I live in a rural town in Canada. I was not happy to have to add $*** in shipping charges to the cost of my order. This was mitigated for sure by the fact that the product was still cheaper by about $*** when compared to similar products available locally. Unfortunately there were problems with the shipping information. First, I visited the local post office 2x only to later learn that ups doesn't deliver there. When I went to the shippment tracking sight the shipping information I received was innacurate, in fact it clearly indicated that the order was in a neighbouring town 1 hour away. I only learned about this after not having received any update for several days. When I went back to the original shipping confirmation email, clicked the convenient link provided, I was disappointed to find that the product had been sitting in this other town for 5 days. There was a note on the tracking site indicating that the myself or evo had requested the delivery be held in the other town for five days. I made no such request. Then, after several futile attempts to find a ups store in the other town, (I only just moved to jasper) I called Evo and was told that my order was at a local store, this information was not provided in the tracking info I received. I went to a little local store where it turns out my package had been dropped off and waiting for almost a week...during which I would rather have been skiing. Now on my first time tightening the laces in the liner the grommet has broken off. This has not been fun. Also the boot does not fit the same as the black diamond boot I tried in a store. Granted they are different models but I had expected the foot mold to be the same. I don't think I'll be able to use this product, so I'll have to return it at my own expense and order another product despite the product malfunction. Which will completely negate the cost benefit of ordering from evo.
