Events & Adventures has genuinely been life‑changing for me. Coming from another country, building a new social circle can be overwhelming, but E&A made it feel effortless and fun. There's always something happening - from book club and cooking classes to weekend trips and active adventures like biking in the Everglades. I've met wonderful people, tried things I never would've done on my own, and I love not having to plan or drive everywhere myself. I've also made some amazing friends along the way and built friendships that are truly priceless. The variety of events keeps things exciting, and the hosts put real effort into making each outing enjoyable. If you're looking to meet people, explore your city, and add some adventure to your life, E&A is an amazing way to do it.

Every event I've gone to I've had a blast at and have not regretted. I wish that more were closer to where I live but the majority are within an hour of my home. The group administrators are really open to suggestions which is great because if you want to do something that you don't see in the calendar you can just tell them and ask if they can make it happen! I've met amazing people so far in the few weeks I've been a member and look forward to building lasting friendships.

I e had the opportunity to do things I never would have done on my own and meet some Wonderful people. So glad I joined this group, it has been such a great experience. Highly recommend. Everyone is very welcoming and it's such a great community.

I like going to the events at the roaring social, even though it's over an hour away from me, but almost everybody left before the event was up. Doesn't really give you a chance to meet people and it seemed like people were in their own little groups and I was excluded.

E&A has gotten me out of the house when I was getting very comfortable always staying home. I met some wonderful people and formed real connections. I've lived in the area my whole life and have seen more of DC and VA in the past 2 years than I ever have. It's a great group and great opportunity. The group provides a level of comfort because many people come in with a similar mindset in regard to social anxiety. My social skills and confidence have improved greatly since I joined! I enjoy it so much I decided to become a lifetime member!

Jul 18, 2026

As a lifetime member I wonder why I paid all that $$$ when former members can show up at events without paying. Certain hosts consistently show up to events with their boyfriends and an entourage of expired members who did not pay to extend their memberships. The kicker is that the event manager, an employee of E&A set the tone by bringing her boyfriend to all her events. This takes away spots that actual members can use. I have anxiety about going to events because some of these expired members bring unnecessary tension and drama to the events. The last event I attended had 18 sign ups and only about 10 were actual members.

Nov 4, 2025

I've been to three events so far and had fun at all three events. Not sure if the membership is worth it for me in particular because I only have time to do events that happen on Saturdays and Sundays. The calendar does not always have events on those days that I like so I'm not really utilizing it to. It's full advantage. Good group of people, though!

Dec 16, 2025

Every time I tried to participate it's the same handful of people. All the images posted it's the same people. I paid $2500 thinking the price point would attract semi professional people but it is just an old man boys club. None of which is not my type to make an evening worth my time. I'm very disappointed with the quality of the individual players and the website shows completely different demographics. The marketing. Strategy works then you have buyer's remorse. Now I have a big bill and nothing to show for it. I'm not going to bash the organization on social media but I was lead to believe something that's not real. Bunch of over weight boys wearing nascar T-shirts to a dinner party I'm the fool for believing your marketing tools of quality experience with semi attractive people. I can go to a dive bar and find those guys

Jul 15, 2026

I joined E&A when I moved to Arizona to learn the city and do activities that I enjoy. They have really helped me make the Phoenix area a home. It's also let me explore different experiences to learn new things about myself as well.

Events and adventures has been an amazing experience in the about two years I have been in the group so far. Every month we have so many fun events from dinners to hikes to activity nights there is something for everyone. Also not a lot of repeats and if there's an idea, E&A does their best to make it happen. I have met some amazing young professionals in the group I am glad to call friends I would not have met without it as it got me out of my social bubble. Seeing it grow and grow each year has been amazing and no matter what the group throws at it Gracen and Ashton have always delivered and made things happen! Plus since it is a national group and you can go to other sections I have visited a few other E&A clubs and made some friends nationwide especially with the national and international trips! Looking forward to another year of E&A fun!

Nov 3, 2025

The events have been very disappointing. If they are not cancelled due a lack of people signing up, there are few people attending. This is supposed to be a way to meet single people. I have not met a single person that I would be interested in dating. A lot of money for a poorly run organization.

