The company has garnered a mixed reputation, with some customers appreciating the affordability and variety of services available, as well as the potential for building long-term relationships with freelancers. However, significant concerns dominate the feedback, particularly regarding delayed payments, unresponsive customer support, and a perceived lack of accountability for both sellers and buyers. Many users express frustration over unresolved disputes and the platform's failure to ensure transparency and quality among its freelancers. This highlights a critical need for improved customer service and stricter oversight to enhance user trust and satisfaction.

Been working as a freelancer for over 11 years and working thru fiverr since 2013. The just cancelled a completed order from the work of a customer even without intimating. When questioned raised racist comments about my identity and integrity based on my country of origin.
The answer is "if a customer complained about a seller, even without inquiring, they will cancel the order invariable of it is a worthy complaint" and wont consult will a seller as they see sellers are always wrong!
Becareful when you send data for work to be done. Some seller ask to see your data before agreeing to take up the gig. They will come back and inform you they can do the job. All they wanted is to collect confidential data.
If you get a service done with Fiverr and the seller doesn't deliver on the service, Fiverr won't refund your money, even if you don't have anything delivered from them.
Now if you get no satisfaction from Fiverr support, who are so slack that they don't get back to you for over a week after you post a support query and try your payment provider, Fiverr threatens to suspend your account. They won't give you back your money and threaten you not to try other ways to get it back.
So basically, if you have an issue:
- Fiverr does not resolve it
- Fiverr keeps your money
- you get nothing for your money, basically you're giving Fiverr money for no reason
In the regular world, if you ordered something and didn't get it, you get your money back. Fiverr seems to think that if you don't get something, you get your money back. Fiverr won't do that.
Don't use Fiverr.
Fiver is:
- unethical
- dishonest
- fraudulent
- unprofessional
- disreputable
I ended up trying two different people to create a white board animation. I had a budget of $200 and gave them the exact script and exact drawing images that I wanted. They took the job, told me 2 days and came back a week later and said they couldn't do it. Hired a second person with same outcome, now I wasted two weeks of time and have a credit in my Fiverr account that does me no good if these people can't do the work. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE.
I actually made it 5 days on Fiverr! On Day 4, I submitted my video created through Adobe to try and drum up business. 24 hours later it was denied and I was told that it was not my video! Even though, I had just ran it on an add the day before and it was accepted. Ok, so I figured it was just some bonehead screening gigs (as they call them) and trying to catch up on screening, or just didn't know what he was doing. Most likely the latter, as my soon to be "Really bad experiences" started. Not only was I attempting to provide a service, but I was already actively buying services. 1 out of 5 turned out to be legit. Then comes the bombardment of spam. I hate Spam! Then... I have a seller asking to pay him through Bitcoin for a service that I was interested in, which is against TOS. So, I promptly mark his request as a TOS violation, 4 hours later after I have submitted all my information as a "Verified Professional", and taken several of their cheesy test for competency, which I might ad, some of them I knew nothing of the subject and still passed. I get banned for supposedly asking for payments outside of Fiverr! Now remember, I was the one that reported it! Now, it gets even worse. I had funds in my account. I was told in an email with no way to reply that my funds would sit there for 90 days and after 90 days, I will get an email with directions on how to get my money back. 90 days! WTF! Now, if that's not some shady SH^t? Nothing that can't get handled with a charge back. Do yourself a favor and use reputable sites, NOT Fiverr!
I initially went to Fiverr because Wix support was atrocious. I paid around 3
$360 Australian dollars e-commerce and redesign of pages. He did a beautiful job of the redesign but lied about the e-commerce - he could not execute that part of the job - he was in a hurry for me to sign off and give a review. I gave 5 stars because of the design only. Next because my e-commerce issue was not resolved I went back to Wix who again sent me instructions that could already be found on their website. I received a call from the Project Manager who didn't know the e-commerce part of Wix and slugged I contact Wix - I paid the Premium which they were supposed to charge me monthly but took all of my money for the annual fee instead. So I went back to freaking Fiverr and picked out a seller who portrayed herself as having excellent e-commerce knowledge. The lying you know what charged me $180 Australian dollars (1/3 more than the agreed amount). So 6 days later which is today and guess what she created a form that does nothing and completely ignored the examples and directives of what I wanted. I am not signing off - I told her I will seek my money back if the job does not get done as requested. I quite calm. So we will see what happens. I cannot ever use Wix or Fiverr ever again after my experiences.
