Fishing Booker was very convenient for us to use for reserving our family fishing trip while on vacation at OBX!
Was on vacation and had some open time so decided to see if we could book a fishing trip. Found FishingBooker which made it easy to review and compare some local guides. On a Sunday afternoon I was able to book a trip for Monday morning. The guide was excellent! Will use FishingBooker again.

I'd spoken with Troy (management?) the night prior to taking customers out. Troy did not advise that the head was out on the boat we were to use. We only learned after being underway.
Significantly, even more because I'd prepaid (in cash—Kinn's asks for pmt. Up front) including 4/2day licenses. Upon the finish of our trip (w/embarrassing boat handling)…. It was clear that -no- fishing licenses had been prepared. The DNR was shorted as the young man running the boat advised that they "only needed one". That excess money merely went to Kinn's (or somewhere else unknown to me). I love to use charter fishing for entertainment. These guys will get no referrals or come-backs from me.

We take reports like this and followed up with the captain about the head and the licenses to understand what happened. He informed us that the head was temporarily out of service due to the backlog of orders nationwide caused by Covid, but that it's now back up and running. He also let us know that licenses were offered to the group, but several people left without filling them out due to their sea sickness. He's very sorry you didn't have a good experience and has offered you a discount on a future trip. You've also received credit from us to go towards a future trip anywhere in the world. We hope you'll fish through us again and that we can show you an experience that's memorable for all the right reasons!
They went out of their way to accommodate us even though we were pretty new to charter fishing. Will definitely use them again!

The captain of our trip was very knowledgeable and provided clear and helpful instructions to enhance our experience. I took my two boys, ages 11 & 12, and he was very patient with us, put the bait on all the rods, and handled all the fish we caught. Very nice and accommodating.

My wife was able to find local fishing charter and my son along with myself had a good experience from the trip we took recently. There is an additional fee on top of the charter fee from the company you make reservations with but, that maybe the cost of using this app.
Overall worked as expected.

Can't say enough about the captain and first mate. They made sure everyone got a fish. Did I mention it was 44 inches caught by our 11 yr old grandson. Will definitely be back. Highly recommend. We got king mackerel, Spanish mackerel and barracuda

Best experience my wife and I have ever had. Shawrey did not disappoint. We got plenty of fish and the best tasting Mudcrab we have ever eaten. We got value for money, had some laughs, but most of all caught some great fish. Best day of our entire holiday and that is saying something because we had a lot of other fantastic days. Boat broke down about 8 miles out when halibut are 30-60 mile out from harbor. Captain filled up gas while we lost time in morning 1.5 hours started at 7:00 am broke at 10:00, got in harbor at 1:00 pm. Trip was to be from 6:30- 4:30. First time ever out of 17 years this happened and did not get refunded. These guys are bad for business

Strangely, our records say that you didn't fish with them through FishingBooker, but that you did have a good trip with the service you did book through us – Kachemak King Fishing Charters. We checked with Melissa from Kachemak King and she informed us that you had a successful trip and caught your limit of halibut. Is this correct?
If you also fished with Red Door Charters and you booked under a different name or email, please let us know and we'll see how we can help with the refund and following up with the captain. Unfortunately, we can only step in with refunds and escalations when the trip was booked on FishingBooker, as otherwise we don't have any knowledge of the booking and the transaction, and the deposit would not have been made through our secure system. So, if you booked with them directly, I'd suggest taking up the issue with the captain so you can be reimbursed for the time you didn't fish.
