Your website really made my search for a fishing charter much easier. I was able to review and evaluate the possible fishing charters and pick the one that was the best fit. I appreciate all the information you provided about the charter. The interface between your site and the captain Cerrone was perfect making it easy to communicate and be prepared for the fishing excursion. We had a fantastic experience with Sure Thing Sportfishing. Captain Vito was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The weather couldn't have been better and everyone had a great time reeling in some very large salmon. I would recommend Sure Thing Sportfishing to anyone who wants to try to catch some big fish and enjoy a fantastic time on Lake Ontario. This fishing event will talked about in our family for years to come!
We booked a trip for 4 adults and 5 children ranging from 9 yrs old - 14 yrs old. We had a wonderful time and caught many fish. The crew was fantastic and we kept them busy baiting and taking fish off the lines. Sometimes we have 3 or 4 people have fish on the line at the same time. Great experience.

Was a good day. Didn't like how the captain kept moving about. We just started catching fish. Not many keepers. But with a 8 year old with us. It was great! Then the next spot. Same thing happened. The young man Joel was great! He was very attentive to our needs and helped out great. He was very friendly. Seemed like old friends by the time we were back on land.

We decided not to go out to the area for deep sea fishing because of very high surf. Captain Williams did not charge us for the attempt.

ZERO stars! According to CL Guide service & Cap. Gabe, he was never informed of our 1/2 day reservation made the day before by Fishingbooker.com. We were sent several confirmation texts! My husband & 2 boys bought sun shirts & were so excited for their outing. After waiting 1/2 an hour and contacting via email (the only way to contact) he responded that he was never told. When my husband asked about the deposit, no response. The people at the pick up location called to the restaurant next door where he was eating and they said he had already finished eating & was gone. Who's at fault? No one made it right. ***Make sure you contact the captain & hopefully he won't be dining on your deposit money during his free time. Extremely disappointed and TERRIBLE (non)experience.

We’re terribly sorry that your family had to go through such an experience. Not showing up for a confirmed booking is unacceptable, and we completely understand your disappointment.
As you might know, all our bookings trigger an automated series of notifications that are sent to you and your captain. We notify each captain of a new booking via text, email and app notification. At this time, we also share your full contact details with the captain so that you can touch base. We’re truly sorry that this didn’t happen in time.
Rest assured that we take no-shows very seriously and have started an internal process with the captain in question.
As for your deposit, please note that we never keep it if you don’t actually go fishing. This amount has been fully refunded to you by our Customer Support several days ago. We know that this can’t make things entirely right, but we’ve also applied credit to your account as a small gesture of apology.

Thanks for your review. From what we understand, you had two trips booked with the same captain. One took place on July 14th and had to be cut short due to your schedule, which you confirmed with the captain. The second trip was due to take place on July 18th, but the captain cancelled due to mechanical issues. The deposit for this trip was refunded to you.
Safety is our biggest concern at FishingBooker, both for captains and customers. Unfortunately, mechanical issues can happen last minute, which is why we make sure your deposit is protected and returned to you ASAP in the event of such a cancellation.
Once your captain canceled this second trip due to mechanical issues, he reached out to let us know that you changed your review for the first trip from 5 stars to 1 star. He sent us confirmation that you asked him to refund half of the previous trip's balance, or you would change your review to a lower score. Our Customer Happiness team reached out to you with this information and let you know that we'd be removing your review.

It was one of the rougher days I've been a boat. 8 foot swells all over. I really appreciated the captain and mate doing all they did to get us on a few fish and make sure everyone had a good time.

Well this was a fellas trip that we planned month back. This was our first time going deep sea fishing and do to the guide we had it was a very unpleasant experience. Our guide got into it with another guide and it was very unprofessional. He was also impatient and ruled. Needless to say we will go ago but we will never use that guide again.

Captain Beau and Harrison on the Crude Intentions boat are first class from meeting you on the dock to return and cleaning your fish. The treated the Hook Line & Heroes Wounded Warriors and staff like special guests all day. We will definitely use the again in the future!

Booking with Fishbooker went fine, very satisfied with them and my experience with them. My fishing charter was terrible.
I have been on numerous fishing charters in the past and I know what to expect on a charter.
The boat was very dirty and out of order. We were not giving any safety briefing before leaving the dock! We were not told where the restroom was or how to use it. Before the charter we were told to bring all the food and drinks we would like.
You can't expect a group to be on a boat for over six hours without needing to use the restroom. After asking about using the restroom, my daughter found that the toilet was out of order/not working!
Even though I have lots of experience fishing, I think the captain or first mate should explain what the equipment is for and why it is used.
We trolled around for hours with the captain or first mate not saying a word. I tried to engage in a conversation with them with little response.
People in my group actually dosed off during the trip. At the end of the trip the first mate and captain explained nothing to us, they just started taking in the gear and we started heading back to the marina. I know catching fish on a charter is not a guarantee but I did expect to catch more than two fish. I became more disappointed when I saw other boats bringing fish into the marina.
Catching fish is a small part of the experience, a captain and first mate can make or break a trip. They need to realize that they are in the entertainment business, it seemed to me that they didn't care about our experience and they were happy to drop us off at the dock and go home.

As for the toilet being out of service, we were informed by the captain it was in fact working, but that a switch needed to be used to turn on the water flow. This is pretty common on boat toilets, but still, it should have been clearly communicated to you along with a safety brief.

We had some trouble getting started as the engine was not performing perfectly. We were about a 1/2 mile out and the captain turned around and went back to the marina. They changed the fuel filters and we set off again. It was about a 45 minute delay, we headed out and caught some Mahi before lunch. We had a dry spell from around 11:30 until 2:10 when we had a strike from a marlin (that the captain estimated between 300 and 350 lbs.) on a TLD 50 and the reel was not much of a match. We did not land it but it was my first time having a marlin on and I'm hooked to keep coming back until I can touch the leader. We didn't talk much to the captain as he was up on the bridge but the first mate was awesome. It was a great experience that we will repeat. Also the captain stayed out and gave us the full 8 hours.

Answer: Scam. Fishingbooker is a rip off. Nothing but trouble. No customer service and they charge your credit card. Look out.

There are captains who offer departure times based on the cruise timetables and can get you back on time. I'd suggest you message the charters you'd like to go out with and inquire about this.