Nov 4, 2025

I am in the Seattle events and adventures, and have been to one event because they all seem to be targeted to a younger crowd. I am 60, and was hoping to meet some older people. Very disappointed, and would not join again.

Mar 4, 2026

They advertise themselves as a fun social group for young people with the intention of meeting other singles and dating. If that is what you are looking for then turn away. No young people, no dating. This is basically BucketListers for people over 50. There is low value in E&A and would not recommend to other people.

Oct 12, 2025

There aren't as many activities as I thought there would be. Metro Atlanta is a big place and with work and traffic it can be difficult to get to venues, especially after work. While I have met some very nice people and have enjoyed getting to know them better, there don't seem to be many members and no way to connect outside of the events. A membership directory would be nice.

Nov 3, 2025

Determined to make sure I got value out of my E&A membership, I sign up for as many events as I can. My criteria is... is this event something I can do, and wouldn't mind doing? That sounds like a low bar, but the events themselves are only to get you in the door. The best part of E&A is the welcoming feeling you get from all the members. I go to the events to spend time talking with my local chapter and slowly making new friends. The fact that many of the events are enjoyable and fun is just a bonus.

Oct 11, 2025

Awesome group well established. I am so glad that I made this decision. I feel it has changed my whole outlook on life. These peeps are great

Dec 12, 2025

The PAID Group Organizer never returned my phone calls or text messages when I was attempting to contact her about where a group was meeting. I never heard from her at all. Group id too Expensive and they want all the money up front. I needd to set up a monthly payment plan for an unlimited membership and my request was rejected. Events are primarily organized around expensive bars and high end restaurants Events are attended only by members in their 30s and 40s. I need to have older people in my social group - 50s and 60s.

Jul 15, 2026

Have participated in a variety of events and activities. Nice group of people. Enjoy finding new places and things to do in the area

Jul 31, 2026

I was a paying member of Events & Adventures for approximately four years and volunteered as a host for roughly three of those years. I invested a significant amount of time, money, and effort into the Phoenix club, so this review is not based on one disappointing event or a brief interaction. It reflects years of firsthand experience with the membership, events, local management, and upper management. To be fair, I met some wonderful people through the club and formed relationships that I value. However, those positive experiences came from the members themselves—not from the company's leadership. Over time, I watched the organization become increasingly dysfunctional, retaliatory, and disconnected from the people paying its substantial membership fees. One of my biggest concerns was the behavior of an upper-level manager who took control during a period of leadership turnover. Her management style came across to me as a power trip. Constructive criticism was not treated as an opportunity to improve the club; it was treated as disloyalty. After I raised legitimate concerns about how the club was being managed, I was removed from the volunteer host position I had held for approximately three years. Whatever explanation the company may now attach to that decision, the timing and surrounding circumstances made it appear retaliatory. Her hostility toward our former local manager also appeared intensely personal. The former manager was well liked by many members and had built genuine relationships within the club. When she later attended an event, upper management responded by canceling the club's recurring game night. In my opinion, that effectively punished paying members because management disliked one former employee. Rather than separating a personal dispute from the interests of the club, leadership allowed what appeared to be a petty vendetta to interfere with events members had already paid to access. From what I observed, this manager seemed more focused on demonstrating authority and diminishing her predecessor than on operating a successful social club. Her conduct appeared driven by personal hostility and insecurity about the former manager's positive relationships with members. Paying customers should not lose events or be placed in the middle of management's personal grudges. This was not an isolated management problem. Host meetings were canceled at the last minute after volunteers had already rearranged their schedules or traveled to attend. Events were removed or changed with inadequate communication. Leadership turnover was constant, and decisions often seemed arbitrary. Volunteers who donated their time were treated as disposable rather than as people helping keep the local club functioning. My most serious concern, however, involves the company's handling of safety complaints. I personally submitted statements and complaints to the owner on behalf of multiple women who alleged sexual assault, rape, or other serious sexual misconduct involving the same club member. I am not claiming that I personally witnessed those incidents or that I am in a position to determine criminal guilt. What I can state firsthand is that the women's allegations were communicated to me, I forwarded their accounts to the owner, and I retain the related correspondence. The owner's response was essentially that their statements were not sufficient evidence for him to act. I found that response deeply troubling for a company that markets itself as a safe way for singles to meet people. Even more concerning, the owner later made public statements on his podcast suggesting that the company had never received complaints or accusations of that nature. I cannot reconcile that public claim with the complaints I personally submitted to him. Whether he believed the allegations were proven is a separate issue. Saying or implying that no such allegations were ever reported is inconsistent with my direct experience and the written communications I retain. My criticism is not that the owner was required to declare anyone guilty based solely on an allegation. My criticism is that multiple serious reports deserved a responsible, transparent safety response—not dismissal followed by a public portrayal that such reports had never been made. Prospective members deserve to know how the company actually responds when women bring serious safety concerns to its attention. I also believe the sales presentation is misleading about the financial value of membership. Prospective members are told that the club receives group discounts on activities and that these discounts help justify the extremely high membership fees. In practice, I observed events for which members were charged more than the publicly available or direct cost of participating. Based on the prices I compared, the club appeared to add a markup to individual events rather than simply passing along a group discount. That means members may pay thousands of dollars for membership and then pay additional event prices that include a profit margin for the company. Anyone considering joining should ask for specific examples of actual retail prices, the club's negotiated prices, and the amounts charged to members. Do not rely on a vague promise of "group discounts." The business model felt predatory to me: a high-pressure sales presentation, an exorbitant long-term membership cost, additional charges for events, questionable pricing transparency, and limited accountability once the contract is signed. The social possibilities are emphasized during the sales process, but the organizational dysfunction, management retaliation, event markups, and handling of safety complaints are not. There are good people in the club, and members can absolutely build friendships. But those friendships do not excuse the conduct of the company running it. In my experience, the value came almost entirely from the other members, while the company collected substantial fees, marked up activities, tolerated chaotic leadership, retaliated against criticism, and failed to handle serious safety allegations in a manner I considered responsible. Based on my four years as a member and three years volunteering as a host, I cannot recommend Events & Adventures. Anyone considering joining should carefully read the entire contract, investigate cancellation and refund provisions, compare event prices independently, ask exactly what safety screening is performed, and demand clear answers about how misconduct complaints are investigated before paying anything.

