I am a paying member on this site for one month. Out of over 80 profiles I have been in contact with ony 3 have turned out not to be fake and out of that 3 only one is suspected to not be a scammer and that one is not confirmed yet, she seems like the real deal and has me wrapped around her little finger. If this one turns out to be a scammer it is going to break my heart.
I have reported fake profiles but so far they have done nothing to remove them and it has been days
Alot of those inboxing you will always try to get you to sign up to some other dating site again, where you will be required to pay again. Dont waste your time and money.
In this website 80% profiles are fake and scammers there. But real people also there.
Most hated thing is the customer service after we pay we can chat there but from the customer service they suspending the profile teling by
4.10 Negative covenants
You represent, warrant and covenant that:
(b) you will not use the Service to engage in any form of harassment or offensive behaviour, including but not limited to the distribution of any sexually and/or racially offensive, abusive, threatening, vulgar, obscene, harassing, libelous, slanderous, defamatory or objectionable material of any kind, nor any unlawful or illegal material, or any material that infringes or violates another party's rights (including, but not limited to, intellectual property rights and privacy rights);
But when we ask to show any single messages or word as they telling we violating there website terms but they never show always comes same respond from the customer service only we violated the web site Terms Of Use only that they tells they never send any proof when we ask.
So this so useless pay and talk in this all the cupidmedia apps and websites
Until they get payment they wait then suspend your account
Signed up for a 3 month subscription, was permanently suspended in 4 days.
"As you have indicated on your account, you are not seeking members for the aforementioned reasons. Your profile has therefore been permanently removed and cannot be reactivated".
First, they approve all profiles before they become active, and 2nd, nothing on my profile stated either way. I got LOTS of messages from what seemed to be bots, fake ID's and some really homely profile pictures. Only 1 picture on each profile.
I was banned after I put a word at the end of my profile, stating, if you send a message, start with this word so I know you read my profile.
Next morning my profile was banned permanently.
As of mid January 2023 I've been on this app for 2 weeks and I've experienced that 99% are fake profiles that are attempting to groom you for some kind of scam.
I'm savy enough that I have not given them any money but I do regret paying for membership on the app simply because it has been a huge waste of time.
The scam model of operation is to approach you on the app then move the conversation to WhatsApp. Here you will hear every possible excuse that their camera is not working or the sound is not working. The scam ends here with me but I imagine other users may continue until the whole thing ends up in tears. Sometimes there is video contact but it lasts for mere seconds, the person on the video is not quite the person you thought you were talking with, and within seconds an excuse comes up to end the video conversation, and that will be the last contact.
The other type of scam is of a sexual nature, and I think it's some kind of extortion attempt. You will be approached on the app with the message 'Do you want to cum?'. Then the conversation shifts to WhatsApp where I've witnessed a woman touching herself between the legs right in front of the camera and at all times urging you to do the same. I'm guessing that the whole thing is taped and you will be blackmailed. I was laughing my head off at the whole show and it promptly ended. I could write a book at how good these people are at this. You think I'm joking...try it for yourself.
I have been on this site about 4 months and everyone who chatted with me asked for money after one week. All total I've been Scammed for almost $10,000. I met a Ladyboy dressed as a woman and as I was about to Visit her she revealed herself to me. I would like to shut this fake dating site down.
I have bought their paid membership but in less than 24 hrs they blocked my messaging app saying it has been disabled for 24 hrs to avoid spam. When i contacted them they said its their policy and number of mesaage is calculated automatucally by system and they cant do anything. So beaware of taking their memebrship as u will be disabled for 24 hr from messaging and in middle of conversation u will find stuck. Also there are many fake accounts.
I met my wife on FilipinoCupid in August of 2019. I was fortunate to visit her and her family in the Philippines a couple of times before the lockdowns began. We got married in Dubai in July of 2021. The process of bringing your Filipina wife or fiancé to the US takes time, but my wife arrived in the US in April of 2022. We could not be happier!
Did I encounter potential scammers on the site asking for money? Yes, but you will find that on any dating site. Did my wife encounter potential scammers on the site just looking for a holiday girlfriend or video sex? Yes, but again, there are players and perverts on every dating site.
Initially, you will experience a kind of "high" from all the attention you get. Feel free to enjoy that experience, but you can't really get to know someone unless the two of you agree to be exclusive and really focus on trying to get to know one another.
One thing to note. There is no such thing as divorce in the Philippines. If you meet a woman that is married and separated from her Filipino husband, she will have to get an annulment (from the Philippine government, not the Catholic Church) before you can bring her to the US on a spousal or fiancé visa. Annulments in the Philippines take time (the quickest I am aware of was about 6 months, but most take 1.5 - 2 years or more). They also take money (around $5000 USD, more money than most Filipina's can afford). Please keep this in mind if the woman you are getting to know is separated, lacks the funds to file for an annulment, or you are unwilling to help her financially or wait out the process.
