Warranty denied
January 19, 2024

Lifetime warranty? How about no! I asked for a simple repair and they never responded to my simple repair request. I work for the largest LEO agency in California and I'll be sure to tell everyone to not buy this product EVER! Too bad, it was a fun light until it FAILED. Surefire or Streamlight now I guess.

Abandoned customer service.
October 26, 2023

I am a long time Wildlife Control Agent in the State of Maine. I utilize lighting as an integral part of my job, dealing with Dangerous or sick animals. Flashlights to me are like a firearm to a Law enforcement officer. Recently after using my RC 40 light for about 5 or 6 years it stopped working. This product cost me over $300 to buy locally and was sold with a life time warranty. When contacting the company, because I bought the light at Willeys sporting goods in Ellsworth Maine and NOT directly from them, THEY TOLD ME NO WARRENTY, NOT EVEN ANY PARTS TO EVEN PURCHASE.
I feel FENIX falsely led me to have far more confidence in their product than was warranted at the price! Very dissapointed and concerned. Having to spend that much n money I would recommend folks to look at Streamlight instead of Fenix. Fenix just DOES NOT BACK UP THERE PRODUCTS.

Fantastic Durability!
April 27, 2023

The people saying that Fenix reliability sucks are full of it! These are so e of the best made heavy duty lights on the market! Im sitting here holding my TK20r and this thing is stout and built like a brick s--thouse! The tubing is thicker than anything Nitecore or Thrunite make and the duel rear switches is awesome engineering and Fenix also has the best responsive switches in the game! They are no higher priced than Nitecore or Acebeam! I have five of their torches and there still working without a hitch! Please STOP slandering this companys name! FENIX FOR LIFE!

Customers service no help
December 5, 2020

I recently purchased two Very expensive head lights. HM65R+EO1 V2.0
I asked for no repacks or opened boxes, they were to be gifts. When they arrived one box was ripped apart and the item was played with and put back in box. I am very angry because I told them no open boxes. I sent them a email explaining that I'm totally disabled and now I have to drag my body out to ship backed and I know longer wanted their products. Customer services will not respond. Fenix just another company doing business in China screwing the American people.

Steven,
We are very sorry for this experience that you've had. It was likely a mistake on the part of our shipping department. We do have Open Box products but you definitely should not have received one if you purchased a new item! Please reach out to our customer service team at the link below for help with a resolution.

BEWARE!
November 29, 2020

BEWARE! I contacted the company but Fenix store will only let you return a battery within 15 days! Now I'm stuck with a battery I'll never use.

Kathleen,
While it is true that our standard policy states that we only allow returns within 15 days (except in the case of defective products), we are more than happy to make reasonable exceptions when we can. However, you purchased this battery on 9/14 and tried to return it on 11/4. This is nearly 2 months later. We are not able to accept a return of a product that you have had in your possession for 2 months. If you need further assistance in the future we are more than happy to help. Have a great day!

RC 20 flashlight
January 19, 2020

I had a RC-15 that stopped working. I contacted the warranty department at Fenix and to make the story shorter I was sent an RC-20 as a replacement for the RC15. I wish I had gotten a RC-20 because I had several chargers for that model, but apparently no RC20's were available, for what ever reason. The first RC-20 was DOA. Back and forth with the warranty, trying to establish if it was the light or the battery. To me this is non-sense. Things breaking down is a fact of life, DOA is lack of quality control. Second one is sent in, I forgot what the problem was, but it didn't work either ( this has been about a year or so ago). I don't feel that I should have to keep a detailed log with every event for something as mundane as a flashlight. Third one is sent, a return label was issued, previous 2 lights are sent back to manufacturer. Well, I thought 3rd time is a charm. Not by any means. The problems I see with the RC-20 is that it didn't fit the old chargers, I'm not sure so much changing is actually better, not in my case. The location of the switch on the end cap, is not my favorite location because I'm old and the thumbs hurt to activate or change to light settings. Having 2 switches on the back cap, may work in theory, but in reality it is hard to do it. Light intensity keeps getting changed unintentionaly, I have big hands and almost impossible to reliably work the 2 switches as intended. Good idea, horrible execution There is on good point, one can check battery level with display LED, between charging poles.
And now for the final act, this freaking light has an intermittent problem, sometimes it turns on, or not turn on, then it doesn't turn off, or goes into strobe mode, all this at random. As far as use for as a tactical light it is a big zero. If you need to have something that must daze someone, or permit you to be concealed, forget this thing.
The last thing that you need is to have something that goes into flashing mode, when you don't want others to know where you are. I don't know if this is bad luck, poor design, execution of the project, or just cutting corners to be more profitable. Warranty department handling of the claim wasn't as smooth as I had from other light companies. Turn around however wasn't so bad.
I"m now back to contact the repair/warranty department and see what happens.
Definitely not a model that I would recommend, on the other hand the RC-15 worked very hard for a few years.

Customer service is very bad
June 4, 2019

I have, Today, called twice and still no call back. I have other times tried to call and request a call back and NEVER get a call back. My order is on hold for some unknown reason, and I cannot get an answer. Stay away if you might need service. Customer service is not part of their business.