E+A, well, I did have a whole lot of fun with this group when it was going strong. I have a feeling this group will NEVER be the same. What was supposed to be a fun filled event for me turned out to be DRAMA-not for me! I'm actually glad I'm no longer part of this group anymore. I was treated poorly towards the end. Not worth it!
January 19, 2018

If I could give this company no stars I would. I was really excited about joining this and getting out and doing things but I was unable to make the time so when I sent my letter of cancellation they never refunded me. I contacted the office I interviewed with, which had a very unprofessional interviewer who got really personal and made me uncomfortable, to let them know and was never contacted. I am now trying to get my money back from them and they are withholding it from me. I have never attended an event and I want to share with others how this company is run like a scam and all they care about is getting your money. Which seem ironic since the company was designed to help get people out and to meet one another. Beware, they are not truthful and don't care about you. Only the money you have!

Waste of time / Poorly Run
December 14, 2017

Don't join - the crowd is mostly 40+, the events are poorly thought out / run, and they will try to lock you into a long term contract. Not only do you pay a substantial membership fee, but you also have to pay large fees for the events themselves - not worth it.

If you do join though, ONLY DO MONTH TO MONTH - and be SURE that they aren't slipping a contract on your required time period.

Worst company I have ever dealt with!
May 25, 2017

Worst company I have ever dealt with!
I was living in the lower mainland months ago, and became interested after hearing one of their countless ads on the radio.
I contacted them, and setup a interview to see if being a member was something I might be interested in.
I told them in advance that I would not be joining, and that the first meeting was just to see the program, get the fixed costs, and get a sense for who the company was.
I went in for an "interview" which was a hard sell, and very little actual info provided by the salesman I met.
I explained that I just wanted the info to decide at a later date.
He told me that I was "wasting his f*cking time if I didn't sign up right then and there." That he "didn't do second meetings."
He also showed me pictures of attractive female members and said "dude, you are going to get so much p*ssy, you won't know what to do with it all." and to "keep a rubber on it" so I didn't get anyone pregnant or catch any STDs.
I said I was not into that, and just looking to meet people, since I was new to the area.
He also told me that I could quit if it didn't work out for me. I figured I'd try for a few months and go from there. I left a $100 deposit for my membership, since I didn't get a trusting feeling from him, and didn't want them to have my credit card number.
So I reluctantly and under alot of pressure, and left the office without any contract, paperwork, receipt, nothing but a calendar, and his business card.