Be skeptical of individuals promising quick and inexpensive annulments. Many Filipina's fall victim to annulment scams! The US government will attempt to verify the validity of the annulment during the immigration process, and some women only discover they were scammed when their visa application is denied.
If you do your due diligence, FilipinoCupid is a great site to meet an amazing Filipina woman. The 7000+ islands in the Philippines are full of them!
Seriously, 100's of contacts all wanting "serious long term relationship" then they all want money! Some try to lure you onto other premium sites, $28 to receive their video calls. I'm positive they get commission from these sites. Not a single contact so far has been real. Watch out for Skype requests, lol I didn't know it still existed. You will hear every possible sob story going, medical, food, pawned her guitar, you name it you will hear it. Save yourself the money and don't bother.
I am a Platinum member of FilipinoCupid.
Variety of genuine women looking for long term serious relationships. I've seen a lot of negative reviews saying the woman are nothing but scammers. In my experience this is not true. Are there scammers? Absolutely. But most of the women on the site are generally looking for love. Will some women ask for money? Yep. But don't send money to people you haven't met in person. The Philippines is not a first world country. Most of the population is poor and there are not a lot of jobs to be found. The jobs there are, pay an average $8 a day. So of course, any unexpected expenditure is tough on them. Guys, do a little research or better yet, go visit the Philippines to see for yourself. Your lack of being educated on the Philippines is not a problem with the Filipino Cupid website. If you are looking for fun or hook ups don't bother with this website, go to Tinder. These women are not looking for you. They can find all that in Filipino males. Be kind, polite, understanding and respectful and you will meet plenty of genuine women. Also, for those complaining of being billed, they tell you very clearly when signing up for a paid membership that you are on auto renew. All you have to do is go to your settings under payments and turn off auto renew. If you fail to read and understand what you are committing to, that is your problem and not the sites.
Pros
Many real women looking for a committed long-term relationship.
Yearly membership is a bargain compared to a lot of other sites.
With paid membership, reverse matches and mutual matches are very beneficial.
Cons
Most search functions don't give enough options.
Lack of detailed profiles among Filipinas
No video chat on site
Tips to avoid scammers
Don't send money to people you have not met in person
If their profile lists a location outside of the Philippines, be very cautious. Almost all residing in United States and China profiles are scammers.
Don't disrespect the women here by asking for nudes or sex chat or they will disrespect you right back by taking your money.
If they want to take you off site to Google chat or Whatsapp immediately, don't. Stay on the site. It makes it difficult for site admin to remove scammers if they cannot see the messages.
Follow your gut feeling. It's almost always right.
I hope my review was helpful to those of you on the fence considering buying a paid subscription.
Lots of fakes, lots of scammers, Filipino Cupid slow/negligent in removing profiles that are reported as fake. Perhaps it's to get subscription from men who think the girls are real. To be fair, I have met several women who are genuine, but I would say over 90% are looking for money. Beware
LONG TIME USER, BEWARE 60% OF PROFILES ARE SCAMMERS, WANT YOU TO JOIN SKYPE OR WHATSAPP AND THEN WANT YOU TO PAY TO CAM THEM OR FOR PHOTOS. MAJORITY ARE AGED 18-29.30+ SEEM MORE LEGIT. JUST BE AWARE...
Scammers abound. Scammers ask you to move off site to an alternate messaging app, then beg for money.
Any china profile is scammer. They ask your phone number, or mail, because there in china dont work other applications. But is scam. They want only your phone number/mail. Also any other report for others type of scammer do for zero result, rarely they delete the profile. Is like they want to keep the scammers. Sometimes i have to do 3 reports or more only for one profile, and at least they delete the profile. But after how long time? That is worst for clients and for site.
Somebodys(probably angry young Asian males) are constantly putting up fake profiles (using jpegs of beautiful Chinese women). It's been going on for years and FC does little or nothing to police the problem. If you've been on the site a while you can begin to see the patterns. Why do they do it? Jealousy(towards white males). Anger. Low-self esteem. Too much time on their hands. I would NEVER join this site. Easily the worst Asian dating site out there.
All the women the I contacted and/or contacted me turned out to be fake. This goes for the "Verified" women as well. One "Verified" women on the site disappeared/deactivated her profile as soon as she got my WhatsApp number. I mean in like 2 minutes. The do not refund money either, not if you sent one like, message, or any other contact, they will not refund. The are a total scam!
Shocking website totally full of girls scamming for $$ and trying to get you to join a partner site as well so you can "see them". Seriously it's a total waste of time so please don't bother.
I assure you any pretty girl you contact will soon come back asking you to join other sites which of course you need to pay for the privilege.
The site was ok many years ago but after re-joining recently it's obvious it's full of scammers. Sad but true
Most of the Filipinas on this site will not only start asking you for money, they will keep asking you for money. Don't bother with it.
First never, never send money to anyone you haven't met in person. What I have done is use the free feature to gather possible profiles.
Then right before you're ready to visit pay for one month only. Contact them and weed out the scammers. Set up meetings and have fun. Be smart about it.