I hired someone to do one simple logo upgrade (3D style, see 2nd picture below), and the girl I paid upfront (to let you know) didn't send my work. I let it go about a week, and she still didn't send me anything. She states 1-day delivery. I filed a complaint with Fiverr and never heard anything from them until today, 10/30/20, when I left a review on their site about the so-called logo builder. I complained to the resolution team on Fiverr about the girl who never delivered what I paid for last week. Well, she finally sent back a logo, and it was NOTHING LIKE THE PICTURE SHE HAD ON HER SITE TO PROMOTE HER BUSINESS on Fiverr. It looks like a shadow that you can make with an iPhone. Fast forward to today, Fiverr said they were going to hide my review on their site until November 8,2020. Are they SERIOUS? They are going to hide the negative review. There are a few reputable people on that site, but the rest is trash. Fiverr won't help you with getting a refund, so therefore they could care less about customers. I hired someone on Fiverr to add a 3D style to my logo because I didn't have the time, due to my business demand right now. If you want to hire Kimberly_Mcbray, keep going. She doesn't look like she knows what she is doing based on the picture she sent after two weeks (see below -1st picture) and one threat to Fiverr. After looking over the Fiverr site, I notice they hide the negative comments and show only positive ones. Do not use this company. Get professionals locally or look up reputable ones on google.
Some of the sellers are SCAM and Fiver won't help you to refund!
Like, this company is the only platform if there is a problem with a seller, Fiverr will NOT help you at all.
We paid 1.2K to an India company/provider for marketing service. They didn't do $#*! and marked as completed. I contacted fiverr, they told me talk to the seller. Seller sold his account to an other Indian company/person. Fiverr said they can't help with that. I was like WTF.
He hacked me through Facebook with a fake account thencextorted me for 700$ Fiverr. Kicked. Me. Off. Me
I've just been scammed on Fiverr. Turns out the 'original and bespoke' logo's I was paying significantly more than $5 for, were just being copied from the websites of other companies around the globe. If you have bought anything on Fiverr, do a few very detailed image searches now, before it's too late and your company gets sued for copyright breaches.
No one has money and time to waste but for fiverr they love wasting everyone's time and money especially because they're thieves. They only care about stealing your money and not give you any service, let the lying thieves get away with all glory man what type of website is that can you tell me, they pride on preying for people who don't want slave away their lives and do something for themselves not others. How can you have a company who preys on people that need certain things for their business. They shouldn't have a reputable company if they can't take care of the scamming and flawd service

I ordered a service on Fiverr and I paid $1,200 even though the seller received only $800. Why does Fiverr charge 50%? You would think it's for the customer service but their response waiting time is at least 3 days.
I decided that I wanted to creae a website and utilized Fiverrs services to do so. I contacted the seller attached, and he promised the stars, the moon and the sky. He promised he was able to deliver on everything I requested and promised that I will be happy with the end result. Based on his reviews, I felt that he understood my vision and was able to deliver. Well he didn't. I was completely unstatisfied with the website he provided, and when I requested changes to make it the way I requested, he told me that it would cost additional money, even though he agreed to everthing I requested from the begining. Don't let these reviews fool you. Some of these sellers have been around long enough and know how to play the system and are extremely manipulative. BEWARE of the seller below.
First, I'd like to start out by saying that I have used Fiverr for a long time. It has given freelancers around the world a platform to find customers quickly. I love the idea behind Fiverr, I like its platform, and sometimes even the customer support.
Recently, I started selling through Fiverr's "Logo Maker" feature which is in the beta. However, after receiving two warnings in quite a quick succession, my account was temporarily disabled while they perform an account review. Both of the warnings were for essentially "pliagiarism". Here's the thing, we have professional designers, who have worked with some of the biggest companies around the world. Not only do we create original work, we check our work for copies via reverse image searches before uploading anything for sale to Fiverr.
