WRONGFUL TERMINATION

I worked at Family Dollar Tree at 2813 Greenmount Avenue, Baltimore MD ******* Store #2377
My name is Aliyah Burton was employed at this location since October 2022. I was really excited about working with this organization and in providing excellent customer to the community. The store is really needed in the community however, leadership is lacking in these areas (structure, direction, professionalism, and internal customer service). As the employee I do look forward to management sharing goals as well as constructive criticism... It's not okay for management or the leadership team to be a bully to the staff and create a hostile work environment. After several months of enduring this behavior, I came to work to have a discussion with the manager regarding my feelings - before I could share she begin screaming and became very irate also using her hands as gestures to make me afraid. At that point I felt fearful, so I stated to the manager that I'm putting in my 2 weeks resignation. At that point she got furious and told me to leave her store NOW. I feel that I'm owed my 2 weeks' pay because I officially resigned. I know that once an employee resigns and employer decides to accept my resignation immediately, I should be paid out. But more importantly, no employee should have to endure what I've endured these past few months.

Prices are misleading

I've been asking about this issue for months, but the manager refuses to update the price on the shelf compared with the price paid at the register. You pay more than $3.60 for a Starbucks iced coffee. But on the shelf it's advertised as $3.15! Again, two months have gone by since the price changed and I've asked about this at least once a week but I'm ignored. They seem to think it's all pretty amusing. This is store number *******, 332 Valley St. In Providence, Rhode Island. *******. Customer satisfaction is zero. Never going back there!

Release the footage you inhumane f4ckers.You have the evidence that will provide justice for this poor boy but your racist and won't bother to help the distressed family.Imagine it was you, especially with the fact that you guys preach on bible teachings yet you don't help your brothers and sisters of God.You can't pick and choose, everyone is equal.

In July of the previous year I ordered an ironing board online from Family Dollar but they failed to send me a confirmation email notifying me of its arrival. Because of Covid, many orders have been delayed so I understood and patiently waited. Weeks went by until I finally called the store and the manager Phoebe stated that it arrived weeks earlier but that she didn't have my phone number to notify me. However, Phoebe went above and beyond the call of duty to rectify the situation for me and I appreciate employees like her. She apologized even though it wasn't her fault and I spoke to her manager who also is an awesome manager. You can now gain access to any information you need from your lost or stolen smartphone using an advanced invention from mcraespy at outlook dot com for more. This is what stellar management looks like!

Okay, I can understand policy and hoped to get into the store a few minutes early. I had to eat something before taking meds. Clearly my fault for not having food at home. The unprofessional attitude and insisting that it's "her" store. It was like the twilight zone and family dollat no longer resided in that location. It was so disproportionate, like I bumped your postal mail box, by mistake...so you burn down my house with my kids inside. Is that the kind of employee you'd hire? FD's employees famously have no capacity for being calm. Just watch all the fights on youtube. Either thug like of simply psychotic people are managers and cashiers. I would bet that they have no training and most workers are just off the street. No one else would hire them. Well that woman and her store with her counter and her inventory and her unjustified ego can step off. Zero stars tough girl.

Poor Management

Great location I work near by,. HOWEVER, the shelves are almost never stocked and workers are casually standing around talking to each other as if they're on break., They obviously only greet black customers and will go out of their way to help them,ONLY THEM.it's kind of comical bc I'm sure they have middle school educations so I forgive them. But I completely feel I'd rather spend my hard earned money elsewhere.

My sister worked for Family Dollar as a store manager. She was required to work 6-7 days a week, sometime weeks without a day off. The reason, cheep company that does not allow enough staff and pay for staff is much lower than competitors. Never shopping there. I worked retail for years. Never had to work those hours and had plenty of staff. Terrible company, dont shop there

Respect poor people

I have no car. Single father to 3 toddlers. Family dollar wouldn't let me bring my shopping cart in the store. It has to remain outside while I shopped. I never complain or ask anything of anyone. I just want to buy my groceries and get them home before they thaw. News flash. If someone brings their buggy from home it's because they don't have a car.

Sale items

I downloaded the app. Clipped the coupons. Went to the Family Dollar could not find none of the items that were on sale. I asked a store associate and she said we don't have them or they're not out yet. She did not try to help me or find the items. And as I was looking on the shelf, there wasn't even a spot for what I was looking for that was on sale in the ad. I'm very disappointed in all the family dollars there's always stuff in the aisle and you can't get through them and you can't get what you want or the things that are on sale because they're not there.

High turnover on staff. Most helpful though and friendly. Not a safe store though. They let some of the homeless hang out in and outside store. Sounds real sweet of them but it's not. Customers are harassed both inside and outside the store. They get in your face.

I can't go in there anymore. I went in this one over 25 years. One homeless guy sneezed in my face. I asked if he had a Covid shot. Nope.
Guess who got covid. What if I had been someone's child or baby?

The store has always been poorly stocked anyway. Can't find clothes for women that are not XX or XXX LARGE. Poorly stocked and messy.

You guys lost me for a customer.

I enjoyed my cashier at Family Dollar/Dollar Tree however upon ending employment no one seems to be able to help me get a paycheck owed to me from 12/16/22.I corrected information of routing number for direct deposit and was told by Hr person I would receive my 12/16/22 pay on 12/30/22 because it was already sent back to payroll. Not only have I not received my pay but Hr person won't answer my calls and store Manager say she can't see my information.Today I was told by customer service if your no longer in system you will receive paper check in mail. Neither Hr or store Manager gave me this information.By the way you can't talk to a person in payroll you have to do email which can take up to ten days for a response.Still waiting on response about my 12/16/22 paycheck.

A 15 year old boy named Jaheim Mcmillan was shot outside the family dollar in Missisipi by officer Bryan L. Watson. Jaheim was unarmed and innocent but this racist officer killed him for no reason. The family dollar needs to release the unedited footage now. We need justice.
