Been paying my card off faithfully for over a year everytime I used it. I paid it off and then didn't look at the card again for a couple months. Come to find out I had a balance go over those two months when the rep from Commenity Bank calls demanding I pay the full balance of $200 when I never used my card after paying it off. I tell the rep I don't know who you are but I will pay the missed payments immediately while you are on the phone using the app because i don't trust random calls. I did so and then told her I will pay the next payment on time when it's due. She gets mad and tells me no I need to do the payment through her. I disagree and get off the phone. 2 months later she makes sure she sticks it to me and ruins my perfect 100% on time payments by reporting the missed payments to my credit report since I paid on the app and not through her and tanked my score 60 points. I will be paying this off and will not shop here again. I spent thousands here and they just lost it like that.

Placed an online order. Added a gift card plus my debit card. The whole order came out of my bank account. Called to have them correct their mistake only for them to tell me there's nothing they can do. I would need to reorder and return the 1st items when they get delivered! Wow it's 2018 Express, you need to improve your system up and customer service! Beyond dissatisfied!

After earning a $165 reward I purchased a few items and one of the items didn't fit, I Went to exchange it for a different size and the store didn't have it anymore so I was told I couldn't exchange it because I used rewards points... the associate to me to return the item and call customer service to get my points back... said they do it all the time... after speaking with an extremely rude customer service rep who told me I shouldn't have returned it and they don't give back points anymore I was obviously super mad that the girl at the store convinced me to return the coat and was left with nothing and horrible customer service!

I opened a card June 2017... had a 250 limit that I maxed. I been paying on time for over a year... I had a mishap with my other cc which is being fixed... even tho I never missed or was late with Express. They drop my credit limit to 150 bcuz of my dispute wit the other cc... I never missed or was late paying them for over a yr... they robbed me after I paid them punctually... $#*! EXPRESS AND COMMENITY BANK

So let's review. Checked out a cart full of items, took almost a week for them to decide not to fulfill two items (poor inventory control?), was promised I would not be charged, was charged anyways and no refunds were processed, customer service was rude and unapologetic, and then instead of processing a refund for items they never sent me but charged me for anyways, told me to go dispute the charge on my credit card with my bank. Basically they made no attempt to recognize or fix their own error. Maybe because they're profiting from it.

Also the quality of their clothes are terrible. I had one previous order from them where two shirts had holes in them after the first wash and another shirt had a ruined collar after the first wash.

Express.com will never get another penny out of me, and I will make sure as many people as possible know how dishonest of a company Express is. I guess they're trying to make up for the failed Canadian business venture by stealing money from their customers instead.

I don't know how many times I have been on the site for a few hours adding multiple things into my cart ($300-$400) worth of clothing and I get to the cart to checkout and it says I have nothing in my cart. It is infuriating. It isn't like I left and it timed out. Then when I go in and put a gift card in, it will take it and then something screws up. It won't let me checkout. I will then delete the gift card, log out, log back in and boom... it says my card is invalid. Come to find out, they put a hold on my card for two weeks. It finally came off hold after calling 5 times and I go to place another order. Yet again, my items disappeared twice. I was about to give up but I really wanted the items. I go to enter the gift card and it says the same error message and now it is on hold again. Doesn't make sense! Why bother allowing people to buy gift cards if they never work on your site? I'm so done with Express. I've spent thousands of dollars there over the years, but now I'm taking my hard earned money elsewhere.

I bought a pair of summer shorts recently. The front pockets are extremely shallow, lack depth, so you lose keys, cash, change, etc. Material of the shorts is a poor quality of cotton, very thin, fragile. I no longer wear the shorts, due to very high risk of losing things.

Order came extremely late. International processing fees when ordering from Canada. Cancelled items. Sluggish return system (still waiting after over a month). Checking my credit card pending transactions showed several charge corrections. Get your act together, Express. Find managers willing to invest in better staff training and hire skilled IT coordinators...

Got two things ordered from Express, and both times they arrived wrong.
The first time, I was in-store and asked an associate to order me 4S pants in black. When my pants finally showed up, they were in the wrong colour, and I went back and realized the associate had messed up. This time, I ordered a pair of pants in size 4S, and a pair sized 2S showed up at my door. I verified that my order said 4S, so it was a shipping error on Express's part. I know I could go ahead and file a self-service return, but this is absolutely ridiculous. Please take better care when shipping your products or with your ordering systems. Both times I have ordered things through express, and both times there were mistakes that make things so inconvenient for the customer. I'm a new young professional and could have been your customer for decades to come, but I will likely be taking my dress pants services to Gap, Ann Taylor, or the like. Please take better care.