Each time we received a warning from Fiverr, we were not given any additional information on what other design exists that is similar or the same. As a designer, you can easily come up with a similar or sometimes even nearly identical design as someone else. As a great designer, you'll have your logo stolen and sold by other designers. There are many different scenarios. However, without knowing what the other design is, it's impossible to tell.
After reviewing our account, Fiverr disabled it permanently citing us as having violated their terms of service.
We are a professional team of designers with a combined experience of 100 years in design. It is possible that someone stole our work and had posted it somewhere and it could've been explained or resolved quickly by letting us know where the work appears.
Additionally, the design was flagged by their automated system. The two warnings were automatic. The system could have made an error as well. Maybe at least 1 of the warnings was not accurate, and thus, our account would have not been closed permanently.
At a time where we relied on income from Fiverr to get us through this rough time we are all going through, we found very little compassion or even effort to try to resolve anything.
We'd love for Fiverr to take a few minutes to discuss how to reenable our account. We want to continue to bring value to the platform and its customers.
Hello friends, I know there have many gigs on Fiverr. But I have found the best facebook marketing expert on Fiverr. Who boost my sales within 60 days. I love his service (www.fiverr.com/samdotdesign)
First of all if you're looking to hire someone for something lewd to write, don't say anything in the chat to your hiree about details because they'll flag your account as inappropriately talking in chat. Plus a lot of the buyers seem to just be desperate people trying to make a quick buck while not listening to you and writing their own thing. Do not use this site.
I have a very bad experience of Fiverr as a buyer. On Fiverr you are gambling. You will win or you will lose.
Here is what I have learned as a buyer on Fiverr.
1) You cannot trust the seller even if he has brilliant reviews.
2) Fiverr is just a money making machine and this company does not at all care about its customers.
3) Customer service has no phone number! So you cannot speak to a real person but just write.
4) Customer service is using templates(!) when answering your messages and nobody cares or nobody reads what you are writing and what problems you have. You get the same "predesigned template" responses all the time.
5) Though it says on Fiverr's website that they have Customer Support 24/7, it's not true. To my 1st email for help I got a response after 4 days!
6) You as a buyer will never get a refund if something goes wrong with your order.
7) The seller will NEVER CANCEL your order (as per my experience) as the seller's ranking will be negatively affected.
8) If you will not be happy with your order revisions, you will be told all the time by the seller and Customer Service that "the seller has delivered everything which has been associated with the original scope of work"! So you will never be able to convince them that the things you are requesting to be done are related to your original order.
9) The seller, the buyer and Customer Service have 3 days to reply to messages. In case you as a buyer will forget to reply to the seller within 3 days, your order will be automatically marked as completed and your funds will be transferred to the seller.
10) If your order will be cancelled you will not get your funds back(!) but they will be refunded to your shopping balance on Fiverr!
11) Your dispute on Fiverr can go on and on and on for weeks without any results.
Finally, if you are a gambler and do have time and can afford losing money you might want to try Fiverr. As for me, I cannot afford losing my time, my patience and my money twice. So I will stay away from Fiverr.
