you actually register for your flight you find out that no, they never did buy you tickets. They will also never refund your money, so is a complete scam.

I purchased tickets on this site for a trip in 2020. Since no one could travel internationally i asked for a refund. I was told that i would get a credit for travel. I could use this credit by Feb. 2022. In the process of trying to book a flight was a back and forth with no resolution. The biggest problem is that every flight they offered was also $600 more per ticket. This additional charge and my credit would make the cost of the ticket at $ 1600 Looking on their web page shows the cost of the flight i wanted was only $1000 per ticket. I have asked to just have my money returned and been told that the "ticket provider" doesn't offer that price. Although the agents i have spoken to or emailed have been nice they simply can not help me. I have filed a complaint with the DOT hoping to get some help there.

Flightguru.com is the worst air agency I have dealt with in the last quarter of a century, my flight was supposed to take place this May, unfortunately it was canceled by the carrier due to a pandemic, they did not even rush to inform me about it, they do not want to return my money like it was my fault, I literally never had anything to do with anything like this Flight Guru resets and reaps on pandemic knowing what financial situation some families are in, shame, never want to deal with them again, scammers!

I was looking for a business class flight from IAD to LHR and prices were very high. I found average prices between $8000 and $******* for a one way flight! I went to the flight guru and they found me a business class flight with SAS for $1147. The same seat was advertised for $10,395 including tax on the SAS website. SAS doesn't have the greatest business class as they need to update the cabin, but it was a good flight none the less.
Edit: Unfortunately the flight guru shut down a few years ago because of Covid, I believe. I think many of these bad reviews are for "the flights guru" in the UK. The flight guru was based in California USA and did an excellent job of finding cheap flights. I used them may times and am sad to see them go.

Answer: Depends of which "Flight Guru" you used. The one in California USA was absolutely brilliant... it has since closed. The one in the UK is, let's say, less than satisfactory.