Went in the store for an exchange. I picked up the wrong size from the clearance rack. They didnt have the item so I decided to return and was turned down with a receipt and a tag attached to my dress. I asked why and was told I had to go back to the original purchase store because the item didnt have the second tag. Never wore the item. I noticed it was the wrong size and I still see the tag attached. Cashier said no. Customer service was closed as it was a Sunday. On my way out I checked and almost all the items in the clearance rack had only 1 tag. Called customer service the next day and was told I would hear back from them before the end of the day they needed to contact the store to let them know I was coming to return but I never got a call. Out of curiosity I called the purchase store and the manager said most of the Clearance items do not have that tag so I could come back and return but it is so out of my way. Have an item I dont need with a tag and a receipt. I guess I still have to wait for customer service. Worst customer experience ever.

If you use a promo code online, it won't work. If you use a gift card to buy something and then they don't have it in stock they will still let you checkout but will not refund back to your credit account so if you deleted the electronic gift card you are out the money with no resolution provided. Just terrible. If I don't go to the store I don't shop here. I've previously spent thousands of dollars here but luckily their suits and clothes last quite a while. I'll be finding a replacement store for Express next time I do a major shopping spree since I'm tired of trying to buy stuff online and not being able to.

I actually enjoy enjoy the apparel from Express, however the customer service is so ridiculous I highly doubt I will be making purchases any further. I received a phone call this morning about me somehow signed up for a express credit card and being charged extra $70 for it. I tried to talk to the customer service about not remembering signing up for the card and all I get is the rudest and most impatient person on the other hand. Abosulute horrible experience, I guess I just got scammed by a well established global company, yikes

I like Express clothing, when they left Canada it was a shame. If you're placing orders online from Canada, watch out for hidden charges. Although it's not stated, you're ordering in USD which immediately increases your CAD total. They also add a hidden, sneaky charge, in my case, an extra $68USD that wasn't notified in advance or itemized on my bill. I only noticed it because I checked my credit card the following day and the amount was significantly more than I anticipated. When I subsequently checked my order document, there was a total for merchandize, tax - $0, shipping - $0 then the overall total was +$68USD. In my opinion, this is fraudulent and illegal. I called to ask for a refund of the entire order which they told me they wouldn't do. They did, however, refund the $68USD sneaky charge. In addition, they make it very difficult / expensive to return international orders. Very disappointing, I will not be shopping here again.

Order simply was not shipped, and Customer Service is unresponsive and unreachable via phone line. I suppose they just stole from me, maybe not intentionally, just because their logistics is bad, but the result - I lost money and I have no product. So decide for yourself if you are ready for this when you shop at their web-site

Is so sad to notice a big company like Express try to not take 15% coupon from their wabsit saying because is store wide sale but the coupon was on express page and it doesn't exclude the items we have purchased but worse thing they were laying over and over about it they lost our business from their dishonesty.

I rarely write negative reviews. I'm not a troll. But this is a warning. Don't do business with this company out of China. I ordered an item and it never came. They told me it was an undeliverable address. Wrong. It was correct as I had submitted it. Maybe they enter it wrong? We had a long back and forth communication when it was going through Pay Pal. Then, when I accidentally missed the deadline with PayPal to escalate the dispute, suddenly they didn't feel the need to worry about me anymore. They told me to go to my post office. It had long ago been returned. They refused to either refund my purchase or send a new one. The crazy thing is that it was a $20 item. It was the principle for me not the money. When I finally told them I had gone to the post office and they didn't have it, they basically dropped me. No communication. This is a warning that you order at your own risk.

I purchased some items on sale, then the website offered an additional discount the next day. I asked for a price adjustment, but the customer service agent says they don't offer price adjustments on certain sales. Then, they sent me an email while I was on the chat showing that my order had just shipped, so I could not cancel it. This is the first time ever that I have purchased an item from Express.com on a Saturday, and it shipped out on the next day (Sunday). I found this odd, but in any case avoid the sales tactics and shop at other retailers who actually give you a price adjustment, usually within 10-14 days of your original purchase.