Cannot Cancel orders once submitted - strange software. In Help and Support - in my Orders there is Cancellations - but since there are no cancellations in my account it does not open that up. Irrespective - once submitted an order it cannot be cancelled. Sometimes turn around time is less than 16 hrs - when you need item clearly within the next few hrs - I just submitted an order and now cannot cancel it
Answer: I used Fiverr for my company logo. The guy lives in Vietnam and speak minimal English. I paid for an upgraded package with an unlimited amount of revisions, 3 original logos, stationary and Facebook as well as Twitter page covers. What does unlimited mean if a revision takes 24 hours and each revision is correcting spelling mistakes or telling him you don't want a green dog in your logo, I want a natural looking dog. His response is "you choose font and gives you a pale old lady stockings colour dog" instead of a white Dalmatian with black dots or a brown German Shepard. In the end I used an online translator to translate my requests from English to Vietnamese. He told me to sketch something and he'd make something. If I could sketch something then I would do my own logo. The one logo that I liked was the one I gave him all my ideas for. All he did was put it together in the right format. I was so frustrated with his other two attempts that I said ok give me the first logo with stationary and everything I've paid for. I got the most basic design, no stationary or headers. Did I go through customer service? OF COURSE! Throughout this whole ordeal. I described every little detail. Each time a different person would reply and say "I can understand your frustration and I will contact him". Only to have him return with the same dog in orange or turquoise and every time customer service would spit out the same line "I can understand your frustration and I will contact him. We see he is responding to you within 24 hours so for us that means you are trying to work things out. I want my money back! Sorry we can't give you your money back. The seller has received his money and its up to him to give you any money back if he so chooses. It was a dreadful experience. I ended up using an online logo maker and I loved it. PLUS it actually cost less. I'm now doing my own website. If you have the patience then try to do it yourself. Do NOT skimp on your website. The way the world is run today you want your website and all social media presence to correctly reflect your quality. If at the end I'm not happy with my website I will go to a professional and pay what it costs. Hope this helped and good luck
Answer: I know I have to wade through a lot of questionable sellers to get a good one. Happy hunting. There are good ones out there though.
Answer: All I can say id Fiverr is the BIGGEST SCAM going. Had to dispute the charges through my bank to get the money back
Answer: Stay far away from fiverr. I paid a guy to do some work and proved with third party techniques they used bots for fake views to my site. Yet this guy had many many great reviews. You cannot trust this site whatsoever. Stick with paypal as you most likely will get nowhere with fiverr.
Answer: If you want a site designed to steal credit card data from hard-working, civilized people, please use Fiverr. It is designed for one thing: to take your credit card data and leave you to deal with a mess. More details, reply or search for my previous posts.
Answer: I can only imagine you got swindled and feel bad about the fact you trusted someone. Don't feel bad, you did nothing wrong. There are sites who take the time to vet their sellers and then there are sites like Fiverr who let's anyone to join with zero check on their credentials. The entry into selling on Fiverr is so easy that it borders on ridiculousness. Anyone can lie about their location, experience, education, and just about any credentials. Some of them are really clever and mask their fake profile pictures and gig descriptions really well. Fiverr is so secretive about their vetting process, which I seriously doubt there is anything in writing, that you can't trust it. The seller's level is a joke - I've gotten cheated by ones with thousands of reviews. How they received literally a thousand or more review is mind boggling. Go back and check again, you'll notice like 99.9% of the million or so sellers all have 5 star reviews. All legitimate businesses have a combination of good and bad reviews, most average around 3/5 or if they are a really great business 4/5 but for a large company with like a million or so freelancers with zero credentials having 5/5 pretty much tells you there is something wrong. Like I said, you did nothing wrong. I hope you didn't lose too much money. Their philosophy is "We don't care how crappy the delivery was as long as the seller delivered you don't get your money back."
Answer: The answer is plain simple NO! You will get your followers, yes! But they are all bots, so you will lose 90% of the followers the same week, might as well throw this 5 bucks in the air.
Answer: There is very little in the world that is unique. You have to trust or spend a lot more $$$ or do it yourself
Answer: I would suggest having nothing whatsoever to do with Fiverr. When things go wrong - and that happens a LOT - there is no customer support line to call. They make it very difficult (in my own case, impossible) to resolve any problems. Read the evaluation reviews- they are extremely negative. My advice: find another site on which to offer your services. DG
Answer: I've had 28 orders and all but two were very satisfactory. Most were PDFform building or business card templates, but I had s few design logos for me then used the one I liked. Buyers: it's cheap. Remember that. When the service is good I tip generously then use the same person. I get great service, often in one day. When I order, I add express service and have yet to be disappointed. It's a business model without customer service. Face it. If you want customer service, go to Nordstroms or Nieman Marcus. Do a better job selecting your service provider; be clear in the order, and overpay.
