My Fitbit Charge HR fell apart after 13 months - the band came away from the screen and the screen was even splitting apart. Customer service wasted my time for 40 minutes asking questions before telling me they wouldn't replace it because it was out of warranty, no negotiating.
After only 9 months my band started pulling away from the face exposing the workings. I contacted Fitbit and although there was no warranty, I still had my dated receipt for my Fitbit. They said there was nothing they could do... not even a "sorry you experienced a problem with our product". I am so disappointed.
I had my fitbit for almost a year and the dubber started pulling away from the sensor. I talked to customer service via chat on their website. They quickly looked into my fitbit and notified me that I was still in 1 year warranty period and they would replace it for free or offer me 50% discount off of a new model. I was very impressed with how easy the replacement process was. Fitbit has great customer service!
STAY AWAY FROM FITBIT
If 0 stars was an option they would have received it. FitBit has a major support loophole, in which they provide faulty replacements for faulty trackers, which they will not replace.
After 2 faulty trackers (neither of which lasted 8 months), the company is now telling me I need to pay ~$100 for one of their "new and improved" models. New and improved? How about you build trust with the customers that believed in you before assuming they will keep filling your pockets? I have no faith in this company, and seeing as their stock price has dropped 81% since my first tracker, neither do investors.
I see now why the reviews are so terrible. I spent $200 on a fitbit blaze and after 2 months it stopped doing what it advertised. It doesnt hold a charge for more than 3 days, the step count is way off and it takes a solid 4 minutes to sync. I called and complained and after numerous emails back and forth they finally agreed to send me a replacement one and guess what? The "new replacement" is not syncing at all! I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app and still nothing! It also dies after 2 1/2 days and I dont use the notifications from my phone or keep the all day sync on. Piece of garbage and a complete rip off. Don't get reeled in by the name. There are many competitors worth looking in to.
Will not stand behind their products. Horrible company. Cheat products not designed to last. Read reviews before you buy it. Many consumers experiencing frustrations.
The band material is defective and although they are willing to replace them for 1 yr from original purchase, they replace them with the same defective material. They are unwilling to acknowledge there is an issue and either refund or upgrade the device. I and my family have gone through 10 Charges /HR and now we will be going to a different device. They should be ashamed of their products.
Will not cover return shipping regardless of issue. Even if I want to exchange for a different product, I still lose money on returning the original product. This is just bad customer service
I have had my Fitbit for two years. It still runs good but is useless without a band. Bought extended warranty through Sports Authority which no longer is in business and Fitbit won't honor it and you can't buy a replacement band. They did offer a small discount if I bought a new one. Quality of things just isn't what it used to be.
I had the Fitbit for a little over a year and it cracked in half. They were only able to offer a 25% discount when I called the customer service line. Terrible service and terrible product DO NOT BUY!
Got a fit bit two years go, but it broke down and would not work 10 months later. JH HI FI, the place of purchase replaced it, but the new one stopped working 13 months later. They would not replace it as it was must out of warranty.
I contacted Fitbit who told me they are aware of the battery charging problem...
"We are aware of charging-related issues presented by some Charge trackers. Our engineering team has been working on that matter in order to provide our customers with more durable and reliable devices."
They then offered me a 25 per cent discount on a new one as my warranty had just run out.
I said no way. Two of their devices had broken down just before or just after 12 months use, so why would I want another one?
These devices are too unreliable and Fitbit, and the retailers who have told me heaps of them are returned after breaking down, should not be selling a faulty product and ripping customers off.
Good luck if you buy one, you'll need it.
I had the Charge HR for 3 months before it broke. They sent a replacement and the caller ID wouldn't show up till after the call was done. Called Fitbit and they said it was a problem with my phone. Funny how I didn't change any of the settings and the fitbit from before work just fine. Doesn't matter though, the fitbit fell apart and will not charge now. I called the warranty department for a replacement and they stated thay it was out of the 30 day replacement warranty. So how do you have a year warranty of it breaks in 3 months and the replacement only has a 30 day warranty. Don't be upset people, they will be than happy to sell you a upgraded model for 25% off and it comes with the same great 1 year warranty.
The buckle on my Charge Fitbit came off and needed replacing. I called Fitbit who were very helpful and able to confirm where and when I'd bought it. I'm still under a one year warranty. I was requested to take a picture of the watch in its broken state and email it to Fitbit. Fitbit then said they didn't have that model in my size and colour and I had two options. One was to have 30% off the price of another model or two to have a replacement with no charge of the Alta model and I could choose from a selection of colours in my size. This was just a few days ago and my new Fitbit has been shipped and on its way with no payment. I'm delighted and what excellent service xx
Worst customer service ever! Ordered a fitbit charge 2 almost a month ago the Fitbit they sent me would not sync. I was told to return it to them because they could not fix the problem. Since then there has been numerous phone calls and emails and I do not have a Fitbit yet. Every time I speak to them I'm told to wait! How long does someone have to wait for their expensive product? It has been almost a month do not buy from this company ever!
Three of us got Charge HRs for Christmas in 2015, were excited, and thought they were great... UNTIL THEY STOPPED WORKING OR FELL APART. My son and daughter-in-laws literally fell apart within six months, and mine just stopped working after about 9 months! We all tried contacting the company, but NEVER GOT A RESPONSE, so their warranty is useless. BUYER BEWARE!
Had my Fitbit charge HR for a year and a half, and the button fell out. I called about the problem and she explained that heir warranty only lasts for a year. She said we can offer you a 25% discount on a new charge HR2, because we don't sell the charge HR anymore. So another $100 for it to only last another yr and a half. I said no thank you, I'll be buying an Apple Watch!
I have been trying for 10 hours to make anyone at Fitbit customer service understand I cannot receive an email to reset my password. I have live chatted with Flor and talked with Choi and neither understand nor are willing to help. Buy anything but a Fitbit!
I have been trying for several days to reset my fitbit password. I keep getting a link that asks for my email address but I never get the email to reset my password. I been on the phone with customer support 3 times today and still no HELP!. Fitbit customer support is useless. I wish I had know this before I purchased their product!
Don't buy a Fitbit bangle!
I tried to buy a bangle in November and despite repeated assurances that it would be delivered before Christmas, and then January, we are now in February and there's still no sign of it.
The Customer Support team are entirely and consistently incompetent. The latest email when I requested an update of my order which was last "promised" to arrive in January simply said, and I quote;
Hi John,
Reply to this email to let us know if we can further assist you in regards to your inquiry:
Re: Shipping Update on your Fitbit Flex 2 Bangle Order (*******)
Sincerely,
Fitbit Support
As I said, totally incompetent.
So, if you don't want months of hassle and aggravation don't buy Fitbit products!
This is by far the best company ever. Amazing customer service. I am going to be a loyal customer for life. I bought a fitbit. After years it stopped working. Which is normal for any product out there. I called fitbit customer support and I explained my situation to them and without hesitation they replaced my old fitbit with not just a new one but it was a newer product then my old fitbit. I got it in the mail in literally 2 days. Other companies please take notes. This company knows what they're doing and they're doing it just right. Thank you so much fitbit. I'm extremely pleased.