I looked at the calendar after I left, and thought I would see once they had the next months schedule to decide if I wanted to stay a member or not. After seeing the schedule, and my work schedule shifting to evening, I contacted Events and Adventures to cancel my membership.
After several emails back and forth, they told me I could not quit, and I was 'on the hook' for 18 months. I explained that wasn't what I was told, but they kept sending me bills.
After giving up trying to explain it to them, they hired a collection agency to collect from me.

DO NOT JOIN!

DO NOT JOIN THIS GROUP
August 4, 2015

You will pay a lot of money to belong to a group that is poorly run- the events are usually cancelled for poor attendance and if the event IS held, you will be one of maybe 3 or 4 people there- none of which were close to my age. A complete waste of time. I didn't meet a single person. Not to mention, they overcharged me every month- ran my card at random times hoping I wouldn't notice. If I missed an event I was charged money. The only way out of your contract is if you get married or die. I really regret joining this group.

PATHETIC COMPANY!
May 14, 2014

PATHETIC COMPANY! Stay away from them!

Their sales rep/manager used every high pressure sales tactic in the book. When I politely thing you for your time and tried to leave, she actually chased to the door with more high pressure sales tactics. She kept interruption me and when I just left, she yelled at me "that why you're single." What a pathetic, miserable and desperate person! STAY AWAY FROM THEM!

I joined because I wanted to meet quality people and I liked the fact that everyone is background checked. Not everyone can afford to join, I realize that, but it also means that those who do can afford to go out and have fun.

SCAM forsure, I signed up when I first moved to Texas and wanted to meet new people and they were all about bringing me in for an "interview" psssh, BS... they were giving me their selling pitch and got me to sign up for an outrageous $$$$ and they get you good with there slamming contract. Went to one even... it was sooo boring and everyone that showed was out of my age group (which I was told there'd be plenty 20 somethings there) Nothing was included in the membership fee, had to pay for any drinks or food i purchased. I tried cancelling my membership that very next day and no one would get back to me, I wrote the headquarters and office in my area about my disappointment with the club and how I wanted out of my contract... they didn't comply and I had to cancel my credit card so payments wouldn't go through. Of course I'm getting notices that I need to pay... but I refuse to after being taken advantage of like that. I WARN EVERYONE THINKING ABOUT JOINING>>>DON'T NOT WORTH IT and they will suck you dry if you let them!

Like a fool, I signed up for Events & Adventures in Tampa right after my divorce. I was pressured by the sales people and one of their main criteria for accepting me as a member was that I was employed and made a certain level of income. They make a big point to tell you they only accept employed professionals. After about a year, I was laid off of my job. I tried to quit A&E because I could no longer afford the monthly membership fee (I have 2 teenagers and am living only on unemployment and child support--I sure as heck am not going to send them what little money I have now!) and they told me I couldn't quit and they wouldn't let me out of my contract unless I move somewhere they don't have an office or get married. This is so wrong. So, I'm trying to pay rent, insurance, utilities, gas for my car, and feed my kids on less than $3000 a month and I'm supposed to send them $30 a month? I don't think so. I only went to one event--a very lame volleyball night. So basically they scammed me for a couple thousand dollars and I got about 3 hrs of volleyball. Don't be sucked into their high pressure sales pitch. You can meet more people at Starbucks and in the grocery store for free!

The good
December 1, 2010

The good- the commercials and the people who actually join are serious about dating
The bad- $1500 fee plus monthly expenses $30/month about... and the hard sell with multiple phone calls.

Try match, try chemistry, even eharmony, then check out this site. They claim it is not a dating site and it about just meeting new friends who enjoy similar activities, but you can do that for free with meetup.
